We visited on a Friday night in early December and, as always, had a great time playing games. This time, we played darts and foosball, though one of the foosball handles was missing its grip, which made it tricky to play. On the drinks side, I tried the Bollicini sparkling wine in a can and really enjoyed it--definitely worth a try!

Waiting for my AirPod maxes to get repaired found this cool little smoking porch in the back of this crazy bar low ceilings pool tables Gallagher machines great service 151 in the afternoon on a Sunday and I think I like this joint picnic tables with horseshoes, welded into them as frames crazy signs all over the outside fences if assholes could fly this place would be an airport. That's a great sign. I love this bar. I would come back here if I lived here.

Danny's a sweet, lovely neighborhood dive bar with lots of character and just really good people. Their bartenders, Kimmy makes drinks at a high blazing speed! Fantastic ambiance. How would I describe Danny's? It's like walking through a portal. You'll never know what kind of a night you'll have. However my point of this yep review is for those who KNOW and love Dannys! During Covid 19, their business shut down. However, they still open up and make drinks to go! And guess what?! Kimmy is still behind the infamous bar and making those meannnn drinks. Check out the "Mexican Mai Tai" and "Blue Baboquivari!" They're best drinks to have while in quarantine. We're drinking this in my back patio and wow, this feels just like as if we're having few strong drinks at Dannys! Kimmy, thanks for letting us bring an amazing piece of Danny's ultra experience with us home! The strong buzz is fantastic. I mean it.

It's a dive for sure. But if that's your thing, you'll love it here. It just has a great vibe! Be aware of the $10 minimum though.

We're there almost every…read moreweek, sometimes twice a week, especially on Saturdays when there's an event, a game on, or something going on in the plaza. That whole St. Philip's area always has a great energy, and UPH is a big part of that. There's usually a crowd, live music or sports on, and it feels like one of those places where you can bring friends from out of town and know it'll be a fun time. Food is consistently solid. The grilled chicken sandwich is my go-to and it's good every time. We both usually get one, and a lot of the time we'll add buffalo wings, which are some of our favorites in Tucson. Good flavor, good texture, and always reliable. If anything, the wings could always use a little more sauce, but they're still one of the better orders on the menu. The only real issue, and it happens pretty often, is the service speed. Everyone there is friendly, but the place always feels understaffed, especially when it's busy. We've had multiple times sitting outside in the Arizona heat where it takes 15-20 minutes just to get water to the table, and you start wondering if you should go up to the bar yourself to get things moving. Once service gets going everything is fine, but getting that first round of attention can take longer than it should for how often this place fills up. Even with that, we keep coming back. The food is consistent, the atmosphere is great, and the plaza has a real sense of community that makes it easy to hang out there for a while. It's one of our go-to spots in Tucson, and it's still somewhere we bring friends when they're visiting. Food 7.5 Ambience 8 Service 7 Price 7 7.4 overall C Great place to spend time, just don't expect everything to happen quickly when it's busy.

And if you've made dinner plans, or just want to have some bar food while watching sports, Union does that too! What I love: Ice-cold, bubbly bottomless mimosas on a pleasant Sunday morning. Burgers (they make a good burger) with basketball on at Sunset. This is a great hangout spot at any time of day, and service has been consistently outstanding. What I also enjoy: The breakfast food sticks to the basics, but is done well. They make surprisingly decent pizzas, if you're in the mood for that. As with everything else in the surrounding plaza, it gets busy and there's often some sort of event out front, usually a market or live music. You should drop by while the weather is still perfect!

In the future, I would probably limit a reservation to 6. My table ordered 1 of everything on the menu. My faves were the coco nido wings (wings with coconut rum glaze), the Stoner fried rice, and the ahi wonton tacos (cucumber, jalapeno, soy ginger, Chubasco aioli, wasabi peas). For my drink, I ordered the Fogcutter (vintage favorite combines a blend of light rum, cognac, gin, orgeat, fresh orange and lemon juice, and is finished with a port float), refreshing and not too sweet. We implemented the 'take 1 and pass left" maneuver to share all the dishes amongst us. We had a great time eating and comparing notes. There were 2 bartenders and 1 dude running food. it's not a place to eat fast. You have to be willing to chill and take in the vibe. Half the people in our party had just arrived to town so it was the perfect, festive yet low key, speakeasy setting for our party. I got a lot of in-law family points picking this place. This was my 2nd here and both times have been super fun. Thank you, Cabali, for a memorable family occasion!

Love the wall of chianti bottles that lead to the bar and love that the staff dress up in casual Prohibition garb. Came here for girl's night and it was everyone's first time even at the restaurant but mine. I'd had dinner a couple times in the restaurant for my birthday and had the cheese wheel fettuccine alfredo. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day
