Staying in Burlington for a work trip and wanted to check this place out as we don't have any Wegmans back in California. While Wegmans is a supermarket packed with everything you ever wanted in a grocery store, this review is about ready to go food. Huge selection of prepared food as well as an upstairs cafe / food court which is spacious and clean. I really enjoyed the hot breakfast sandwiches and variety of local dairy and coffee, great for easy breakfast before heading out to the office or the airport. Huge grocery store with almost everything you can think of! The prepared food section of this store is vast! There's so many prepared food options to choose from! You can get pizza, salads, sandwiches, Asian food, sushi, etc! The bakery was my favorite! I tried so many different bread loaves and they were all decent! I loved the garlic Tuscan loaf! It had the perfect amount of garlic and was not too overpowering! The bakery staff were super friendly too! They were so kind to cut me a new loaf fresh out of the oven! They have so many prepared fruits as well! They had so many fruits from berries to dragonfruit to pinkglow pineapples! The protein bar section is also amazing! So many to choose from! The store is pretty quiet in the morning when I go but there are not many options at 7/8am. I noticed that they are more stocked up around 10am ish. Huge supermarket, ample parking & open super early starting at 6AM and stays open late into the evening too. Expansive bakery and produce sections. Prepared food is generally fresh. On busy weekends there's always someone making salads, sushi, sandwiches or poke bowls in bulk, but it can be pricey. Noticed they offer food samples on the weekends which is cool! Checkout is also pretty fast without a long wait, even during busy weekends I haven't been met with a lot of congestion getting out. Since being turned off by the arrogance , rudeness and ELITIST PROFILING of the fools in customer service at Whole Foods Woburn,( read my review) I refuse to go anywhere anywhere else for full spectrum daily and eclectic grocery selection. Wegmans treats everyone with kindness and respect. They even had a translator available for my guests from mexico. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll find it. Wegmans has Whole Foods eclipsed in every aspect,customer service,house brand selection, pricing and civility. Remember ever getting any of that at WF? If you are planning to use their seating area to get work done, think again!!! This location has a massive seating area with tons of seats upstairs and more downstairs. My mom and I visited this location on a Friday night to get some work done in their seating area. We were upstairs. An older manager who clearly hates her job told us that the room we were in upstairs closed at 9:30. Mind you, the store is open until midnight. Okay, weird, but no problem. We moved to another location. Well, they close the entire upstairs at 10:00. We moved downstairs to the small seating area by the main entrance. The same old woman manager continued walking by and giving us dirty looks as if we were doing something wrong by simply using a chair and table in their seating area. She then told us that all seating areas close at 11:30. Where are these made up closing times of seating areas coming from?? The store is open until midnight so why do the tables and chairs "close" at 9:30, 10:00, and 11:30?!?! If these seating areas actually close at these times, signs should be hung with closing times in the areas to warn customers. It's extremely bothersome to begin work and then be interrupted and asked to move three times! The same old woman manager asked my mom if the carriage next to her filled with all of her belongings was hers. Seriously?! At 11:30, I was kicked out of the seating area (for the third time that night) and stood at the coffee counter to finish up what I was working on on my computer. I was then stared at by the woman at the self checkout, the people at the service desk, and the same grumpy old woman manager. At 11:30, my mom did some of her shopping. I walked with her to do this and we were FOLLOWED AROUND THE STORE BY THE GRUMPY OLD WOMAN MANAGER. Moral of the story -- if you have work to get done, do NOT use this store's seating area. You will be interrupted tons of times by a rude, grouchy manger who hates her job and then stared at in the most uncomfortable way even though there are tons of seats and tables supposedly for you to use! Hear me out. Wegmans is not as expensive as Whole Foods and maybe classier than Walmart... right? I think that's a decent assessment. This particular Wegmans located in a nice shopping plaza, has clean interiors, covered private parking, escalators, nice outdoor hang out spot with furnace, tables and chairs... inside there's quality hot cooked food, and even good customer service. But what I really like is the affordable flower bouquets. I brought home two separate bouquets from Wegmans, separated them into two vases, practiced my ribbon making and flower arrangement skills, and you'll see the beauty that is DIY (all for less than $20 each)! 10/10 would recommend read more

