The Manor house was built in 1921 as a guest house, back when Oakland was the place to be in Orange County. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the men who lovingly restored this house and he fave us a tour and told us the history. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice the different pieces of art and statues throughout the property. You can tell a lot of artists have contributed to the look and feel of this hotel, and I really enjoyed walking around and checking everything out. They have two bars, one on the first floor and another one on the top floor. Just keep in mind that the rooftop bar doesn't open until around 3 PM o believe. The outdoor area is also really cool. There are different art pieces and murals representing various artists, so it's actually fun to walk around and take your time looking at everything. This hotel is often rented for weddings and order big events. This hotel is a great place for all type of events. During my last visit, the entire outdoor area was filled with different fitness and wellness activities. They had cold plunges, saunas, massages, fitness activities, and so much more. I think this would be a great place for a staycation, even if you live locally. And if you're visiting the Orlando area, Lake Nona has plenty of restaurants and activities nearby, so you can easily spend the day exploring the area. I would definitely come back and stay here again. It's a different experience from the typical Orlando hotel, especially if you enjoy art, wellness, and having things to do around you.

We had the entire house to ourselves. The room was antique but well maintained. The bathroom was updated and the water was warm with great pressure. The bed was comfortable. We did watch a movie on the small television; and there was an issue with the television, but the host fixed it. The host over the Inn were pleasant and welcoming. They live on-site. They suggested a couple of places in town. The bed and breakfast is located within walking distance of a lot of sights and restaurants. The breakfast was cooked to order as we were the only guests that day. It was delicious, served on-site, and the perfect amount of food. After flipping through photos from over a decade earlier, I realized this was the same location we stayed at over a decade ago. At that time, it had a different owner, and we used a Groupon to cover the costs. We would definitely stay again! It was a great price for the value, cleanliness, and hospitality. Thanks!

From higher end bedding, to sparkling clean and well maintained everything, to the fresh lobby flowers, it all says high end and was much appreciated. Check in took a few minutes of waiting around noon and we were accommodated to an early check in. There was no availability for a room upgrade but the standard one was beautiful regardless. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and very clean with a separate shower and tub. The toiletries were a nice touch since my husband forgot to bring his toothbrush. The soaps, shampoo, body wash and conditioner all seemed like a higher quality with muted, natural scents. The grounds a very pretty, they shared amenities with the JW next door which created a fun day going from their lazy river then back to the Ritz pool for some R&R. The Ritz pool area has complimentary water, fruit, sunscreen, towels floating mats. The pool server was attentive as well. The lobby bar is large with friendly wait staff. I had probably the best charcuterie board I've ever had, featuring really decent gluten free toast in lieu of regular crackers, fresh honey comb, and high quality meats and cheeses. Fruit and electrolyte water was waiting in my room after a long day at the pool, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast buffet was inside Highball&Harvest, which was packed full of options, including gf muffins, toast, and waffles which were made in their kitchen area away from the buffet. There are a lot of amenities that I walked by but didn't utilize, like mountain bikes for their wood path, canoes, pool tables, ping pong, foosball, giant chess, soccer goals and a bunch of kids activities. Here for work, Friday-Tuesday. The hotel itself absolutely gorgeous, but with a smell of mold on the lower levels. For a Ritz I've never experienced this issue maybe an Orlando thing with humidity and HVAC issues in the area. Still something to consider addressing. Checking in I saw them treating guests differently based on the way they were dressed or how they appeared to be paying for said stay. (Let's say the guy next to me was using points to pay vs cash and they made sure to say it loud enough for us nearby to hear) inappropriate to say the least. Day 3 My husband left his key in the room and naturally went to front desk to get a spare, they in turn disabled the other keys we had including mine (without mentioning this to him) This issue will come back to haunt me later, mind you we are here for work and running around between properties and meetings. Elevators REQUIRE keys to get up to your floor. I ordered food to my room, had a few bites and left it to come back to between meetings. The housekeeping threw it all away, I had my button on for no service and somehow I was serviced between 6-7pm while in a meeting. Never in my Mariott/Ritz past stays have I ever faced these types of issues. The property's are normally some of the best. Super disappointing stay as a titanium elite member.

The view overlooking the lake from the hotel is so nice and peaceful especially in the evening. I also took advantage of the amenities and kayaked on the lake, which was fun. Honestly, I would have given this place a 5/5 if it weren't for the giant cockroach I accidentally stepped on in the kitchen on my last night. It was late at night and I ended up having to smother it with dish soap because it was huge. I also found a dead centipede curled up. I think the issue is that the door cracks aren't fully sealed (there was a gap at the bottom of the front door), so it makes it very easy for critter to come in even if they keep the suite clean. Otherwise, I thought the place was very nice.

It's walking distance to everything and they give free breakfast vouchers for Cody's just about 1 block away. Breakfast was also awesome! They have complimentary water, tea, coffee, fruit, and other small snacks in the main area. We stayed in the Mr Charlie's room on the first floor and really enjoyed the set up. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in mount Dora and would not hesitate to stay here again. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Also, we were celebrating an anniversary and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was a very nice treat! Highly recommend this historic Inn to anyone and will be back in the future!
