I had a bowl with pork belly and chicken. The food at Dank is delicious. Very fresh. The staff is welcoming and does a great job fulfilling orders quickly without interfering with the freshness. The ordering counter was clean and well stocked with items needed for your order.

Dank Burrito is located in the Transfer Co. Food Hall in Downtown Raleigh. Among the other businesses located in the food hall, it has a very eye catching and stand-out space. I was drawn to the neon sign and graffiti designs enveloping the space behind the counter. I was pleasantly surprised at the different options on the menu, but after some consideration I knew I had to go with the pork belly with kimchi. A few minutes after placing my order, the man behind the counter asked if I was the one ordering the pork belly - I said yes, and he instructed me to come closer. He holds up a delicious looking piece of pork belly, asking "that looks pretty good, doesn't it?" It sure did. That gave me a good laugh, and as proud as he was of his craft, I knew I had made the right choice. I received my food, and wow - the paper trays it comes on were barely enough to contain the enormous burrito I was just handed. The burrito was absolutely stuffed and super flavorful. The pork belly had a nice crispiness to it, and the ratio of the fillings were on point. I was getting a perfect bite each time. Each meal includes chips and salsa as well. The chips were seasoned very well, however the small cup of salsa was nowhere near enough for all of the chips. I had ordered extra queso, so it didn't bother me too much, but just take note you may want an extra salsa on the side. This is a great spot! I was stuffed and definitely satisfied after my meal. If you're ever finding yourself near or at Transfer Co. Food Hall, be sure to give them a try.

    Jerk Chicken Bowl

I've eaten here before but guess I never reviewed it. I have to say I was much more impressed this time than previous times. I ordered the jerk chicken bowl. It was a contrast of sweet and spicy with the flavorful chicken and fruity pineapple salsa. Generous portion and served with chips and salsa. Chips were basic with a salty seasoning and salsa was fresh and good but I wish there was more of it.

2nd time at transfer food hall. First tile selecting this spot. Glad I did. Service great and the Buffalo shrimp tacos were fantastic! The slaw had crunch and acidity. The shrimp were perfectly cooked with solid batter. Couldn't ask for much more out of a taco. The pita chips had a seasoned paprika base to it which was a nice addition. Minor critique is the tiny salsa cup was slightly forgettable but didn't take away from the quality of the meal!

I visited with the family and my wife and I had the Jerk Chicken burrito with the seasoned chips and salsa. The meal was ok. The burrito had flavor, but not much of the jerk seasoning came through. The pineapple mango salsa did help a bit with the flavor. I would have liked a stronger jerk flavor and more chicken, but overall it was not bad. The portion size was good. The burrito was large and heavy. The chips had a lot of seasoning on them, but they did not seem to have a lot of flavor. The chips were not oversalted though, which was good. They just needed a stronger flavor, especially since the salt content was low. However, if you dipped the chips into the tomato salsa on the side, that helped the flavor a lot. If I stop by again, I'll try the soy, ginger pork burrito to compare or the tacos.

I quite liked this place. It's a burrito place but they can serve them as a bowl (similar to Chipotle) and that's what I went with. The honey truffle buffalo chicken bowl turned out to be a great combo, very flavorful. It is marked as spicy but I didn't find it spicy at all which is a plus for me, and it came with a side of chips and pico, making the price of the bowl ($10 and change after tax) very reasonable. Didn't taste truffle in it though but again, still loved the flavor. The place is located in Transfer Co Food Hall, so lots of seating inside and outside is available, and free street parking is available all day including workdays, something most places in downtown Raleigh lack including Morgan Street Food Hall (no time limit on east side and 2 hour limit on the side closer to downtown).

This is a great place with a nice variety of different taco/bowl/burrito options. Some of their meat options include cheesesteak, jerk chicken, honey chicken, fried shrimp, catch of the day (usually mahi mahi), and carne asada. They also have vegetarian options under "tree hugger" which I thought was a super cute name. In the food hall the art and logo on this food spot definitely sticks out and once you see the menu you get even more intrigued. If you got to try the mac and cheese here which apparently is a random special, I'm jealous because I heard it's great. They also currently have a thanksgiving fried burrito with turkey, stuffing, etc. that I was told was great so I would recommend giving it a shot! I had 3 tacos- the fried shrimp, carne asada, and jerk chicken. They were actually all so flavorful and good that I can't choose the best one, but just know that you can't go wrong! The staff was extremely kind and welcoming as well. The food is satisfying and even if you don't want to get a full meal from here I would recommend trying any taco!