I'm staying in the area & had the pleasure of shopping this Wegmans twice today. It's bustling with happy shoppers, attentive staff and chock full of appealing prepared foods, awesome seafoods, a gorgeous bakery and every imaginable item a discerning shopper could think of. I needed to find a healthy, appealing snack for a friend in the hospital and their tuna salad for $10 was a big hit! My friend hadn't eaten since surgery but this sandwich did the trick. I'm hyper critical about grocery stores and was sad to see Wegmans Natick close but Wegmans Burlington is now probably the nicest grocery store I've been to. I will definitely be back! read more

Look. I'm from CA and we don't have these back home. This place is like the St. Peter's Basilica of grocery stores. It's got a food court, a Costco, a deli, a bakery, a fish shop and a BevMo all wrapped into one and the place is HUGE. You could probably slap on that FitBit, hit each aisle once and get your 10K in. Huge. I was overwhelmed but in the best way. I meant to stop in to Wegman's for one or two things. Two hours later I was standing in line ready to check out. The cashier was fantastic. Someone please give Victoria a raise, more time off and/or make her a regional trainer. I am whatever the opposite of spoiled is when I shop at my local go-to market. It seems like the baggers have no clue how to properly bag groceries. * Salad greens and eggs wind up at the bottom of a bag topped with heavy items. I bring insulated bags, tell the bagger to put cold things in those bags and they do the opposite. * When they finish filling the insulated bags, I've not had one bagger zip the bag to keep the cold in the bag. * They overfill bags with all the heavy things so they are so weighted down that I cannot lift them. * I will put four, five, six bags (i. e., more bags that I need for my purchase) on the conveyor and they seem to get pleasure from loading as much stuff into as few bags as possible, please with putting empty bags back in my cart. * The worst is when they put raw meat in bags next to things that are not to be cooked. I don't want raw pork or beef in the same bag with my strawberries. Just gross. I have said something on multiple occasions to the baggers in question. I have complained to managers and nothing changes. I wind up in the parking lot re-bagging things. * * * Back to Wegman's. Victoria asked me if I wanted the bags I gave her loaded heavy or light. Wait, what? I am not used to such questions! It was 95º or something yesterday and I had a longish drive home, so I made sure to ask her to put the prepared foods, dairy, etc. in an insulated bag, which she did. For all of the cold things. She even Tetris-ed everything so the eggs were safely cushioned on top. And she zipped the bag! She used _all_ of the bags I gave her, so they were all pretty balanced.. My strawberries, grapes and other delicate things were put _on top_ of the heavier potatoes and bananas. She said she used to work at the market chain where I typically shop. When she worked there, baggers were trained, but no more. I made a point of stopping in to the manager's office (his name started with a C, I think . . Colton or Connor maybe) to tell him how impressed I was with her. He too was lovely! On top of everything else Victoria was charming, unlike other cashiers at other stores that are sullen. @wegmans, you have such great employees here! I think I will do more shopping here (despite the $267.00 bill and some serious travel time :D) if more of your employees are like Victoria and Colton/Connor. read more

Non disabled staff come out of their handicap stall all the time and when brought to managers attention they say WITH ATTITUDE staff can use whatever stall is open. My disabled child cannot use whatever stall is open. The sign in the stall says disabled or family. I filed a complaint through their complaints department in writing online and I didn't even get a response. I'm so done with them. Won't be shopping there again. So disappointing! I'll save some money as a result because their pricing is much higher than other grocery stores. read more

I have been a loyal shopper at the Burlington, Mass Wegmans since they opened up their store. I loved their produce department because they had reliably wide selection of fresh high quality produce. For example, if I bought a container of strawberries, you didn't get a bunch of moldy rotten berries hidden in the middle like I would expect at other stores. Same with a bag of apples or potatoes, etc... I also didn't have to be concerned with expired or short-dated perishables in the refrigerated sections for things like yogurt. The fact is that I'm willing to drive way out of my way to make that special trip because it makes shopping so much more convenient when you can just grab and go with confidence. Unfortunately, things have gone way downhill. The store has gotten way too crowded to shop. It's a big store, and it's frustrating to navigate. There's no centralized location for items. Like for example, why is olive oil stored in an entirely separate isle from vegetable oil or canola oil... The cheese and yogurt section is a confusing mess because you have this refrigerator island that's a total wildcard. Lately, the produce is disgusting. A bag of grapes that looked fine on the outside had way too many moldy grapes. Same with a bag of butter potatoes that I bought for Thanksgiving. I worked the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and didn't have time to return it, so my mother went in my stead. I was also finding opened packages of dry goods on the shelves. I am so irreparably disappointed such that I don't see myself going back in the future. read more

