Overpriced, they don't do their own cleaning - they send it somewhere to be cleaned - so it takes FOREVER for them to clean it. I'll never use them again. Overpaying for subpar performance is unacceptable. read more

I really wish I had read the awful reviews on this place before dropping off my clothes to this place. They should call is Douchey Dan's. Consumers beware! This place is horrid. I dropped off 4 items one day only to come back and pick up 3. They lost a shirt! It's a good thing I kept my slip because when I came back, the guy had two completely new slips that didn't include the item they lost. Therefore, if I hadn't kept it, they would have no reason to look for it or evidence of ever having it! I recieved a phone call several days later to find out they had found my shirt mixed in with another order from another store. OK..... so now they're re-dry cleaning it and would let me know when it would be ready. NO PHONE CALL later, I decided to stop in a couple weeks later to see if it was back yet. Finally, it was in the store I had dropped it off at... 3.5 weeks later. Thinking there would be no charge on the shirt with all the mistakes, she asks for $4.75 for the item. Excuse me? You're actually charging me full price, let alone, AT ALL, for my shirt after all this hassle? She says, "hold on, let me call my boss." I heard her boss yelling through the phone from the waiting area, "IF I LOST A SHIRT I WOULD KNOW IT! TELL HER IF SHE DOESN'T WANNA PAY SHE'S NOT GETTING HER SHIRT BACK!" All I can say is WOW, what awful, awful customer service. Made no attempt to make up for their mistake and clearly don't care about satisfying their customers. Take your dry cleaning elsewhere! P.S. I dropped off my wedding dress in November and called in February wondering why it wasn't done. They first said they couldn't find it and then finally called me back when they found it. Then I picked it up, checked it over and there was a rip in the front. He claims they never saw it, but I think they were trying to give it to me (and wanted me to sign something saying i picked it up) before i noticed it. They took it back to fix it. I come back again to pick it up and there is black fuzz all over it. Now for an $80 expense, this dress should be perfect the first time. Not only did it come back wrong SEVERAL times, they were extremely rude to me. They never refunded me or gave me a credit. Finally I called in April and the owner says several times it's been hanging here for a LONG time with attitude. When I said no one ever called me and I had no idea it was done, she claimed her husband called me a long time ago. Once again VERY rude. I will never go here again and if I could give it less than one star, I would. The husband and wife who own this store are both pills and the wife especially is an absolute nightmare. She's rude and could care less about her customers. She told my dad to never return because he complained about a shirt being returned with a stain! Never go here unless you'd like to be attacked or have things go missing of returned in poor condition. read more

I dropped of a comforter and showed the spots on it and she said it'll take a week and we'll call when it's ready. Two weeks later no call. I go there and there it is done with the spots looking even worse and with short dog hairs all over it. I say the spots are still there. The lady says hang on and walks to the back. Then this guy comes forward and says too bad. I can wash it the machine. I said so can I but it says dry clean only. We go back and forth, he rips up the tag and throws the blanket over the counter and says return it. I will NEVER go there again. Ever. read more

I experienced the rudest service I had ever received from a business. Not only that, but my items came back just as bad if not worse than when I brought them to them. The items only needed to be pressed or steamed since they were received in the mail. The women was pleasant but then called her husband out to give me an estimate but he said he couldn't until he started. I asked him to call me after he did one of the items. I didn't hear back & decided to call to tell them I'd take back & do myself. He abruptly said he'd have them finished the next day & said they're very difficult & quoted in a unrealistic price. I said " no thank you" then he took the price down $1, then another $1 so I agreed. I called a few days later to see if they were finished & he said I should have called to make sure they were done, why did they take my # then? When I picked them up, the owner wasn't there but when we looked at items back at work, they didn't even look like they touched them, a few looked like they pressed them while folded so the folds were even deeper. I will NEVER go there again & I've been spreading the word to friends & coworkers. Apparently they don't need the business. Can't believe they're still in business. I attended a wedding wearing a black dress and while in the buffet line, managed to drop a pork chop with gravy down the front of me. I took the dress to this "cleaner", never realizing I should have examined it upon pick-up. Running late for another event, I removed the "tag" from the dry cleaners, put on the dress and hopped in the car. As I was straightening the skirt, I thought "what is THAT?" There was still gravy all down the front of the dress!! Luckily I had some baby wipes, and the material was expensive enough to be forgiving! Now, if the gravy came off with a wipe, why did it not come off when dry-cleaned? My guess is that's because it never WAS dry-cleaned!!! Apparently I paid a hefty price to have a little pink tag stapled to the garment and placed in a plastic bag. Never again Dapper Dan. read more

I brought in a Blue woolen coat with white toggles on it. I just got it back and now it's a blue woolen coat with bluish gray toggles on it (with little spots of white here and there). These people have no idea what they're doing. Stay as far away as possible. read more

I wish I had read the reviews first on this nightmare place they call a dry cleaner. They SUCK! Took my coat in to be cleaned. When i picked it up, I noticed it hadn't been cleaned what so ever. The clerk as well stated, 'maybe it was passed bye or forgotten' but, she could send it out again. I refused! I never went here before but, I decided after carefully reading the policy of sending a garment back out for re cleaning (which was never done) they had this whole list of red flags of why I shouldn't send it back out. So, I asked for a refund only to be told that I needed to drive to Kellogg Rd where the owners would discuss this with me. Welp, once I get there...I'm told the owners had gone home (yeah, right). I decided to leave a # so that I could be contacted about the non cleaning, & wanting my $ back. Well, the owners wife, Danielle is a TRUE NUT JOB! I had to contact them only to be told, I would have to wait on the Husband whom was out of town...then she began to yell & hung up on me when I asked why I needed to wait on her Husband!? I called her back to ask why she hung up on me & she stated, 'I'm done with this conversation & hung up again!' It's sad to say, if they need money that bad....DAMN! You live & learn how to stay away from GREEDY buisness owners. Can you say, FRAUDS AT IT'S FINEST! Danielle has some serious issues. DON'T DO IT! Arrived with three pairs of my mother's pleated shades in a box in the trunk of my car. As soon as I parked and exited my vehicle an employee opened the front door and instructed me to move my car or it would be towed. Never said hello, never asked if they could help me, never inquired where my business would be directed, just demanded I move my vehicle. Shocked at this embarrassingly poor example of customer service, especially from a long time local business, I mentioned to the employee that they had just lost my business, and as I reentered my vehicle the employee found it necessary to comment back that I had no business there anyway. Apparently Dapper Dan employs mind readers; how else would they be so sure of my business at their location without even allowing me to access the trunk of my car or speaking to me the way any normally​ functioning business would address a customer. I've worked in customer service for years, and today I was in awe of what a truly terrible experience Dapper Dan blatantly offers to their customers and neighbors. I will happily recommend to as many people as I can to direct their business away from this establishment. read more