Pork Belly Tacos, Bahn Mi style with a side of rice and Side Rice & Beans

Wow! These tacos were fantastic! I wasn't sure how I'd like the picked veggies, but they went amazingly with the pork. Each bite was savory and juicy, but also somehow tasted refreshing. I got the pork belly tacos, bahn mi style. I highly recommend that option. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors. The rice and beans were also delicious on the side - well made and seasoned nicely.

This was our final stop at the food hall and it was another great one. Covid-19: you can order and pay online. The food hall was empty when I went in to pick up my food. The back patio was packed, so I recommend eating at the small tables on the front side where it was empty. We got the pork belly burrito with banh mi pickled veggies. This burrito was amazing. It had so much pork belly. It was a little bit more of a crispy pork belly (rather than tender/fatty), but it was so good. All of the flavors in this burrito worked great together. I would guess all of their burritos are great. It's definitely worth checking out while you're in the area.

I came to the Transfer company and decided to try this restaurant since I've heard good things about it. They offer a variety of tacos, bowls and burritos. I decided on the catch of the day since it was mahi mahi. When I ordered it I thought the mahi mahi would be grilled since it is a delicate fish but it was fried. It was good but not what expected or preferred. The tacos were served in a soft taco shell and were served with chips and salsa. My order did not take long to be prepared. If I came back I would try another flavor combination.

    California gold burrito... just perfect.
    Anthony N.

Yes, just yes to everything. I finally found a true, legit California-style burrito as this stand inside the Transfer Co. food hall. They use the right kind of tortilla, which is key... it's slightly translucent, glutinous, and large enough to pack a tight, fat burrito. No queso or red sauce on top, which is an affront to all burritos. No shortcuts with supermarket tortillas. Burritos are supposed to be portable food, which this is. The goodness inside consists of carne asada, French fries, cheese, creama, guac and spicy salsa. It's a remarkably non-greasy burrito as well, as those French fries soak up all the goodness.

Burritos are always the go-to! We try to be adventurous, we really do. We came to Transfer Co Food Hall in hopes we would expand our horizons and try new foods. But as soon as you walk in the door there's that big ol bright, Dank Burritos sign showing you all the ingredients you want to see, and it's hard to deny the heart what it desires. Luckily there were a few people in line so it gave us the proper time to digest the drool-worthy menu options. To be clear, this is not a traditional Mexican burrito place. Dank Burritos is like the pot smoking millennial take on munchies in burrito form. They've got buffalo chicken, cheesesteak, pork belly... All the things you know will hurt you but are going to taste amazing in the process. After much debate, I got the buffalo chicken burrito which had a nice, generous amount of well cooked chicken throughout it. There wasn't too much rice which I like, in fact there could've been even less and I'd have liked it better. The cheesiness was consistent and the tortilla held together well. After half I was stuffed, and trying to save room for dessert at Captain Cookie, so I saved the rest for another meal. A little over $8 for 2 good meals? Not bad! The cashier was super funny and worked the crowd well. Our burritos came out just minutes after ordering them with mild salsa as requested, which is not that mild. They also came with red dusted chips which were not our favorite, in fact I would have loved the option to trade those for tots. That would've been the perfect side for my "munchies burrito." Overall, though, worth trying and we'll most likely be back.

    Carne Asada Bowl

Husband loved his Carne Asada Bowl! It sure looked and smelled terrific. He wolfed it down saying everything was "so fresh", and the carne asada was some of the best he'd ever had. Love the nice variety they offer. Looking forward to going back to Transfer Food Hall and trying more!

When we went on a Friday at lunch it wasn't initially too crowded but quickly got busy at 12/12:30. You order at the counter. I grabbed chips and salsa, the El Diablo taco and Steak Al Cabron taco, and a soft drink. In total, I think was around $20. As I mentioned, the place got busy quick so it took a little bit to get our food out to us but no worries because we had our chips and drinks to enjoy. I found the tacos to be amazing and hefty. I am torn about paying $6 for a single taco. That being said, I would pay for these $6 tacos again. Definitely a fun little spot to grab lunch with friends. I would encourage you though to give yourself 1.5 - 2 hours in case you come during a busier time like we did.

I went for a half chicken with the rice, beans, and a side of corn. This also comes with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I also got 3 tacos- chicken, steak, and shrimp. I had everything with flour tortillas. The total for all- which could've fed 2-3 people, was around $45. The quality of the food was AMAZING. The steak and chicken tacos were sooo juicy and good that I've been wanting to go back just to get it again. If you try any taco, get the steak. There is also a salsa bar, and the first greenish/white sauce (cilantro crema?) was so good on everything so don't forget to grab a cup or 2. I later had the chicken with rice, beans, and corn and was extremely satisfied. I probably won't eat at another chicken spot other than this now. In addition to great food and good service- the restaurant is so pretty and modern inside. It was surprisingly empty and had so much seating inside and outside.
