What a banger. Saw…read moreit on a list of top bakeries in the world so, naturally, I had to pop in. The wait was 5-7 minutes so it wasn't too bad. Cashier mentioned sometimes it was up to 30 minutes due to uptick in popularity. The mango croissant was unlike I ever tasted in life. I had to go back and ask how was each layer so flakey. The owner said they import their butter from New Zealand. Didn't know New Zealand had butter like that.

A nice bonus is that if you order six or more pastries, the order becomes tax-free, which is great if you want to try a variety of items. We tried the "Almond Croissant", "Pistachio Croissant", "Crème Brûlée Croissant", "Honey Cake", "Lychee Raspberry Tart", and "Cheesecake. "My favourite was definitely the Lychee Raspberry Tart; it was fruity, creamy, and very balanced. The Honey Cake was my second favorite, although I personally would have preferred it plain without the mango passion cream on top. The Crème Brûlée Croissant was a bit too sweet for my taste, while the Almond Croissant and Pistachio Croissant were good but more simple. The Cheesecake had a nice creamy cheese layer, though the almond cake base was slightly too sweet for me. Overall, it's a great bakery if you enjoy creative pastries and trying different flavours.

First thing that attracted me was the full display of delicious pastries and desserts! This cafe has beautiful decor and seating area. Service was friendly and attentive! We shared a roast pistachio yogurt bowl and a smoked salmon paris-brest. Both very delicious! If you love sour lemonade, they make it in-house with 3 flavours to choose from. I also enjoyed the chocolate thyme bomb! I'll definitely come back to try the cinnamon one next time ;)

We arrived on a Friday morning about 9:30 and the restaurant got considerably more busy shortly after. We were greeted by the sweetest staff member explaining to us the different pastries like the inside out cinnamon bun with a cream cheese center. She was patient and so friendly! We sat to order our breakfast along with some of the pastries for dessert. The smoked salmon Benedict was perfectly cooked and spectacular! Those frites that accompanied them were equally delicious. My friend ordered the croissant sandwich with salmon, cream cheese, and cranberries. For dessert we had the coconut cream tart which reminded me of a coconut cream pie elevated to a decadent tart. We also had an almond croissant that was so crispy and delicious that I had to order another one to go. My cappuccino was perfectly prepared. The food here is amazing and the service is equally exceptional. Our server checked on us often and was a delight! I can't say enough about this place that would do it justice. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Toronto.

They have multiple flavours available depending the tine of your visit; but you can order a few days in advance to make sure they have you favorite flavour available. I would like to go back and try Pistachio Cheesecake. The staff are friendly and helpful.

So we ended up getting 1 large blueberry and 1 large salted caramel cheesecake in a jar. There was a good amount of smooth cream cheese and flavor topping but the overall cheesecake is just very basic. Also a bit much for it costs $10.50 each plus tax. That's just it, there's someone who takes your verbal order and puts it in a bag. no other service snd pretty annoying there was a tip option on the pin pad. There is zero ambiance as it's a cash and carry order type of establishment. It is brightly lit though and no odors which is good. Also there's no tables or chairs to sit down so you could sit down to indulge in your simple dessert. Would i go again? Probably yes but it's a very rare once in a while treat.

Patisserie D'Or has been on my bookmarks for YEARS and I just stopped by since I was finally in…read morethis area of Oakville! Honestly, my first impressions of the interior weren't great. It looks really tired and dated, in desperate need of a refresh. Interior is more small town general store as opposed to French patisserie. The refrigerated display was covered in condensation so honestly, it wasn't invited and difficult to see the cakes/tarts that were hidden behind the water droplets. I felt as though this did a HUGE disservice to the baker 'cause this definitely prevents people from being able to properly see the products. Adjacent to the display case, were croissants (chocolate, almond, plain) and pain aux raisin. Clearly some items were in demand because there were less of certain items. Plain Croissant was $4 which, based on the size isn't too bad. "Fancier" croissants were closer to the $5 range. I didn't see any fresh bread, but they had frozen bake-at-home ones in the fridge. Not sure if it was because they were sold out. I got the pain aux raisin and it was pretty good! Not super flakey, a bit more moist, but not dry either. Not super buttery. This was in the early afternoon. And the pain aux raisin was DEFINITELY better than the poor example that I had at Gouter (Etobicoke). That was tiny and not very fresh! Overall, Patisserie D'Or could've been better, but if it's in your neighbourhood, it's probably a bonus.

However, the size was definitely smaller than before. In the past, 1 box can only hold 3 pieces of eclairs and now 4 pieces can fit in. Same price as before. Since I didn't see Monica in the store for a couple times, I asked the lady who served me the whereabout of Monica. That lady told me that Monica and her husband (the French chef) are no longer working there, and she is the new owner now. That's why I noticed a few changes there. The TV was gone and they now have breakfast menu for dine in. New changes are good. Hope they will have more new baking items soon. Unfortunately, since the French chef Mr. Jean-Luc no longer the owner, why they still keep the original website from the old owner. That is misleading.
