April 14, 2015 The saga continues...after Gianna blew me off for my 2nd hair straightening, I learned that she lied to me about running late for another client. She actually left the salon because she didn't feel good. Why would she lie to me? I don't get it. The truth would have been much better to understand. But the lying continues... She promised to refund me my money. She said she would credit my credit card that I used and would call me to let me know it had been done. A few days went by and no one called me and no money was credited into my account. When I called them, the receptionist told me that Gianna wasn't able to credit my refund back to the card. Another example of horrible customer service - no one called me to tell me that. And I wonder now if she even tried, since she has a history of lying. I certainly have no trust in anything she says now... Next, the receptionist told me they would send me a check in the mail. I was away on a business trip and when I got back on Saturday, April 11, there was no money in my mailbox. I called on Saturday, and the receptionist told me that I had to come into the store to pick up the check - that Gianna did not want to mail it to me. Again, no one called me to tell me this. I don't know how this place stays in business with this type of poor communication. Today is Tuesday, April 14, and I just went it to pick up my refund. I asked to speak with Gianna, but she let the receptionist deal with this problem, rather than being forthright and speaking with me directly. A real coward. And this is a business owner? Now Gianna is saying that until I take my comments off YELP, she will not give me my refund. So now I am being blackmailed! Why would I take my comments off YELP, before I get my refund??? Seriously, after this kind of treatment Gianna, I promise to write a poor report about your lousy customer service, poor client treatment, and horrendous hair straightening job every day until you give me my refund. Additionally, word of mouth is the best kind of advertising. Therefore, I also promise, to share my experience with every person I know who is looking for a hairdressing salon and bad mouth your salon. I am not a liar. I promise to do this and I promise to delete my comments when I get my full refund just like I told the receptionist on April 4, when she told me that you were actually sick and that is why you cancelled, and that the terms for a refund were to remove my comments. This is not the way to run a business. You give me my $175.00 and once the check clears, I will take my comments off YELP. I know you told your receptionist to lie to me and tell me a client came in late, which is why you wanted to move my appointment, when in fact, you were not feeling well. She also told me why you weren't feeling well too but I will wait to announce that. I don't understand why you are treating me so poorly. What did I ever do to you? So, until you give me my refund, this YELP blog will continue. The straightening job she did 2 weeks ago did nothing for my hair. It is still wavy and thick. I went back in this past weekend to reschedule a "REDO" for today, Tuesday, at 5pm - (that I hope was at no charge) - and they called me at 4:45 to ask me to reschedule my "REDO" of my hair because another client came in late - and they took her, and had to blow off my appointment. She literally called to cancel my REDO 15 minutes before the appointment - and wants me to go in another day for it - which I cannot do, as I am traveling the next 10 days. The hair straightening was $175 + a tip that didn't work, by the way, and their customer service is horrendous. I have been to this salon several times before and was never treated this way. I demand a refund and will never go back to this place again, and will never recommend it to anyone. Actually, will share my experience and have people decide for themself. I am disgusted with the "Good Karma" salon. Complete bullshit. Bad karma to blow off a client 15 minutes before an appointment because it doesn't SUIT you! read more

I love this salon for so many reasons. They have the best customer service, the atmosphere is very classy and welcoming and the stylist are professional and knowledgeable. My stylist is Paige but have been to others when Paige is not available they are all great. I also have my lashes done by Erica she's amazing. read more

This is my 2nd time at dapper and divine and I can't say anything bad about that hair salon, Always such a nice time,great atmosphere,great attitude and excellent stylist. I have hair passed my but and I went to Adam for a hair cut today and he gave me exactly what I was looking for it's very hard to find a stylist you can trust with your hair.I would definitely recommend him he's absolutely excellent at haircuts, and the shampoo assistant victoria gives a fabulous head massage I was about to fall asleep if I could give 100 stars I would. read more

