Came here on a random Monday morning, however it also happened to be a federal holiday. As expected this place was packed, but we literally walked in and got seated immediately, which was fantastic. I could not tell if they took reservations online as I did try to search, but I do not believe that they do. As soon as you walk in, it is super bright and light and airy, which is fantastic and you can actually just stop to pick up a drink to go as well as some pastries from their counter. We however, came in to have breakfast. The menu here is very specific, and as some posh people may call specifically curated. There is definitely nothing on this menu that is super extremely sweet or super extremely savory. Which I don't mind at all. And then when the food actually came out, I would say it's a very fair portion however, considering the fair portion, the prices were rather high. For example, I got the Elia pancake stack and you get to choose between two different sauces. And I believe this was something like $15 for three pancakes keep in mind no meat very little fruit on the side nothing really fancy about it. And after taking a bite, there's nothing really different or unique about the buttermilk pancakes at all. Service was super friendly and attentive so absolutely no complaints here whatsoever. So as long as it keeps up, I think this will try not to be a really strong location. I believe there were two other restaurants in the same location prior. It is located in that built out area right off of touhy and good luck getting parking on the main deck. You'll have to go underneath but the good thing is it's free for three hours. Overall, I would definitely say I would come back again. If I was in the area again it is definitely worth a visit.

On a quick trip to visit family in Park Ridge (suburb of Chicago, IL), we enjoyed brunch at Elia Cafe on a Wednesday morning before 11am. Our server was friendly and seated us in a bright window booth. He was helpful in answering our various questions about drinks and menu items. The food was tasty and we had a very pleasant brunch. The place is bright and clean. It is spacious if you have bigger groups, too. They also offer baked pastries and items along with hot drinks at their front counter in case you want a quick bite to take away.

Came in after Pilates with some girlfriends for brunch. Place was crowded but we didn't have to wait long for a table. The walls and decor are light colors and it really brightens things up. Service was great, food was even better. I had the toughest time deciding what to get. Can't wait to come back to try lunch!

This place is absolutely amazing!!!! I am visiting town from down south (Florida) and I can say this is by far the best breakfast place I have tried since I left my house. I came here two days in a row that's how good it was I had to come back. The food sits just right!! The ingredients are fresh and food tastes clean and healthy!!! I cannot recommend it enough go try if you're in the area whoa. You welcome!

Kalamata frittata. I travel a lot. This has to be one the best cafe breakfast places I have been to in the country. Great job!!

I don't know why but lately some business and I have been getting off on the wrong foot- Elia being one of them. When my family of 9 and I arrived on a very busy Sunday, we were advised that it would be a 30 minute wait. Thirty minutes is somewhat doable with two toddlers and a 6 year old but then that 30 minute wait became an hour and thirty. Omgosh, the kids were losing it. The worst part is that we didn't know that if you're coming in as a group of +10, you should call in to make a reservation. I was hopeful. As God as my witness, the only reason I managed to convince my family to stay that long was because the ownership was genuinely sorry and kept communicating to us how they're trying to find us seats. To their defense, some customers with big groups paid their checks but would linger around and what is the ownership supposed to do? Tell them to leave? I understand their predicament and then after an hour and half, they finally got us seated. I mean they literally put together the table in front of us and forgot to bring the silverware but it's okay, we were just grateful to be seated. The ownership again came over to apologize for the inconvenience of waiting so long and brought over loukamadis (sorry for the bad spelling) on the house. They were SO delicious- if you've never had them they are fried pieces of dough covered in honey- so good. The waiter came over almost immediately and was very sweet. We all ordered our food and were shocked by how quickly it arrived. In true Greek hospitality fashion, the portions were generous and so delicious. I haven't had a genuinely delicious salmon egg Benedict in a minute so I honestly had very little expectations but OMGOSH, when it arrived I was like okay this looks promising. It was absolutely delicious- I didn't order it with capers because I saw they had an olive spread which is salty in itself but the olive spread along with the egg and smoked salmon with the hollandaise over it was nothing short of heavenly. The hash browns were also cooked to perfection. Needless to say my entire party of ten was silent eating their food and the only comment made was "well, that was worth all theeeee wait" haha. I also tried the stuffed Dubai chocolate French toast- equally delicious but the topping on the cake for me was the cappuccino. The atmosphere was very chill, this place could be easily marketed for a beautiful baby shower or bridal shower venue (if that's something that's offered) but plenty of space. What struck me the most was that this is a family run operation and not just that, you could easily see the cohesion between the family and there was order- one of the siblings was in the kitchen overseeing the food and orders, another one managing the seating and another one overseeing the customers. Please check this place, you won't regret it. I know I'm still thinking about the food.

