Looking for lunch and not wanting to travel far, we went to Jockey Silks by recommendation from…read morestaff of the hotel. They have a wonderful cool-exciting venue here. Overall, atmosphere was wonderful. This was a nice bar-restaurant and a nice place to enjoy a meal. There are plenty of TVs here showing all available sports. The booths are big with plenty of seating and there are also couches and large chairs if that's your thing. Of course they have a large bar area which I can only imagine how how much fun it is to be at during various game times. Food... Most of us (3 out of 4) had their burgers which were awesome. large, juicy and just loaded with flavor. They also came with some tasty fries. My wife had the chicken sandwich which was definitely too large but she really enjoyed it. We started with their pretzel appetizer which came with a couple of dipping sauces and was really tasty. The team here worked well together and you could see that they were definitely short-staffed. Even so, our server did a wonderful job and deserved all the kudos she received from us. If we ever make our way back to "The Galt," I would definitely make a return visit here. KUDos to the team at Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar

The atmosphere is great, nice bar, fun derby decorations and looks like it would be a great place to hang out and watch the game or whatever at night. We came during lunch time with our child and they were more than accommodating. The booths are big with plenty of seating, there are couches if you prefer and then the bar area. They DO have a kids menu but it's not actually in the physical menu, you just need to ask. The drinks were great and the burgers (think it was called the double stack) were really really good! I liked the fries as well, though the burger stole the show. The chicken tenders (that we got for our kid) were also really good with a nice moistness and breading. Looking forward to coming here again, maybe on a date night!

Well, I wish I would've taken pictures while I was there because the ones on here don't represent…read moreit very well. Food/Drink: For starters, I got there after the main kitchen closed so they only had fried food. It was pretty late, I didn't even expect them to have any food. I just had fries, and they were good. I didn't have any alcohol, because I no longer drink, but it sounded like unreasonably cheap prices for the most part, at least compared to where I'm from. They also have cans of soda, which is my preferred style. The menu isn't huge but I'd also prefer that over overwhelming. They have plenty for everyone. It is 21+ at all times. Pool: The 7 foot tables were in pretty good shape, definitely better than the average bar table for sure. I didn't get a chance to play on it because others were using it, but they just got a brand new 9 foot table with an awesome, square, huge LED light for the top of it! They also hold tournaments pretty often, so it would be a good place to play for a long time, one day, without having to commit to a league of any sort. Service/Atmosphere: It's small, what some might consider a dive bar, but I think it can be so much more! I say that because the service was phenomenal. The bartender was so sweet and funny and honest and kind. I needed it that night, so I am truly grateful. All of the folks that were in there were also really nice as well, which to me, speaks of how the business is run and the people that they attract to their business. I'll be back if for nothing else than to say hello if I don't have time to play, but only if I'm passing through the town of course, it's a couple hours away from home. P.S. (nothing to do with this review) Yelp, I don't know if you actually read these but for some reason when I put a "." the next letter after the space doesn't capitalize. Not a huge deal, but I like for my reviews to be as grammatically correct as I know how, and having to go back to correct those is just a little tedious. This is the only app that it happens, so I was just curious if anyone else had the problem as well. I'm on an iPhone 14 ProMax if that makes a difference.

Unassuming dive bar. Definitely a place where the locals play pool. Lots of tournament action going…read moreon. They serve food relatively late, if you can stand eating in a cloud of smoke. No one was particularly hostile and no one was very welcoming outside of the bartender. Well bourbons here are $2.50. I told the bartender about my experience at Bar Louis and he laughed saying he'd never be caught dead at chain bar paying $6.50 a drink. Definitely not a place to roll in solo unless you're a pool player. Definitely felt out of place, I felt that way driving through the neighborhood it takes to get here. But it's a cool place if you're in to local dives and you play pool.
