Very poor quality stylists. They charge high quality barbershop prices, offer drinks, a barbershop setting and atmosphere, but worse than sport clips quality haircut and styles. Their staff comes across untrained, late for appointments, and do not know how to style mens hair. This has become a trend in the area unfortunately. I went on their website to sign up for a haircut. I went ahead and put in the credit card information and paid for the appointment online. When I get to the haircut location here at dapper I am told that I cannot get this haircut even though clearly online it said exactly what the haircut is what the price is. When showing us them information on their end, even on their website in the store, their prices are completely different. When in the store talking to them to talk about and show them the price that I was given online on their website, they said that is something they cannot do. I selected "THE CLASSIC SKIN FADE" haircut service. Before the haircut, I asked the guy who gave me the haircut about the type of haircut service and he confirmed saying "you want a classic skin fade". This service included shampoo/hair wash and 5-minute neck/ shoulder massage. No hair wash was done and absolutely no massage was given. After paying at checkout (including a tip!), I enquired why no massage was given and if this is indeed a "classic skin fade" service. The girl at the checkout counter said it is not. Another hair stylist/barber (a lady) who was at the checkout counter said the guy gave me a regular haircut (no skin fade) and guy (male) barbers don't do hair wash or massages. The girl at the checkout said she will speak to somebody and get me a refund (I think she meant she will charge for a regular haircut). Hopefully, I get a refund. This was my first visit to Dapper 5 at Prosper, TX and perhaps my last unless someone from there (the manager/owner) calls me and tries to understand what went wrong on their side. $20 haircut in Great Clips is way way better as they give me a fantastic low skin fade. Lot of times, I use a $10.99 coupon at Great Clips for a similar haircut for which I ended up paying $60 (plus tips!!!) at Dapper 5, Prosper, TX. Stay away from Dapper 5, guys!!! Super disappointing first experience. Barber did an absolute hack job that was nowhere in the ballpark of the picture I asked for, and then got unprofessionally agitated and foul-mouthed over me expressing dissatisfaction. Then he straight up LIED to the receptionist about what was done. If the stylist could not do the cut, he should have been upfront about it and saved the grief of two months of now needing to wear a ballcap while growing the hair back and needing to go somewhere else to straighten the awful cut out. From check in to check out, my experience was exceptional. This was my first visit to this barber shop. My barber was Ms Regina. She cut my hair exactly to my request. She was wonderful to make conversation with. We found we had similar interests and a similar life. I felt very comfortable in the establishment. Extremely clean and inviting. I went in for a head shave and face shave and received a total HACK JOB! Mary was my barber and she was extremely unfriendly. Also, she had old previously used towels crumbled up on her counter and hair was everywhere on the counter. I didn't want to set my phone down because it was so disgusting. As far as the head and face shave...the straight razor she used was completely dull and she sliced my face in 2 separate areas. She spent more time applying the "stop-bleeding" lotion on my face than she did actually giving me a shave. I reached out to management about my poor experience and they asked when they could call me. I responded back and said to call me ASAP and still haven't heard a word from them in 24 hrs. It was $125 (before tip) for a head and face shave. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I get head and face shaves every week for the past 10 years and this was the worst experience EVER!
