I buy Guns from this location and other items as well. My experiences have Always been great there. They give me the best prices and very nice on top of it! I was there today and purchased another Gun (Never to many) and Heather, Kaytlyn, Kenny, and Oscar All know me now and treat me like a am Famous when I walk in the door! This is a great place to pawn and to shop. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, especially the one that waited on me. I believe her name was Robin. I was buying a diamond ring for Valentine's Day and I got it for at least a thousand dollars less than I would have paid at the mall, and I feel I got a better deal on it than I have ever gotten at a pawn shop before. I don't pawn much but have had occasion to do so about six months ago when times were tight. I must say that compared to other places I have been they made a more than reasonable offer to pawn my items. I have pawned at other shops and some can be rediculous. But if you go to a pawn shop expecting to get what the item is worth retail like most inexperienced pawn customers do, then let me just say, you are an idiot. First of all, retail prices are very high compared to the value of most items, especially jewelry. Not to mention that these places make their money reselling items. They have to buy at a price that leaves room for markup. And this may not apply to jewelry, but some items that have been in pawn for a good while may not get sold for a year...so those items depreciate quite a bit before they even get a chance to sell them. So when you go in there expecting to get the retail value for a laptop that won't be sold for at least three months and possibly much longer, the only thing to be said is that you are an idiot. If you want top dollar that your used item is worth, then put it on eBay or at least Facebook yard sale and sell it yourself! If you need to borrow some quick cash temporarily and get the best PAWN value for your item, then go to Dan's. And just my advice...don't listen to these other morons making reviews that are miffed because they didn't get offered full retail value for an Amethyst pendant in Sterling Silver that FYI probably didn't cost more than $40 bucks brand new. Wake up call Sterling Silver scraps for less than 40 cents a gram and the necklace this moron was referring to probably didn't weigh more than 3 grams with the amethyst included which also fyi are just about the most common gemstone in the entire world and are categorized as semi-precious...and you can buy bags of them for almost nothing from China. A little knowledge goes a long way people. And don't run your mouth insulting someone over something when you have absolutely no clue whatsoever about what you speak. read more

This is every bad stereotype of a pawn shop come to life. A while back, a former girlfriend of mine tracked me down. It turns out we were working in the same building. She flirted with me for a bit, then realized I had married in the years since we had dated. She insisted on getting a gift for my wife, and she gives me an ornate silver and amethyst bracelet for her. Obviously my wife did not want jewelry from an ex girlfriend of mine (which was kinda creepy, to be honest). Deciding to make the most of it, I figured I'd sell it off at a pawn shop. I went here first. It was what you'd expect of a pawn shop, lots of security cameras, guitars and various items of worth on the wall, and a glass case with jewelry at the register in the middle of the building. It seemed oddly empty compared to the size of the building. It's a large place, but had lots of empty room. I had to stand around for a couple of minutes before a clerk would assist me, while I called out for help and waved to the employees, they wouldn't stop whatever it was they were doing in the corner (talking in Spanish while fiddling with some piece of merchandise apparently) to help me. Eventually one walks over and asks me what I want. Now, I didn't expect a whole lot for it, but the guy behind the counter literally offered me a dime for it out of his own pocket because he said sterling silver is totally worthless and amethyst is completely worthless even if it was a large amount of flawless gem grade stone. I told him that was insulting, but I didn't want it and told him the backstory about why I was trying to sell it. The salesclerk then started to tell me I needed to get a girlfriend in addition to my wife, and use the bracelet to woo a girl. I came in there to get a few bucks for a bracelet that was probably $100 or so new, and got advice to cheat on my wife! I walked out of there and never looked back. I would have appreciated at least not having their salesclerks suggest I commit adultery, and at least a non-insulting offer for that bracelet, but being ignored for several minutes while trying to get attention didn't help either. read more

I had been dealing with them for many years and I could not believe it. What a joke!!! I have had good experiences and bad experiences there, both as probably other people that regularly patron the store have. I have gotten good deals there and I've been so mad I could spit fire coming out of there. It's a descent pawn shop, items are over priced for the most part, but that's to be expected because of hagglers like me. They will come off on the price, you just have to ask them what's the least they will take for an item or make them an offer. Mite times than not whoever I am dealing with will accept it. There's some stuff in there that has full retail on it, there's some new stuff like guns and jewelry they have. Their tags will let you know if it is new or pre-owned, the pre-owned stuff is where you get your deals and the longer it's been there the better deal you can get. Anyway, Dan's on Versailles Rd is my go to pawn shop first, if that makes a difference in your decision making. read more

The staff at this location is very rude, are not knowledgeable. The jewelry they offer is of poor quality and is way over priced. It is hard to get a staff member to assist you, then they seem as though you have annoyed them. Dan's has been around for quite a while, they didn't start out this way. When the company first opened it was a pleasant shopping experience, and they had quality items. At this point I think they have focused solely on the pawn aspect. Bought a BRAND NEW Micro Mite revolver from Dan's on Versailles Rd. for My wife for Xmas on 12-16-15. Brought it home and Hid it, Got it out to wrap it up today 12-22-15 and noticed it had a small DEFECT on the frame of the gun on the bottom by the handle grips. Called Dan's and Talked to the Dude who sold me the Gun , supposedly the gun manager, told him about it and ask could I bring it back and swap it out for another one as I did not want to give my wife a gun with a defect in it for Xmas. Was told NO the gun was new and was not like that when I bought it.Although I doubt that he looks over every inch of every gun he puts out on the shelf.. I had pics. of it to send them but he would not give me an email address to send the pics to. I ask if He could just swap it out for another and he could send it back to the factory, again was told NO the gun was new and not like that when I bought it and I would have to contact the factory myself,I guess it damaged itself on the ride home from the store as it has been in its box since I bought it, Was also told that I was told there was no returns unless I BOUGHT THERE INSURANCE FROM THEM AT THE STORE.
