Leah. Unprofessional as hell. Definitely wears her attitude on her face. My bracelet broke, usually they charge me $20 for repair. This time I go back for a repair, they told me they don't even want to TRY to work on it. You can't TRY? This is a showroom filled with poor quality, overpriced jewelry that is sold by used car salesman who are the lackey of the equivalent of loan sharks. I purchased my jewelry in good faith, thinking that this was an established company. I paid the jewelry off in 3 months so as not to incur high interest, which would TRIPLE the cost of the jewelry. I asked to purchase "insurance." After paying this "insurance" for 2 years, I decided to cancel due to being laid off from work. When I tried to cancel, I was given the run around. I tried to work with her, but she told me I couldn't cancel the plan! Which is OUTRAGEOUS! I told her I was unemployed and did not want to continue paying for an unnecessary expense. I had already paid for the jewelry, IN FULL, and did not see how I was obligated to pay for a "protection" plan. She told me to bring proof of my unemployment, as is she was a mortgage lender or the unemployment development department. Whoever heard of being forced to pay for something as frivolous as a jewelry "protection" plan⁉ Most ppl who speak English in the United States understand the word "protection" to be synonymous with the word insurance, however, Daniel's Jeweler's have taken it upon themselves to re-write the definition of the word. I was informed that I don't have insurance, I have a "protection plan"... let that sink in. The manager, Monica Rodriguez, refused to give me the phone number to the "protection" plan company. She kept giving me the phone number to customer service, which I had already spoken to customer service, and they directed me to her. I asked why she was giving me the customer service number when I specifically asked for the insurance company's number. She stated, "Speak to customer service, and if they say for me to cancel, then I'll do it.". I went on their website and found the insurance company. That company informed me that there's a thing called "protection," which is not the same as "insurance" in their lingo. I was then given the correct number. I caked that number, in which they, too, passed the buck, transferred me multiple times, and eventually, sent me back to Daniel's Jeweler's. NEVER BUT FROM THIS used car salesman jewelry store!! Maybe you just didn't get a good sale person , or maybe you came in not looking to buy. I had very much knew what I was looking for and surprisingly I found it here at Daniels' Jewelers. I had been looking on-line forever for my Fiance wedding band, he was very direct what he wanted, simple and pain and and light. I walked in, of course I was assisted, I asked to see a few rings, found exactly what he wanted and asked for , they even threw in a discount ( I feel bad that I didn't spend nearly anywhere what he spent on my ring). I also found my wedding band that I like for under $1000, the sales lady gave me the item # so when I returned I had the option to put it on lay a way. Okay here's what I didn't like.. I got on-line and found the exact ring the lady said she would give me a deal for on sale for $499 so now my curiosity about my fiance wedding band occurred to me, luckily with the order number it didn't come up on their on-line stock because I would had been livid if I was over charged. BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!!! this company does malicious and spiteful actions if you ask to have your balance updated on credit bureaus, I am in the process of getting a loan and instead of them updating my balance to report correctly they closed my account instead ending my insurance I've had on the jewelry already purchased and reported a satisfactory repayment on a 2 year account I HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE ON. If you need jewelry or to start credit find you another business to setup your revolving credit, their business practices and unethical and malicious, they went as far as blocking my ability to login online as well as sending them an email. The credit department needs classes on consumer rights, this has severely damaged my credit that I have worked hard to keep in good standing. If I could give this location -star I would. The manager Maribel is unprofessional. The way she treated me was not acceptable. I have a great standing account with Daniel's jeweler through synchrony bank, with an excellent payment history. 1. I went there last Friday to get my wedding ring fix that I have purchased 2 years ago along with the insurance. She looked in the computer and said to me "you don't have an insurance." I replied and said are you sure? I have all my documents proving I have insurance". She then looked into the computer and said "oh yes, you do have it". So, while processing my request Maribel stated to help 2 of her stuff that was helping 1 lady. After standing there for 10 mins I flag her and said "excuse me you forgot about me". That is the only way I got her to finished my transactions. Very unprofessional. 2. After finishing the above transaction, I asked Maribel if I can get help to see few jewelry. Again I waited. Because she came back helping those 2 staff that were dealing with one lady (Is it that difficult? You need to have 3 people helping 1 person?) Im a customer to who were just being ignored at that time. 3. After waiting for a while with my 5 yrs old. Maribel gave me her attention (so, I thought) wrong !because she kept having conversations with her stuff that were helping that 1 lady. She would even talk to them in the middle of me talking to her again very unprofessional. 