I came here on a weekday afternoon and there were not many people here. There were several staff casually walking around and after speaking to one of them, I was finally getting helped. He grabbed a couple of bins over to my trunk and told me to unload. A few seconds later, another car drove in and the same worker immediately walked over to help him unload his cans instead. Maybe the guy was a frequent customer but damn, the differential treatment was hella obvious. The worker helped him unload everything and helped him carry everything to the weighing station. It all happened so quick that he even skipped me in line. When I was done unloading, I asked for some help carrying the bins over to the weighing stations (as I saw workers help other people), but I was just told to carry the glass bottle bins myself. Umm sure that would make sense if the other customers small in stature like me too but they were literally men who seemed big enough to not need the help. Regardless, they're nicer if you know Spanish. They're friendlier if you've buddied up with them before. Ironically the workers make it seem like some boy's club catering to their own yet their bosses are Asian. It's too much of a hassle dealing with their behavior that I'd much rather recycle elsewhere next time. read more

The recycling of my bottles are quick and easy as long as you have your items separated by plastic bottles, cans and glass. They pay you by the pound however you really don't get the full recycling value you should be getting per item. Still don't understand why CA charges us $0.05 to $0.10 per item and we aren't able to get our money back with the recycling programs we have here. read more

My neighbors and I had missed a week of recycling pick-up in our neighborhood, so I figured I'd just let it collect for another week then take it elsewhere to get recycled with a little cash in return. Danny's Recycling Center was a sufficient option. The process was quick and fairly easy, though I did need a little bit of instruction since it was my first time here. Luckily there were plenty of staff to help out on a Saturday afternoon. Basically, once you enter, you park in the spaces on the right hand side. Then bring out your recycling and organize your items in large bins (the typical commercial round plastic trash cans) which are provided by staff. Next, they walk the bins to the machine which counts and crushes your recyclables (you can watch it go up the conveyor belt and come out the other side). Afterward, they give you a slip of paper with numbers printed on it, and you take this to the cashier windows across from the machinery where it is exchanged for cash and a receipt to sign (along with a customer copy). It was a very straightforward process. I was paid by weight (per pound) for my aluminum cans, but paid per item for my plastics, probably cuz I had less than 15 bottles. 12/17/25 I gave 5 Stars today. A good recycling day today. Arrived at 11:45 am. No traffic and easy check-in also. My son was with me as usual. We opened the back door to my car and a nice gentleman came and unloaded our 1 container of cans, I container of plastic bottles and 2 containers of wine bottles. All this came to total sum of $14.11 cash. It's my son's petty cash he loves to save. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to redeem their CRV's in Bulk. They shorted me on payment, refused to give me a receipt and lied. I turned in 12 aluminum cans, the man counted out 12 and verified with me. When he went to the counter, he told the cashier "12 cans". She paid me for 4 cans, when I told her she owed me for another 8 she shrugged her shoulders and nodded "no". Knowing I wasn't going to win an argument, I asked for a receipt; she again nodded "no". I said "I need a receipt, please" and locked eyes on her. She punched a few buttons, ripped a receipt off the machine for 4 cans and basically threw it at me. What a racket. read more

Good spot to get your recycling done! Staff is friendly and helps you unload the car. It was my first time, so it was helpful to have folks advise what to do. I had some plastic, glass, and aluminum. Most of it being aluminum. Staff is quick to count and tally up your total and let the cashier staff know. My only input is be sure to double check the receipt...I thought it was a bit weird that the total was less than what I was expecting...on the drive back home I realized that plastic somehow had $0 tied to it. I drove back, and the staff worker had forgot to let the cashier know I had plastic...so be sure to double check! Staff hands you a receipt for you to cash out with the ATM. Every so often I bring in a truckload of plastic bottles and cans. Pre-sorted makes it easier of course. Staff is fast and very helpful. Follow directions from them and they'll take care of you... from parking to supplying bins for the recyclables to helping load and sort into the bins, and directing you to the cashier. The process is simple and straight forward. The hassle-free recycling experience and their hours of operation are the reasons why I keep coming back. Good experience! Came in to recycle a partial bag of aluminum cans. Parked, walked to the far end of an industrial looking shack. To your left, the edge of that shack, has a conveyor belt to the left, weigh scales straight ahead and a cashier area to the right. So I waited maybe 2 minutes, then a worker helped take the bag from me, dumped the cans out onto the conveyor, waited for it to finish moving the cans to the scale, then printed a receipt. I then took that receipt to the cashiers office. They had me print and sign on a receipt. Then directly to the right of the cashier is a ATM looking thing that will give you the money after you scan the barcode on the cashiers receipt. Total time there maybe 10 min. Pretty efficient and relatively clean for a recycle place. Will be back again! Help the environment. Recycle your cans and bottles. Even if you don't come here to get cash back. read more

I try to save up as much of my recyclables as I can before coming here and I suggest everyone do the same! I've been here multiple times to turn in our family's recyclables for a little extra cash. We usually only have soda bottles, soda cans, and plastic water bottles but I've been told that you get more money when you turn in Yakult bottles! There's always parking available but it does get very busy on the weekend if you come in the afternoon, so I try to get here within 1 hour of them opening. The staff is very nice and friendly and will offer to help you especially if you have a lot of bags. Your bags will be emptied into large carts which you then push to the machine. If your bag is smaller, you can just bring your bag to the machine without a cart and a staff member will empty your bag onto the machine for you. Service at the window is nice as well and very quick to print out the voucher. The ATMs are conveniently located right next to the window so you can cash out your voucher right away. read more

