Prices have shot up while simultaneously removing every convenient offering they had for customers. The only people who shop at hannaford are the people who think Market Baskets are too busy! Some genius level decisions by the "corporate minds", store near the coast? Remove lobster tank. Remove seafood counter. Remove pharmacy! Take away the service at the deli counter! Stop doing thanksgiving dinners! Mark up the same exact McCormick spices by FIVE DOLLARS over market basket. All while having offensive prices and underpaying their staff. But hey! At least the corporate people can strut around stores during their visits like kings and block aisles and ignore customers. If you have any self respect Stop & Shop and Hannaford (merged company) should be avoided. They do not care about their customers experience.

You also better check the sell by date as I have found multiple products on the shelves long after the expiration date. Going to Market Basket now or Shaw's. Example: San Pelegrino water at Market Basket $1.89 San Pelegrino at Hannaford ( same product ) $2.49! Price gouging at it's best. Like I said ok for a quick pick up for something but if you are interested in saving money while shopping over long term Market Basket has the better prices by far.

Plums and grapes have been soft and ready to go bad. The unpacked green peppers sold by the pound, were wrinkled and soft. I don't buy meat there any more. After buying " extra lean" beef and getting it home, only to find fatty pieces hidden under the top layer. For now, I just purchase things like coffee, frozen foods and canned goods, etc and save my money to purchase produce and meats elsewhere. Checkout clerks are friendly but some of the younger baggers will talk your ears off.

Huge selection of prepared food as well as an upstairs cafe / food court which is spacious and clean. I believe as a former customer service worker that a minor inconvenience for the worker is better than a minor inconvenience for the customer/ consumers who is the reason these businesses are able to function. The food was made with hearty, wholesome ingredients -- e.g. roast beef sandwich had thick slab of tangy cheese and succulent roast beef, on what appeared to be home baked bread. The gracious owner invited me to sit for my meal at either an indoor or outdoor table. I chose outdoor and enjoyed it. I will think of this place as a stop for future rides, and will try to arrange to come when Boogalow's is open so I can see what their kitchen does in full operation. The place seems to have a regular local clientele, and I can see why.

There was no Anadama bread and apparently no English. This is poor customer service. If you're going to hire workers who can't speak English, they shouldn't be dealing with customers. It's very frustrating trying to communicate with people that can't understand and act disrespectfully to customers. I emailed the business to express my disappointment and frustration with my experience but have heard nothing back which is a further disappointment. Update: After another attempt at contacting them, this time via FACEBOOK, I heard back immediately and was taken seriously and assured it would be dealt with. She explained that those workers are bakers and aren't required to speak fluent English but will still talk with them about what happened.

I had the chance to stop by their Strawberry Festival last month and it was an enjoyable event…read more Unfortunately given the 1 lane road either way they caused their own traffic jam in/out and ran out of parking in the main lot. My friend and I wound up in the overflow a little after 11am when the event started. I've always seen signs around when I'm driving in the area for other events or goods that they are selling. In the fall they seem especially popular as well for pumpkins and fall activities. The market area is brightly lit. Given the neighborhood, as everyone else has commented expect prices to be at a premium. The samples we tried at the Strawberry Festival were tasty. My favorite was the short cake. They also offered tickets at $1/ticket for some other paid offerings such as their ice cream which I skipped. They had someone dressed up as the Green Monster so that was a fun photo op for the family too. The event had a lot of staff so each station was moving. In fact one of the owners/managers came by seeing a long queue near the entrance by the pasta said we could walk around to the other stations since no one should be waiting in a line (ignore the line to park and get in haha.) I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit but it's an option for local. I've also gone to Wagon Wheel which is smaller for seasonal / market type items.
