Very nice service, good food and clean restaurant. The pancakes were light and fluffy! The burrito contained fresh vegetables too.

Solid breakfast diner with tasty food and very friendly service. The look and ambiance of this place are nothing special at all and can actually use some work. Restaurant was empty with a tv running in the background and it didn't really have much of a vibe. Furniture and decor was lacking. Be prepared to have to ask for water if you order another drink. Which shows a lack of experience and training on ownership side. Our waitress was the star of the show. She was incredibly sweet and attentive and always kept my coffee full. My daughter had the cinnamon roll French toast which was delicious. My son had the Nutella crepes which were ok. I opted for lunch with a chicken panini. It had no flavor at all was messy and the chicken was tough and chewy. There was supposed to be chipotle mayo in it but it tasted bland. The fries that it came with were great. It also came with a cream of spinach soup. It was too heavy and filled with fat. I love a creamy soup but this was overkill. I like the convenience of this being in a large strip mall with plenty of parking. I get my dog groomed in the same plaza so it's nice to have a spot to have breakfast in the area. Overall I would come back only if convenient. It you are in the area it's a nice breakfast diner. Aside from that I really wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

We've enjoyed brunch and lunch here a few times in recent months. It's not your stereotypical diner. The straightforward food and plain décor might not wow you, but the dining room is immaculately clean and bright, and the service at this family-owned café is friendly and caring. And the prices are down-to-earth. These are the things that matter. The picture-perfect omelets are served with the usual accompaniments. $2.00 added to any sandwich gets you a generous bowl of soup plus fries. The split pea soup is so thick, you can stand a spoon in it. The chicken salad and the filling in the chicken wrap (essentially the same) are closer to ho-hum than yum. Best thing I've had here to date is the Apple Gouda Melt, a savory-sweet sandwich made with sliced ham, gouda cheese, thinly sliced apple and cranberry mayo. If you like Monte Cristo sandwiches, you'll love this.

This town needs a place like Angel's Pancake cafe. In terms of its breakfast offerings, it sits between the old-school diners (don't get me wrong, I love me an old-school diner) and the vibe-heavy, picture-perfect brunch spots (I love those too) with all those fruit twist garnishes. The food is more upscale, but simpler and a little more plain in its presentation. There are interesting concoctions/combinations on their menu, but not THAT wacky. I had the lumberjack skillet (light cheese) and I thought the corned beef hash was spot on. The pancakes are not all that fluffy, but that may be their thing. I also tried the bacon cheeseburger (hold the cheese) and the you can tell the bacon is made from a breakfast place! Yay! I'm also a fan of battered fries, but that's a personal preference. It was never too crowded both times I went, but the service was pretty attentive and quick. I'm tempted to say "I wish they'd have this on the menu, or that on the menu" - I think there's room to get a little wackier, more personality, more character... but I also need to keep my comments on how it is as it is.

Angel's is a small breakfast and brunch restaurant in a strip mall in Morton Grove. It's simple, with not too many appointments, but it's clean and neat. When we arrived there were many tables open. We were told to sit wherever we liked, so we sat at a booth near the window. (The window overlooked the strip mall parking lot . Our server was great. He kept our coffee cups filled, and took care to ensure we had everything we needed. He helped make this an even better experience. The food was great. I was with my mom, who had her usual single poached egg and coffee. I preferred the Jamaican Skillet. I was impressed with what other Yelpers said in their reviews, so I gave it a try. The portion was huge. Potato's, onions, a generous amount of steak, jalapeños, with an egg, over easy on top. (I'm sure I missed an ingredient.) I didn't want the pancakes, so he offered to substitute fruit - it was fresh and sweet. The coffee was okay, but I can be a snob about coffee. All-in-all, it was a great experience. We will be back. And, if you are in the area, you should try it, too.

This place was good! Came here on a Sunday and fortunately for my friend and I, it wasn't crazy busy. I think it definitely picks up after 11:30 am (we got there at 10:30). Good amount of tables and the restaurant looked clean. Server was attentive and helped me decide on the French toast (I was stuck between those and pancakes). The French toast weren't thick brioche but still packed a good amount of flavor and still had a fluffiness to them. I really enjoyed them! Ham was cooked perfectly and was not overly salty at all which is a plus for me. My friend got the peanut butter oatmeal which she also enjoyed. I've already told my mom about this place and she says she'll be trying it out soon!

Food was absolutely delicious. Start to finish, from the soup and perfectly crunchy fries, to the flavor of the Chipotle Mayo and Pickles alongside the sandwich.

Walking in, I was a bit underwhelmed. The interior is bland and the TVs running in the background make the room seem busier that it was... to the point of distraction. The service people are friendly and helpful which are nice. I started with an iced tea but had to have it replaced. I am not sure if it was due to being brewed in the same pot as coffee, or because of the blend of the tea. But it was not what I consider refreshing. The ham and cheese omelette, hash browns, and French toast were all basic. No seasonings, flavorings, or interesting factors. The omelette was fluffy, but that's about it. The redeeming quality of this entire meal was the price. For the amount of food, this was well worth the price

    Berry Crepes

A nice place for brunch. The food is not overly fancy, but it's good quality. Service is prompt and polite. I got the berry crepes, which have fresh berries (yay!) and the sauce isn't overly sweet, it was just right. The crepes themselves had a really good flavor, too.

Cozy, nostalgic, and super inviting. We were seated quickly, and our server took great care of us throughout the meal. We started with fresh orange juice and coffee, which was the perfect way to ease into brunch mode. I ordered a small stack of pancakes with spicy hash browns and bacon, while my husband kept it classic with scrambled eggs and toast. And wow...the food absolutely knocked it out of the park. The hash browns were insanely good. I never realized hash browns could pair so perfectly with pico de gallo, but now I'm convinced. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked just right. This is definitely a spot we'd come back to. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food somehow manages to be even better.

While there is an "in" and an "out" door, it seems that the host stand and cashier station are one and the same, resulting in a bunch of people queuing. Thankfully, one of the hosts/cashiers noticed, asked if I was waiting for a table, and I was promptly seated. It is perhaps a blessing that the menu lists calorie counts, for I would have ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancake without a second thought. Only it is 1,880 calories, and that's before the ice cream upgrade that's still tempting me as I read their menu. I ordered the Blueberry instead. What I liked about these is that they weren't overly sweet, and had a hearty amount of blueberries within. I'd also like to recognize that biting into them, I didn't encounter a spray of blueberry-gut-lava that's burned me when I attempted blueberry pancakes at home. However, while not bad, I found them in no way remarkable. Neither the textures nor flavors were anything to write home about. Rather than a gently crisp exterior and fluffy interior, they were instead similar to something between custard and cake. In terms of the service: I thought it was friendly, polite, and once the order was placed, the food came out in no time. Otherwise, the service felt a little inattentive. For example, after I said I needed just a minute to decide, the server did not stop by in longer than expected. Also, towards the end of the meal, it didn't click that I was to pay the cashier rather than the waiter... a little "D'oh" on my part, but a reminder would have been appropriate and welcome. As for the vibe: there is so much wood, if you dumped the restaurant into the lake, it would float! Adding to the vibe are some lighting fixtures with stained glass, and others are decorative, but mismatched, if not outright missing. Staff wore uniforms reminiscent of those seen in old movies. Final verdict: While I appreciate what Walker Brothers is trying to do, and their prices are reasonable, I do not feel the experience was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit. Okay pancakes, and service that could use some polish are not enough, especially with many fantastic breakfast spots in Chicagoland.
