My grandmother used to make shepherd's pie that was my favorite treat, and when I ate their shepherd's pie I swear I had flashbacks to her kitchen. It's one of the best treats for a great price, and a must have for any shepherd's pie lovers! The staff are incredibly friendly, and when I asked if they could prepare more Shepherd's pie I was happy to find they cooked up a new batch and I ordered all of them. Their whoopie pies are also a great treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. I must have eaten at least a dozen in the month or so I've been here on Plum island. All I can say is that Plum Island Provisions has been the absolute highlight of my trip, and I would recommend them for all manner of delicious treats!

The self serve chill zone (fountain drinks & freezes) and coffee bar (any size (their cups) is 99 cents plus tax) offers a good selection of several varieties of coffee (I like the Farmhouse Blend and my choice of flavored creamers too). I sometimes grab an iced coffee on hot days. I like the food selections here which includes sandwiches, subs, salads, hot pizza, wings, fresh baked goods, and hot munchies (tornados, hot dogs). It's definitely not a Wawa or Sheetz which have very extensive MTO food offerings (PA customers are very spoiled), but Cumbys food offerings is good enough for here and generally cheaper than the mentioned. This store also carries cold drinks in the cooler, a walk-in beer fridge, small food items, frozen foods, ice cream, gelato, snacks, candy, newspapers, magazines, lottery tickets, smokes, and other miscellaneous items. The clerks here are pretty friendly. Though I don't buy gas at this Cumby's (I already go to the Derry Speedway for gas which has more pumps), the gas prices here are pretty competitive with other gas stations in the Derry area. There are three gas pumps (6 vehicle fueling positions) outside, which also offer pay at the pump for convenience & smart pay (10 cents off per gallon). The onsite access is a bit tricky. Entering the site from NH 102 (East Broadway) from the west or east is no trouble using McAllister Ct (west side) or Franklin St (east side). However, if you want to get back onto NH 102, you must exit to the east and turn right onto Franklin St (2 way) and make a left turn (tricky during heavy traffic) or right turn onto NH 102. Exiting onto McAllister Ct (one way northbound) is right turn out only, away from NH 102, but easier access to Crystal Avenue (NH 28) via a few turns on back side streets. Personally, I find it easier to parallel park on East Broadway (facing west) and run inside Cumbys for my coffee and I'm on my way very quickly with no parking lot woes.

They also have their local partners visit the shop to promote their products. I stopped by recently and Roy Empanadas was offering samples of their empanadas before buying. I sample the Chicken Empanada and Spinach & Cheese Empanada and ended up buying both out of the cooler, priced at $12 for each 2-pack, spending $24 for 4 empanadas to heat up and enjoy at home. I will likely come back to pick up some bolognese sauce from Nonna's Table (Dracut) for my pasta and white chicken chili from Graceland Farm, if available.

For $9 a sandwich I found them both very bland and lacking any sort of condiment / sauce that both were suppose to have. The sandwiches were feeling and weren't bad, it's just not something I would ever crave again. Also, the store is tight.. and during covid times I try to tuck myself away from people. However, one of the men employees at the meat counter was rude as could be. Everywhere I stood, to literally be out of his way- he kept barking at me to "MOVE". No please, no manners.