A casual sit-down place with friendly staff and delicious food! Lots of healthy options and the interior looked super clean. I also loved the music playing -- aughts indie rock. I hope to eat here again.

I've been to a lot of brunch spots, but Elia Cafe really stands out. The atmosphere is welcoming without trying too hard, and the food speaks for itself--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with intention. Every dish we tried felt well thought out and balanced, not just for presentation but for taste too. It's the kind of place you leave already thinking about your next visit. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area

I loved Elia. I get my dog groomed in Park Ridge so need a breakfast spot to eat in while he's being groomed. Some places I've tried aren't very good but Elia was excellent. It's a beautiful space with an interesting menu. Staff was friendly and just need a little bit to get their timing down. My sister had the village omelette and I had the Nova Lox bagel platter. Everything was delicious even the simple tomato and cucumber salad with mine. I definitely will eat there again and hope I'm more adventurous.

One of the prettiest cafes I've ever been too. It was calming me the minute I walked in with the light beiges and greens and browns. Very clean as well. There were so many good options on the menu. The food we had was pretty good. My eggs saganaki was quite salty but everything else we had was pretty good. The Wagyu hash skillet was our favorite. Service was great. There's a parking lot next door and walkable distance to the restaurant.

Parking lot for Elia Cafe and Rear Entrance.

Not a traditional breakfast spot, yet very nice and my breakfast was on point. The service was great, everyone was friendly. The restaurant is super clean. I tried the Pistachio Latte with oat milk and it was EXCELLENT. I also went with the Traditional Breakfast Eggs over medium, bacon(cooked perfectly) Sourdough toast and fruit(Fresh and Sweet). There are Fritatas and Benny's on the menu as well as fresh in house baked goods. I tried to substitute my toast for a croissant, but they were being baked and not yet ready... my timing was a bit off. None the less, I enjoyed my experience and I think you will too. BTW, they offer Military and Police Discount

I know it's tough to cook pork chops, but, they're a restaurant. You'd think they'd know how to cook pork chops the right way. So, in conclusion, it was a big letdown for me on this new find. The menus are expansive and you order at the counter when you walk in. There are plenty of tables for dining in, and a few were taken while we were there. There was a steady stream of phone orders coming in for pick up, and the restaurant was busy overall. We were helped right away and the staff at the counter were so friendly. I ordered a Maxwell street sausage as a meal ($5 additional for a drink and fries) and my partner ordered the American Gyro sandwich and also as a meal. We grabbed a table and our drinks from the fountain machine and only waited a few minutes for the number on our receipt to be called with our order. The food here is so fresh and delicious. This is one of the best Maxwell street sausages I've had around, the bread was perfect and soft inside and crispy on the outside with the sausage split and grilled and perfectly sweet caramelized onions. The fries looked like they came in frozen/pre-cut but were fried up perfect and a generous portion. The Gyro came stacked with meat, it wasn't dry, and had great flavor. Because the food was so delicious I decided to grab a piece of baklava to go, which I was assured was homemade and delicious - and they were right. So sweet, fresh, textured, rich, luxurious. Don't skip the baklava when you stop by! This is definitely a spot that will be added to our regular rotation of lunch/dinner spots around town. The service is the quickest I've ever seen and staff are friendly and professional. There were lots of kids in there, but I'd say it's nicer restaurant. The spicy whipped feta was tasty, but not spicy at all. It had pistachios and pomegranates on top - i'm not sure if they gave us the wrong whipped feta or they've changed the menu, but there was zero spice to it. The lamb ragu hummus was also good. Super hearty and a great twist to a normally plain dip. The veggies that came with it were displayed SO stunning. Rainbow carrots and lots of fun veggies. The pita was delicious as well. We had 2 chicken kabobs - the grilled and the kefta. Both were seasoned and cooked great. I'd get the Kefta one again - the tzatziki it comes with was perfect. For dessert, we had pistachio and cookies n sprinkles Greek frozen yogurt. It really is Greek frozen yogurt and you can taste it. The pistachio one came with almost a pistachio infused sauce on top. If you order at the table, it's a much larger portion than if you get it from the to- go window. We got both one at the table and one to go, and the one of the table did taste significantly better. I'm not kidding - you order and then within 3 to 5 minutes the dish comes out. They really know how to get you in and out, but we also had wine so it's fun to sit and just relax too. Overall, the food quality wasn't quite as high as I was hoping (comparing it to Ava), but I'd come back of course.