I just recently moved here from NY about a month and a half ago and I was in desperate need of a touch up. My hair was bright blonde on top, my sides were brassy orange and my color underneath was chocolate brown with a few old highlights here and there. Plus on top of that were my over an inch root growth which is grey on top and dark brown on the sides and back. Needless to say it was colorful! I did some research in Yelp and found this salon - Dapper & Divine Hair Studio- with great reviews for Marissa. I drive by after I dropped my boys off at school to see where the place was and how it looked. I went inside and the receptionist was very nice and very helpful. I explained what I was looking to do - not just a touch up but to get my hair to where I want it to be- and she set me up with an appointment with Marissa for the next day. It was also warming to see a fellow beautician who had her hair colored by Marissa and it was the color I was looking for! The next day I went in for my appointment and - I'm sure we have all done this at one time- I brought my "picture" of the hair color I was looking to obtain. I didn't think we would get to it necessarily on the first day but even if she could get the color in the right direction I would be so happy. All I can say is after 3.5 hours of working on my hair - this woman is amazing!!!! She is so talented and listened and worked with me to get to where I wanted to be and more!!! I had my roots redone on Saturday - high lift blond tint. My normal salon is in Chicago, but I brought the formula. I walked in as a golden blond with roots, and walked out with a combination of brass/reddy roots and lavender gray over the rest of my head. Colorist couldn't figure out what went wrong, and neither could her supposedly experienced colleague. Basically, if you are doing a high lift blond color, and you are using 100% natural ingredients - you need to lift with some kind of bleach product. I can't believe colorists didn't know this. Anyhow, to remedy the terrible situation, I went to Gramercy today and they fixed it for me the best they could. Their colorists know the basics that somehow D&D's didn't. Not great to pay twice for the same service, but I'll never go back to D&D again. read more

I have gone to many barbershops but I must say this place is great. I have been to shops where they get you in and out quickly but you never have a chance to relax and enjoy your cut and shave. At Dapper & Divine I always feel so relaxed when I leave. Brad and Ryan on the barbers there and they do great work. I see Brad when I go and he takes his time to always give me a great cut, and he remembers what I do so at not like I am a new customer every time. The hot shaves are great and they always leave me feeling so refreshed at the end. You can even get a royal shave and have a facial in the chair as well. I'm visiting Boca Raton and selected this salon based on prior Yelp reviews. The ladies were very nice and very professional. They were able to get me right in, and offered me a drink as I walked in. I essentially put myself into Jennie's hands and gave her a vague idea of what I wanted... which was more style! My prior haircut was kind of cheap and crappy. Guys, I'm here to tell you that you should not hesitate to pay a tiny bit more (we're talking a difference of $10 bucks) for a styled haircut from a REAL professional. Jennie thinned and textured my hair carefully and gave me a sweet styled cut. She also wanted to make sure that it will keep looking good as it grows out. The whole experience was great. I think this is a really nice place, beautiful setting, while small... When I arrived only one person was taking clients, who was the owner, there was a nice girl shampooing and the receptionist, all very nice. Cute puppy there too, absolutely adorable. My reasoning for 3 stars is more of the pricing, and the fact that I feel I could have gotten the same quality cut from a Hair Cuttery or Great Clips, which I considered going to. My hair looked amazing when I left after it was blow dried; however, the following days as I would wash, dry and straighten it, I noticed that the layers really seem to have no rhyme or reason. Not worth the $85 cut. I was interested in having some color done, from a medium brown to silver - it would need to be stripped a few times. I had priced it out at other places, around the mid to high $200s. I inquired here and was told around $400. Big big difference. Not sure I would spend that on hair. read more

I wish there were additional stars to indicate that this salon is completely awful and horrific. I have Stage 4 cancer. I ordered a Hair Topper so I can try to look somewhat normal. I paid a deposit of $250.00. I had a relapse and was unable to pick up the topper. When I was feeling better, I called the salon, spoke to the owner and told her that I needed to order the hair topper. That was over three months ago, no call back, no refund of deposit. This is a sham salon, very unethical and I would say, run, don't walk. They will not last in Boca Raton the way they operate. 1. The "strongest" keratin treatment that the owner, Gianna, offers ended up washing out in 5-6 shampoos-- even though I bought the shampoo and conditioner that she recommended. 2. She agreed on a price and then charged me an additional $50.00 at check-out despite doing the most slap-dash keratin treatment I've ever had. 3. The owner, Gianna, has the distinction of demonstrating the worst personality of any hair stylist I've ever met (and I travel the country for work so I've met all kinds of odd hair dressers). She spent the entire 1.5 hours telling me that she was jealous that I could carry and give birth to my children as she is required to use a surrogate. She made me unacceptably uncomfortable. She was stereo-typically curt and impolite as she is the "owner". While she put strong chemicals in my hair and yanked on sections of my hair for the long blow-out process, she literally pressured me to tell her that my pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding experiences had all been useless and unimportant. I left feeling sick because she has no idea how beautiful, priceless and enhancing those experiences are for me and my friends/family. 4. My nose and throat would burn and itch when I shook my hair for up to 3 months after her keratin treatment. read more

I have gone to salons in LA, NYC, NJ and this is the best experience I have ever had. I called in randomly and spoke with Mindy who assured me she had the best person for me.
