    Pepperoni and Mushroom Pizza
    Scott L.

Probably the best pizza I've had in a long time. They state on the menu that it is cooked well done, this does not mean burnt. You can still fold it, it just isn't going to flop around. We had the pepperoni and mushroom, which came out wrong the first time but they apologized and made a new one quickly. Nice ambiance, dimly lit booths with light overhead. Nice place for a beer and a slice to watch the game.

Such a shame we missed happy hour, it ends at 7 pm and offers drinks and food specials. However, this place was packed on a Friday night. We ordered a pie of pizza that had everything in there. We didn't know what to expect but was amazed at the size of it when it came out. It's like everything is supersized and loaded. The pizza was extra cheesy and I love the view of when you pull pizza and the cheese just strings along with it. What a beautiful sight. They had a live band and songs that I actually knew and were able to sing along with. Great vibes, great food. Beer was good price.

Part of my Pilly cheesesteak. I took the picture after I started eating it and then decided to post the review. Great taste!

Great Philly cheesesteak! The bread is home made. Freshly baked. Crispy from outside, great texture inside! The potato fries are freshly fried, the draft beer - a variety of choices. Wonderful service, very polite and helpful staff! The music is nice and not too loud.

One of the messages I've received after posting a 3 star review. There is a reason this bar has negative reviews.

Bartender girl needed help and training!Bouncer was great, trivia guys were great, customers were cool, and waitress was nice. I stood at the bar a solid 6 minutes before I was even greeted. She was doing busy work like clearing napkins , wiping the bar. ..couldn't be bothered. It wasn't very busy either. My friend likes blue kinky and sprite "what's that? Tell me where you see that because I don't have it" EXCUSE ME?! I asked about angry Orchard or anything like that "no, just cider" i was like okay whatever sure . I ordered myself a Manhattan that she needed help from someone else to find the ingredients for. It was weak with only one cherry with too much ice. Took forever to make it and get a beer out of a cooler. She vanished for another solid five minutes then after I saw her pop back out I waved her down to pay her. She thought we were doing a tab even though I was standing there with a stack of $20s out the whole time. For a domestic meh beer, a glass of cider, and "Manhattan" flavored ice it was $25. I had to tell her more cherries. She was nice about that because I was tipping her a lot. I kept an eye on her for a while just watching her tend. Locals and regulars are top priority and she isn't used to much more than slinging beers and shots. Her drinks are over iced, under poured, and over flowed. You also don't mix by jockeying a drink between two glass glasses. Trivia was a blast and the food in and out looked amazing. I'm a drinker and a heavy tipper. However, that's onlyk when I'm treated right by the bartender. They missed out on me dropping a solid $200 tonight with dinner and drinks.

In our quest for a new place to eat we stopped at Darby O'Gills. After ordering too much food we decided to bring home our wings. An order of 20 out of which we ate three, the waitress proceeded to tell us she couldn't give boxes for wings on wing night. So I paid an extra $7 for a box. The food we did eat, the fries were so loaded with grease they were disgusting. The pot stickers were frozen and fried, nasty. My wings included a wing tip. It took 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence and another ten for the waitress to come take our order. Then when we were done I placed all the dirty dishes on the end of the table, the empty cups, the silverware... and waited another 15 minutes for a check. Then 10 minutes for her to come get the card. Needless to say I never got a refill on my soda and the waitress didn't get a tip.

Outstanding buffalo wings. Crispy, great sauce, great blue cheese sauce. Cannot say enough about how top top top these wings are.

Typical bar, typical bar food. Went downhill when the manager left, but definitely a staple of Hyde Park.

I had marked Junior's as a place to go for a meal while planning our Northeast US trip. Don't remember why, assuming I must have read it in a 'best of Poughkeepsie' guide on some webpage. So when we finished our tour of the Vanderbilt mansion around lunchtime, we took the winding path to get here in 20 minutes (located about 5 miles Northeast of downtown Poughkeepsie). The interior was newer, and wasn't too crowded. One waitress/bartender was running front of house and was extremely helpful and friendly. It's a townie bar, where everyone seemed to know each other. Restaurants like these depend on the mercy of delivery, and found out after we ordered that two of our choices (Clams Casino and Buffalo Wings) were not available. Instead, my wife got the Fish & Chips ($20), with me getting the recommended Ribeye Melt ($21). Blue moon was on tap, so got that (way overpriced at $9 for 12 oz). The fish dish promised us 3 beer-battered cod loins, and it delivered. Each piece was large and had been expertly deep fried. The fries were thick and crisp, and the same ramekin of cole slaw was perfect. Even though none of it was homemade, for me, it was one of the best fish fries I've had in a while. My recommended Ribeye sandwich was great as well. I really liked the crunchy and solid ciabatta bread, and the meat and cheese was generous, and tender/melty respectively. The fries were good, expertly prepared, not too greasy. This is the kind of diner I like...where the food comes mostly pre-prepared, but it's clear they have a really good food supplier, and are able to keep the food prices down.

Sal and Pots reminisced about the good old days including the numerous annual "game dinners", legendary for serving 150+ where people were lined up down the block waiting to eat elk, bear, rattlesnake, muskrat, squirrel, skunk, and the like. Alas, those days are over, a victim of COVID and changing tastes. As for me, I've never eaten skunk. Nowadays, I just hang out with one. Enough chit chat. Menu, for a bar, is pretty diverse. "The Skunk" had said the burgers were excellent, so I ordered "the Cowboy" - bbq sauce, bacon, cheese, fried onions ... and crispy fries. "The Skunk" had the rib eye sandwich w a garden salad. We washed everything down with several $3 pints of bud. He raved about his sandwich; my burger was very fresh and perfectly cooked, served on a brioche bun. Fries were also nice and crispy. To top it off, there was Christa, our excellent server / beermonger. Prices reasonable, bathrooms clean, food very excellent, beer is cold - what more do you want in a local bar? Oh, yeah, "Let's go Mets!"