I'm not a fan of recycling when there's so much people and looking for parking. I needed to research for a recycling center that will open early in the morning. On Yelp, it stated they open at 7am which was perfect. I got there early around 6:40am. I noticed there was two people already started to recycle so I guess they open early. I was the first in line and the staff helped grabbed my recycles. They gave me a ticket to exchange for cash at the booth. At first, I thought I would had to go to their ATM to scan the barcode, but I guess not at that time. It was always a benefit coming early. In and out quick! read more

One of the few places that still take recycling. Place is very chaotic and the people working there will hustle you to move quick. It's kinda intimidating for a first timer and they can come off as rude and aggressive. However, keep in mind most of these people aren't making much and we should be grateful that a recycling business like this still operates. read more

First time here since the Olyns machine at Safeway Homestead only allows us to recycle $2.50 worth at a time. It was pretty busy and we were not expecting it to be so deafeningly loud (definitely recommend wearing earplugs!) Overwhelming for a newbie to know what to do or where to bring our cans, but a worker told us (we had to shout at each other since the machines are so loud) to put our plastic and glass bottles into a huge garbage can (definitely recommend wearing gloves as well!) We filled up 1 whole garbage basket full of plastic bottles, and had 4 glass bottles into another. The worker drags it on to the giant scale for us, yells the amount to the cashier, the cashier gave us a printed receipt, then we scanned the receipt at the nearby ATM to get our cash. We didn't count how many exact bottles we had, but we got $5.62 for our haul :) read more

No frills at this place. Drive on up, unload your pile and if you have enough cardboard, you may get a good amount of money but if it's less than 250 pounds probably enough to buy a six pack of soda. But it is quick and easy. read more

Would have rated it a 4 until the incident 2 days ago. Ever since I discovered this place, I've been coming every 2 months or so, just plainly for household recycle. The staff were quick and accurate, know what they were doing since most of the time I had everything less than 50 each and they recounted my numbers quickly and accurately. Then I noticed some new faces last time I came. A Vietnamese lady who couldn't even count to 50 correctly. She counted the cans and one fell out of the bag, so naturally she came to 49 while I told her it should be 50 as she dropped one can out. Instead of recounting herself again, she asked me to do the counting while all cans were in the super dirty bins. Even worse, she walked away and sent me to another lady who was not even supervising my count half the time. The whole process was ridiculous and out of control. I hope they train their new staff better in both process and counting. read more

I saw the sign accept glass, so I bring a large boxes of glasses jars and a lot of plastic bottles together, but the stuff lady came to tell me they don't accept glass??? I used to recycle plastic bottles this is my first time trying to recycle glasses and I have no idea why they don't accept glass even they have the sign saying accept glasses??? read more

I'd been here once a long time ago and recently came here to recycle a ton of aluminum cans. As with my previous experience, they have a very efficient operation. I drove into the driveway looking for a parking spot. One of the workers on the forklift directed me to an open spot. Another worker came with big tubs to help me unload my cans. When he saw how much I had--bags that filled the whole bed of my truck--he just walked the bags to the weighing station. After the cans are weighed, the lady who operates the conveyer handed me my ticket of the weight. I walked to the cashier, signed a form and received a voucher. I then scanned it at the ATM, and bam, cash is dispensed. All in all, it took about 15 minutes. I seem to remember they previously charged more per pound than the current $1.65/lb. read more

Man the staff are rude. I mean I don't expect much when I'm just going to recycle some bottles but I definitely don't tolerate an attitude when I'm just asking you a question. Apparently you can't dump water on the ground so I ask them where do I dump it and the dude gave me a hard time and told me to go to the back and find a random bucket. And when I asked him to elaborate what bucket he meant, he got annoyed. I'm probably not coming back here, worth the extra drive to go some place else. read more

I like that this facility will have parking although there are moments where it has been really busy. The workers there are hit or miss, sometimes they'll come over and help, a lot of time you'll just need to grab a bucket for yourself and drag your recycling over to the scales. Parking space always available I'll be there soon to earn little income for my savings I do not make any money but saving close to $500 is good for me so I do not become homeless for overspending. I do not like to work at a department store because I do not have my own house. I'm sick diagnosed parents told me you're sick and won't be able to own the house. A little Income is good for me to survive and thrive. The Vietnamese employees inside the window shield has no bad attitude that is why I keep coming back. Usually each time recycling I earned around $70 to $80. I do not pick up cans, glass like Heineken nor plastics because not sure where the outer side came from, whether it is poorly contaminated nor sometimes there are sometimes someone yellow pee inside a beer bottle. Best to keep my hands cleaned sometimes mild mold can come through my latex gloves. Looking forward to be here most of the time when trying to clean up my side gate. Coming up from the south, I almost missed the entrance driveway... It's a short one. Once in, found some quick parking, and grabbed some garbage cans like a pro. Lots of serious recyclers with trucks of cans all in line. Emptied cans in one, bottles in another; then lugged our booty to the front. After a minute, a friendly Mexican helped us sort out what was worthless and what wasn't. They don't take milk gallon jugs or other non-CA CRV bottles here. Once we had re-sorted our bottles, he weighed them, and also refunded CRV on a dozen Sunny D bottles. Then he loaded our cans in a conveyor belt to weigh our cans, and have is a ticket/receipt for it, which we took to the cashier window. There was like 4-5 people behind the window. Seemed like overkill but whatever. The cashier quickly processed our ticket and gave us a crisp $10 bill and some change. About half and half, cans and bottles. And that was all she wrote. read more

Super easy. Load everything in a huge container and roll it into the processing center where someone will weigh it and give you money. They count cans individually if it's a small amount. No waiting in line like other places. read more
