Pizza was ok at best. Don't like that they don't take debit/ credit cards.. Really? In this day and age who doesn't? The staff was nice however the owner is a complete piece of garbage. The way he treats his staff and customers is ridiculous. I'm not sure who he thinks he is talking to people the way he does but boy are you in for a real surprise if you have to deal with him. Don't know if he's like that all the time but the way he treated one of his employees and one of the customers right in front of me was the rudest and most insulting thing I've seen out of a buisness ownerl especially in front of other customers. Only ever had delivery, a few dozen times over the last few yrs. They dont take credit/debit cards. Sometimes with leftover the crust get tough and hard, not under the pizza just the edges. One time called in for delivery they told me they would get our pizza right to us, ok assuming 15-30 minutes, so at an hr I called back and told it was just walking out the door, 20 minutes later we finally get our pizza.(Geneseo is a small town you can circle the town 3 times in 20 minutes, should take maybe 5 minutes), called the next day same girl answer the phone and the call "was dropped" 3 times in a row. read more

We loved going there and getting take out! We only had one problem ever, but was not handled the way I would handle if I was owner. If a pizza is incorrect the next should be free, or that one free. We only ate 2 slices, and ate in, so it was plenty returnable. Now after the change of not excepting credit cards we have not been there even once. Every time we drive by, we say we should stop. But I keep my cash at home where it belongs for safety. Should be one star, but being generous due to how good the pizza is when order is correct. read more

We will not be buying Danny Boy's pizza again. We are over at my gf parents and they ordered carry out. While they were there the noticed that no employees were wearing masks or gloves so her grandpa asked the girl at the cash register if they weren't required to. She said no and he said ok and paid. As they were walking out the owner ran outside and started YELLING at them and asking if they "had a problem" Told them that Corona was a hoax and they needed to stop listening to the news because there is a cure. There are many, many options in this area for some great pizza. I could name off a list of places that I love and the pizzas that make them great. However, Danny Boy's is an oft overlooked favorite. They have the classic Taco Pizza this region of the Midwest is famous for - and it is delicious! The meat is slightly spicy and the blend of cheese on the pizza has the same "squeak" of a good cheese curd. The crust is homemade and the right combination of crunchy, soft, thick, and thin. Huge fan here. The other thing I really like is the sausage for the sausage pizza. It's crumbled, not those weird little balls or slices at other places. It has a great flavor and I can't get enough. Next time I'm going to go REALLY hungry so I can really eat!!!!! read more

I confess to being kind of a food snob. Being new to town I asked a friend what pizza restaurant they would recommend; the place was Danny Boy's out on Route 6 (Main St). Ordered a pizza and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, so fresh tasting with that chewy tender crust. I thought the prices were good and I certainly will be back to try the rest of the menu. Just be aware that they don't accept credit cards but there is an ATM machine there. read more

Ordered take-out from here with a friend of ours -- ordered a bacon ranch pizza, a half-cheese half-pepperoni pizza, and a Danny Dough (cheesy pizza bread with sauce on the side). This is THE BEST OF THE BEST! I live in Wisconsin and if I'm anywhere close to Geneseo, (50 miles), they will freeze a dozen for me to take home. 12 minutes at 400 degrees, it's a smidgeon not quite as good as fresh, but still better than any other pizza out there! I'll admit it, I'm a pizza snob. But I'm from Brooklyn so that explains why. While driving across Illinois I was looking for a local place for dinner. I read the reviews for Danny Boy's and decided to give it a try. First, the place was spotless-even the restrooms were impeccable. The staff was fast and friendly. But more importantly, the pizza was really good. Crispy, chewy crust, tasty sauce with a hint of sweetness, good crumbled sausage and lots of gooey cheese. Haven't been in years, but when last I heard they were still going strong. Greasy pizza = delicious pizza. Teenage staff, so sometimes a bit spacey, but all-in-all great whether dine in or carry out.