Service is not that good and the whole experience is tough because you feel rushed and stressed. The staff, with a few exceptions, is not helpful. Also, keep in mind that any service oriented food areas such as the butcher or cheese departments shut down an hour before closing. Best supermarket but not perfect. We like fresh fish and always ask if fish we want are "fresh" in terms of delivered that morning or day before. Depending who you ask in fish dept you get honest replies or lies. Then there is deli counter - We go early and while at deli counter the guy bringing rolls and bread ALWAYS SLAMS THE TRAYS VERY LOUD as he puts bread or rolls in place I mean SUPER LOUD! How he does not lose hearing is beyond me . Management sometimes nearby and does NOTHING to stop the slamming of bread trays! If I could give this a zero I would have. I ordered over 200.00 worth of food. I've used them many times. But on July 9 2023 I ordered a small fresh fruit salad. It wasn't in the usual container that comes sealed. This was a black container with a clear top with one piece of tape. She said the small salad was unavailable and bumped me up to the 25 dollar size. She was a miserable person. So as I'm unpacking the bags I took out the large size of blackberries and saw immediately that they were covered in mold. This is the kicker. They filled the 25 dollar carton with rotten fruit. It wasn't moldy but you can see in the photo that the strawberry is brown in the center. The cantaloupe was so rotten they smelled like rotten meat. I suspect this carton was filled up with stuff taken from the garbage. What ever her problem is, they need to get rid of her because she is a liability to this store. It is outrageous!! The price of groceries are way too expensive to allow this. read more

We wanted a less expensive take out meal to cook at home within 5 miles of Bedford, MA. Wegmans was the best. Cheaper than restaurants, the variety of choices of meats and vegetables was impressive. Meals we found included chicken parmesan, cod and halibut, steak, and a large number of Asian dishes. Just pop in the oven for 24 minutes in a contrainer provided. Stop and Shop has a dismal wing bar and very little variety of other choices; their soup container is inoperative with no idea of repair soon. Whole Food choices were $10, but few and the serving sizes were very small - too small for a normal male (they have reduced the size of the portions in their take out dishes from years past). They close their prepared foods by 7pm on the day of our visit, so soups and other choices were already removed. read more

Pharmacy is horrible. Last month out of stock for one of my scripts so I had to come back the next day for one of them. This month, as I am here right now, they won't fill one of them because it is one day before the month. So they will fill one and make me come back tomorrow for the other. Huge inconvenience. Wegmans, a New York staple grocer, is a great place to shop for groceries to stack the pantry and has a wonderful assortment products for immediate consumption as well. I really enjoy walking through the specialty departments of Wegmans: meat, seafood, bakery, etc. They always have a great variety of delicious, fresh options. We are always super pleased with the assortment of fruit, both pre-washed + cut and fruit for preparation. Having the alcoholic beverage section is also very convenient when you need a one stop shop. unlike some grocery stores, there are always plenty of checkouts open here as well. One thing that isn't as convenient/easy as shopping other grocery stores is ordering a special design cake. I recently was tasked with getting a birthday cake from Wegmans but it needed to be carrot cake instead of chocolate/vanilla/gold cake. You have to make the order with the catering team, instead of directly with the bakery team and apparently there are all kinds of "rules "about what they will or will not do for decorating a carrot cake. In fact, I was told that they couldn't put colored, scalloped icing around the edges because it was a carrot cake. I was never asked if swapping out the cream cheese frosting was an option, only shut down when I ask for customizations. I also found out through the process that carrot cake only comes in one size: 8 inch round. after I asked them to break the rules of a carrot cake, not adding the candy carrots to the top nor adding nuts to the outside, I finally ended up with a cream cheese frosting cake with scalloped edges. I thought it was quite funny after the difficulty getting there. I added some sprinkles and a cake topper and it was perfect + absolutely delicious. I'll order again, but now I know a few things to say differently to work through their system. read more