4. I presented my check rebate from synchrony bank with Maribel for the item I wanted to purchase. Again without looking / reading the fine print of the check rebate. She shut me down and said she could not accept it. This is her talking without looking at the check. Inappropriate behavior of a store manager.. At that point I was annoyed and express how I feel. I told her you kept me waiting and you are being so rude. Come to find out that was a lie. A soon as I left this location, I called Long Beach location and I found out that I can have my ring check or clean at any Daniels location. Not just that , the Long Beach location honored my rebate check from synchrony bank. Of course the person who helped me looked and read the fine print of the rebate check ...Something that Maribel (store manager) Did not do. I'm not questioning anyone's credibility however the store manager at this location is plain rude and unprofessional. I wish there was 'No' star option. While searching for wedding bands recently, my fiancée and I walked into this store. A sales representative said "hello" but just continued counting unsold inventory. As we looked around at the displays, another rep was chatting with someone else (not a customer). She did acknowledge us, but did not take any initiative to assist. It wasn't busy inside, but even after a few minutes, no one there tried to engage any further, so we just left. Based on our experience, this store's customer service was very lacking. If they can't focus on potential buyers, how can they do any business? We got the impression that the staff didn't care, and we won't be giving them a chance to prove otherwise. Plenty of other options where you can be treated more attentively. A prompt "What can I help you find?" or "I'll be with you in a few" goes a long way and should be automatic for salespeople. read more

This review is for this location only The store manager Maribel is one of worst managers I have EVER experienced in my 30 years of living. When I first step into the store to get my ring resized she constantly held conversations with other people in the middle of me speaking. Once I came back for my ring I left the store and the ring once again fell off my finger ! I go inside to express my concern and she is rude, dismissive and down right mean. I had a 3 year old with me who had just gotten over the flu so as you can imagine my frustration with a crying child and the managers rude attitude. When I asked for her direct managers name she laughed and said she does not give it out and i can find it on my own.I had to google customer service number! HOWEVER, customer service reached out to me less than 24 hours later and they were AMAZING. understanding, polite, concerned everything Maribel was NOT. Had a bad experience with Daniels in Culver City with manager Amir on Sepulveda, now I had to call this Carson location for a ring fitting because of course I'm not going back to Culver City, and I get this person so rude . She hung up the phone the three times that I called to ask for manager Maribel . Not sure what's up with people that are hired to work for Daniels . It's very upsetting that nobody seems to have good customer service skills. Will definitely not ever buy anything else from them ! First of all, I would like to retract my star. My experience was so bad that it does not even deserve that default star yelp required me to post. I admit the prices are reasonable, but at what cost? Must customer service be sacrificed for a mere $29 discount? And God forbid you should change your mind and try to return it (per the return policy printed on the receipt.) This was my worst customer service experience ever (even compared to mall jewelry store standards.) I felt the staff, especially management was working AGAINST us rather than WITH us. A word of advice for those of you who still choose to shop here....make sure you confirm the return policy with the salesperson and ensure that it is fully and clearly expressed so on the receipt. I went into Daniels looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Mary approached me and took her time showing me several rings. She was friendly and had great customer service! Maribel came along and upgraded me to a 2 carrot ring with a deal I couldn't resist. I felt welcomed and they catered to my needs making sure I was fully satisfied so much that I moved my Daniels Account to their location! They were happy about my decision and Maribel was even congratulating about my credit at such a young age. She encouraged me to keep working hard! Yelp review On Jan 3 I went to get my necklace untangled. Checking in was fine and I was able to pay for them to untangle it. They told me it will be done by 6pm and I left. Later on I came back got my necklace. While walking out of the mall I noticed that myDiamond pendant was missing and not in the bag. I immediately walked back into the store and notified them. They told me that they would have to wait for the jeweler to come back the next day (4th) so they could ask him where it was. So the next day I came back at around 12pm and the jeweler was there and the employee asked did he see a pendant when he untangled the necklace. He was talking low but I heard him say no he did not see the pendant. The employee then comes back to me and says that I would have to wait until the lady who helped ring me up the day prior to come in. So I can back at 2pm and the lady who helped me told me that the jeweler left and I would have to wait until the upcoming Monday so they could look for my pendant. At this point I was upset but I just left and told them thank you. Later on that same day I get a call and they told they found my pendant! I had my sister pick it up and I was able to retrieve it. I have come to this location multiple times prior to this incident but going through this experience was frustrating. Even though they found my necklace Knowing that the jeweler misplaced my pendant makes me nervous to get another piece of jewelry fixed here again! read more

