Instead, the employees stood there for more than five minutes talking about how business was, how they slept, what they did over the weekend, melatonin, and other personal topics. After waiting, I finally said, "If you guys are going to keep having a conversation, can we at least order our coffee and get that started?" They looked at me like I had said something unreasonable. One employee, who was sitting at a table near the counter coloring, muttered something under her breath, and they still didn't take our order. Instead, they continued their conversation. At that point, we left. This experience was completely unacceptable. Great customer service starts with acknowledging people when they walk through the door, especially when your shop is nearly empty. Unfortunately, this first impression ensured we won't be back, and I can't recommend this business to others.

Then The Whiz ordered a round for his friends and slid her a quarter. She got their round, and when The Whiz wasn't looking, a man slid her a $20. Listening to their convo, I found out he was The Whiz because he was what's called an 'idiot savant' like Rainman. But he knew sports. If you asked him who the quartback was for XYZ team at the 1964 Superbowl he'd just rattle it off. The 1st baseman on XYZ baseball team in the 1942 World Series. He knew. Sadly, The Whiz died last year. 2000 people were there for his funeral. We loved him. And that's Leamens.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE this Resaturant is owned by a Gouger named Adam Minard. My wife & I were looking forward to our first meal at this restaurant. We eat out every day, but we had never eaten here. My Wife ordered a sandwich, she wanted a little Thousand Island, instead of Mayo or ketchup, and the snotty waitress barked: " FIFTY CENTS ". Then I ordered a Dinner. I asked if they had REAL Butter. The Waitress barked: " NO " so I requested Double Sour Cream, instead of Fake Butter & Sour Cream. Again, the Waitress barked: " FIFTY CENTS " We had already ordered Decaf, & we had planned to have a Sandwich & a Dinner & Dessert & my wife was going to try a cup of soup. Sweet Peas is a nice family restaurant. It is not fancy, but it is not plain either. If you want a nice meal at a $ price this is the place. There is a bar if you are just going for a drink or a snack. The dining room has a fireplace for some atmosphere too. The prices are reasonable and the food is good so it is a good place to go if you don't feel like cooking and the bill will not break the bank. You can't go wrong here. read more