Quality of the food is fantastic and choices are second to none. These are the reasons to come to this or any other Wegmans supermarket. You ask; why do you give 2 stars than? That is a fantastic question and here is the simple answer. FRONT END DISASTER!! Baggers are rude and don't care you have a few hundred dollars of products. Wets//frozen tossed into bags with dry boxes. Eggs are treated as if they are wrapped in Teflon. Prepared chicken placed in a bag UPSIDE DOWN. Leaked all over the car, jacket, house. Utter mess. This is hardly the first time we have had issues with bagging regardless of it being self checkout or cashier servicing. Was kind of surprised: I've never seen so many different types of fish at Wegmans (bluefish, black bass...), including, surprise, surprise, soft-shell crabs!!! The only thing was they were labeled as "fresh", and when you look at them closely you realize they had already been cleaned (faces cut off, gills removed). Which is pretty lame, people. It takes almost no effort to clean them, so get them live to ensure freshness (when cold, they don't really move). Watch a YouTube video if you don't know how (that's how I learned). I just had the most horrible experience at the customer service with Beth. I greeted her with a smile and a hello how are you and she totally ignored me. Didn't acknowledge me once no eye contact very dry, standoffish. And once a transaction was over, I proceeded to make eye contact with her and I told her have a great day. Totally disregarded me again. This is unfortunate after this shopping experience. I don't think I would be returning to Wegmans. I always find everything I need here including new products I have never seen, not even in Whole Foods! And some of the prices are great. I am gluten free and like to eat vegan sometimes, and the sections for these are huge!! They have so many varieties and different brands that fit my dietary needs. Also love that they have a bulk section so I can get nuts for cheaper than in the actual aisle. I have their rewards card but I've never seen any major discounts off of it. The hot & cold food bar has excellent section and they do have vegan and gluten free options as well as ordering pizzas and sandwiches at the to go couParking is convenient but very crowded on weekends so be prepared to park far away (it's good for rainy days though). Maybe I will shop here more often!! Shoutout to the SUPER friendly employees who went out of their way to see if I needed any help. From the covered parking, to contactless grocery pick-up, to the beautiful interior and wide selection in the store, this Wegmans location has me swooning over a grocery store like only a stay-at-home mom would. I usually order on the app or Instacart and pick up, but the in-person shopping experience is also quite tolerable. I don't shop or pick up during peak hours but I never have an issue finding parking, or a spot in the pick-up area. Slightly better experience here than the Medford store where the parking lot is treacherous and the puck-up area and tiny and in a high traffic zone. read more

What in the *rubs eyes*......WHAT. IN THE. SAMHELL! My parents got all excited when they would travel an hour to a Wegmans further down the east coast years back and I never really got what was so special about it. I'm now a total convert and would like to apologize indirectly to them for never trusting their judgement about what makes this place so special. I can't think of a single grocery store in all of America that also had built a double decker parking garage specifically for food shopping so kudos to them for breaking new ground there. This place is a castle....no wait, a FORTRESS of deliciousness as you decend upon the hill and the spire in the right hand corner of the building glistens, beckoning it to you. I've only been twice so far and I'm simply overwhelmed by the selection of well......everything. Thankfully, I have only ever ventured in after 9 PM. I know this isn't ideal or even possible for everyone but if you want a pro tip, this is certainly it. I'm sure it's a nuthouse at 2 PM on a Sunday and I'll be staying far, far away at that time. The food court to the right when you walk in has at least 10 food stalls, anything from pizza to sushi made fresh in house. I actually took the wife here on a "date" and she loved the sentiment while enjoying some decent sushi rolls (kelp and brown rice, anyone)? Going into this area alone is an adventure and one doesn't even need to do any real grocery shopping to enjoy a great part of Wegmans. We sat upstairs in a lounge area with a fireplace and TV. They also have a separate room with a kids romper room, booths in another area and small tables that align the second level. You can see it in one of the pictures I posted. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but still am at the amount of organic offerings throughout the store. They even have their own line of organic milk which is nice to see, at a decent price of only $3 for a half gallon. Kudos to also putting milk and eggs up front in the store so people don't have to lug to the back of the football sized warehouse to get some staples if that is all that is needed. You'll be wary and your feet will be sore when you finally get to the last aisle only to discover one of the best beer and wine selections you've ever seen in a bodega. This review could have been endless going over aisle after aisle and what you'll discover. Pre made cheese plates? Check. Essential oils like lavender that got the wifey excited because she found another place that can help her make homemade bug spray? Check. Charcuterie in the deli section? You betcha.