Said I wasn't until issue was fixed, late payment was charged to account while continually contacting them to fix issue , wasn't fixed until months later. was told that the late charge would be waived and was I noticed it wasn't , called to speak to a supervisor and was told that the rep stated they never told me that ,which was a lie . Ask the manager are conversations recorded because then they could see what it was that I was told. 1st day open- After being closed due to the Covid P, me and my fiancee was able to take the engagement ring given to me on 3/28/20 back for repair (a diamond fell out!). Everything was fine and dandy until after we left. My fiancee got a call saying to come back and give more money! He questioned why and got some excuse about a payment even though the bill was not due. He called the Daniel's customer service line to questioned why since he was told once the store reopens they would repair it with no problem. They were Awesome! They waved the payment for the hassle he was given by MARIBEL, but when he called MARIBEL back and told her, she refused to accept it saying they aren't authorized to change anything. Then said so what cha wanna do with the ring? He was furious by this time, called the customer service line again-who called MARIBEL back directly and resolved the problem. He then got a call back 40 min later and the other Daniel's employee calls and says Congratulations! Come to find out they ran his credit! These people are ridiculous! I won't be going there to get his ring. Maybe they should have stayed closed. How can I get that 1star back! read more

Updated version: I paid for insurance for my earrings, and was told that it covers broken or stolen earrings. Well long story short, I had a crack in them, and wanted them fixed. They turned me down and said that I could exchange them but I had to spend an extra $1,000 to do so. What is the point of paying for insurance if you cannot get what you paid for? This could have been a five star review but I had to wait over 15 minutes for them to ring me up for my purchase because of whatever difficulties they were having. Although associate did apologize for the wait, I just could not comprehend the hold up. Anyway we came here to have our wedding rings cleaned and inspected and although very pricey at 185 per ring it was well worth it. It took a little less than a week and they came back more sparkly than ever, I will shop around for cheaper prices next time but if not I will return here because I was satisfied with their cleaning service. read more

Poor service. I asked for engraving on a watch which was purched from their shop. When I returned a few days later, the work was not only upside down, it was gramerically incorrect. The worst part was, they admitted it was incorrect but wanted me to accept the watch with its errors. When I mentioned the possibility of changing out the watch for a similar one, that was completely out of the question. The end result was, polishing out the error "which is still visible" and only getting half of the enscription I paid for with no refund of the missing enscriptions. They made me feel as if I was bothering them when it came to correcting this matter. I had to got back several times to check if it was done. I bought what I thought was a set of gold diamond hoop earings from the Thousand Oaks store for Christmas. She went to put them on and the clasps broke. Not being near the Thousand Oaks store I took them to another jewlery store for repair. I was told they could not repair them because it was not gold and not diamonds but cheap crushed rhinestones. I took them back to the Thousand Oaks store and was told that since I had not purchased the extra warranty they would not fix them. If I wanted to replace them the clerk told me it be more than $600.00. Really. What a rip. Why would I purchase a warranty if what you sell is not crap. This place is horrible. I use to buy my earrings and my daughters earrings here all the time but I will never give this place money ever again. I had a problem with the manager Maribel. Several occasions she gave my personal information to someone that was not on my account. When I called and complained she decided that it was okay to argue with me..I escalated my complaint to her regional manager. I have never been late on a payment and I always pay my accounts off early. After I made a complaint about Maribel all of a sudden my last 2 payments did not post to my account. I am now late on my bill. I called with the dates the payment was made and now all of a sudden they can locate them. That's $120 gone. And when I asked them to investigate they try and pin it on me. This place is fraudulent and I have lost all respect for this company. You know what makes matters worse today to cover it up the missing money they offered me a gift card to spend more money at their store. This is a joke!!!! Worst experience of my life. I got billed for two rings that i never took home! i only filled out a credit application never signed for a ring!!! specially two???!! I assisted the fire in Northern CA and came back home to a bill. When i went to the store the sales rep that helped me hid! the store manager said she could not do anything about it and kept pressuring me to make a payment for a ring i never agreed to. I totally agree with the other person. I went to Daniels all the time because of the customer service but I never wanted to return anything until now and i now know what they are about. They obviously want to take your money but when you want to return something they careless. The manager was rude and did not care to help. They sold me earring backs that make my ears infected. I tried to upgrade my earrings and traded my old ones. When I changed my mind before even getting the new ones I went back to the store to get refunded the manager said I couldn't and she "shipped my earrings overseas."
