Goldy's is a gem! It's got that classic diner feel and the entire staff is incredible! Everything I've tried is great from their skillets to their soup, I have yet to try something I didn't like. It's cash only so keep that in mind but otherwise I cannot say enough good things about this place! I take my son sometimes when school is out or he gets out early and he loves it as well! Good eggs, pancakes and waffles...The service is good but they are cheap on the coffee..To fill you up more than twice you will need to go look for them.. So it is intentional..No frills just good food... The prices are also decent and low for the quality and quantity...If they had more of and better coffee..( they need vanilla and hazelnut creamers like everyone else) And if they had more and better washrooms...Id give it 5 stars..The servers are really good. Too bad the management will not let them give out the coffee.... read more

I have to say that Goldie's food is good. The problem here is that their staff is very slow. They don't come back to give you coffee or see if everything's OK. They don't give you, your full order. You can't complain, because they are all related to each other. That's not good. A conflict of interest for sure. sometimes I'll pay more than other days and I'll be ordering the same thing. I will not be returning to this restaurant, their staff is very, slow, not consistent. read more

I've tried almost every diner in Park Ridge and was unhappy with their food until I tried Goldy's Grill. Why is breakfast so difficult. I had one egg, sausage links, hash browns and buttered rye toast. (They ask if you want your toast buttered.). I also had silver dollar pancakes. Everything was delicious. Goldy's is small so it gets crowded. Our server BeeBee was very nice. I'm looking forward to dining there again. PS. Mr Stacks was the absolute worst read more

This is it. To me this is a Northwest side treasure. An actual counter to eat and drink coffee at. What I also enjoy, is I meeting people from the neighborhood. Grab a newspaper and go get something to eat. read more

I passed this place by whenever I was in the McDonalds drive-thru. One day I instead pulled into the parking lot and walked into Goldy's. I never went to McDonalds again. I always made sure I had cash before I went to Goldy's since it's "Cash Only." First of all always check the specials on the board. There is something different every day. Breakfast on one side and Lunch on the other. Worth a try. There is always today's "Sun-Times" on the counter if you are by yourself. The smell of bacon permeates the air. I have met lifelong friends there occupying the booths. The food is great. Never had a bad meal ever. Whether it be breakfast or lunch. They have excellent burgers. Love this place. A little cozy, friendly cafe. read more

Not from around the area but grabbed a bite for lunch. Really consistent. Make sure to bring cash as they do not accept card or they have atm but it charges. They have an adorable spot and I like that they offer outdoor seating as well. Everyone was kind and efficient. Would try again read more

****PLEASE READ**** Goldy's has always been a nice family breakfast restaurant. However, the waitresses are very rude and not responsive at all. I asked for silverware because the table was short and I waited almost ten minutes before I can start eating my meal. On an occasion previously, I ordered raisin toast which was burnt and asked for another slice and the waitress scraped it with a knife and brought it back. I honestly couldn't believe it. I had to ask for water twice before she came to fill my glass. It's the small things and when I ask she gets fussy about it and rolls her eyes. The owner and her family are very nice, but the wait staff is the worst I've ever experienced. This is not a way a person wants to start their day or even be around when eating. To the Management/Owner, you have a good restaurant with a loyal customer base including myself, but I will no longer be eating here for a long time. At least until the wait staff has changed. I know it's a hard time to hire, but train them to be nice and to be conscious of your patrons. They make it very uncomfortable to be around. read more

Consistently good food and service. It's not just comfort food. The place itself is cozy and comfortable. There are so many breakfast/lunch places now but Goldy's is just as good if not better than most of the places out there. Just keep in mind it's cash only. read more

Recommended by a friend. Good food, decent prices. Didn't get many coffee refills I had to keep flagging her down and CASH only? I don't get why they do that. Sure there's an ATM then you're double whacked by the ATM fee & your bank. I'd go back but bring my own cash read more

Goldy's is a hidden gem! No matter what you order, you know it's going to be good! Every time I come here though I MUST get the rueben sandwich because it is honestly the best I've ever had! Best pancakes in town and in our top 5 overall. We have been here twice and both the Western and Denver omelettes were good. We also had the veggie skillet with chicken breast both times. All of the ingredients in our food was perfectly cooked and proportioned which was impressive seeing that a second time. Every bite had a little bit of everything. Hash-browns are made with freshly cut potatoes and we asked for onions in ours. All of the food had a fresh taste. It's not a fancy joint esthetically but the waitresses we had were charming and full of class! read more

Had breakfast here on a Friday morning after staying at the adjacent hotel. Unfortunately, the…read moreexperience was disappointing. The service felt lacking and at times came across as slightly rude, which set the tone right away. I was seated in a booth by a large window, and the windowsill was visibly dirty with dust and even bugs, which was pretty off-putting while trying to eat. The breakfast itself was mediocre at best. Between the service and the cleanliness issues, it just didn't meet expectations. I wouldn't return based on this experience.

I ordered a beef and sausage combo hot peppers on the side. The peppers were on the sandwich the beef was horrible no taste and grizzly. It makes me sad because they use to have great food. Especially broasted chicken. Will not be ordering again especially 17.99 for a beef combo.
