We are down in Lexington for a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. We came here on a whim from just seeing pictures. We loved the feel of the bar, moody but welcoming. Our "spirit guides" were awesome and so helpful. We keep saying we need to come back sometime this weekend! It's a must try!

First of all, I am a huge fan of Dark Arts and their products they produce. This place is very nice, well decorated and plenty of comfortable seating. The staff was awesome, super friendly and knowledgeable. We booked the Thief From The Barrel Experience and the juice that we got to select from was awesome, I could have spent the entire day trying their whiskey. I think my only complaint would be no one told us the story of Dark Arts. I am a self-proclaimed bourbon nerd and know a bit of their story, but I would have been happy to learn more. We were left alone for the most part to pick our bottle and when the time came, we did not get to thief from the barrel, but one of the staff member's did it. Probably saves them from excessively spilled spirits, but a more personal touch would have put this over the top.

The servers here are so nice I like them so much! U can grab a glass cork and a sticker for free on your way out. We loved the dark star honey and bought a bottle! Did a couple flights. They don't have food or snacks.

We happened to find this place on grand opening day while we were traveling. We love the vibe in here where they provided details on their whiskey and cocktails. I forgot to take photos of our drinks but we got two bottles shown here. If you love whiskey you'll love this place!

Since we were already in the Distillery District, we decided to stop into Dark Arts--and what a cool vibe this place has. The atmosphere is laid-back, stylish, and perfect for just hanging out. We had already been drinking bourbon all day, so we skipped sampling this time, but it was still such a great spot to relax. Watching the bartender craft some really creative cocktails for the table next to us was impressive--it definitely made us want to come back. The staff were kind and gave us the 1 minute spiel. Next time we're in town, we'll make sure to stop in for a drink of our own. If you're in the area, Dark Arts is absolutely worth checking out.

The restaurant is located inside the Elwood hotel but it is unlike the proverbial hotel restaurant. The food was well prepared and excellent. The chicken piccata was moist and lemony. The stir fry was flavorful and hearty. Per the server's recommendation, I added blackened shrimp. The shrimp were huge and cooked to perfection. I also had the blackberry lemonade which was delish. My husband had the mule mocktail, I was not a fan; it tasted just like ginger beer. We ended our meal with key lime pie, which was light and flavorful, not dense like some key lime pies. The service was good, attentive but not annoying. Oh, the bathrooms are beautiful and spotless. There are 2: male, female and unisex with physically challenged combined. Great place for date night or hangout with family or friends. There is live music that was starting as we were leaving.

We held my granddaughter's 4th birthday party here. I've had group meals (brunch, lunch, & dinner). I've had intimate meals with my husband & daughter. Just overall enjoyable experiences! Food options are consistent. Cocktails are delicious. A fave is the Barbie Sundowner. Love their coffee with cute pink dishes. Indoor and outdoor seating options are wonderful. Live music occasionally offered. Highly recommend & we will keep making this a favorite spot for us to enjoy good food & company!!

There's plenty of seating, a super cool laid-back atmosphere, and the kind of crowd that makes you feel like you picked the right place without even trying. Bonus: the UK basketball game was on, the place was packed with fans, and the Cats WON so the energy was immaculate. High fives, cheers, happy strangers everywhere. You love to see it. We had the German Pilsner and the American Light. Both were crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you want in hand while celebrating a UK win. No notes. It's one of those spots where you go for "just a quick drink" and immediately start planning your next visit. We'll definitely be back to try food from Lucy's and hopefully catch a show next time. Great beer, great crowd, great vibes. Go Cats.

We ended up parking on the pay lot, which had limited options other than overnight for about $20... obviously, that is not their fault though. The arcade seemed fun but we weren't able to play since we had no cash/cards. It definitely had a nostalgic vibe. Since we got there early, we were able to secure free seating, but most of the benches were about to fall apart; we moved a few times, eventually to the top of one of the bars which had great views. Drinks were okay, I didn't get to try their food unfortunately since they were slammed. The only thing I didn't like was that we paid for the event, got a wristband, but there were so many ways you could have gotten in without paying anything at all. I'd love to give them another try when there is no event.

This review is pointless I guess. They are closing as of January 1, 2026. Are they closing…read morebecause of the terrible service? Or did I get terrible service because they are closing? I sat at the bar and was ignored for about 15 minutes, even though they looked right at me. Finally one of the bartenders asked if I wanted food or drink, and I said just drinks. "I guess I can do that," he said, and then told me to move over to the other side of the bar to be closer to him (it was right by the door, so I got to experience cold rushes of air the whole time I sat there). Also during my time, a German cockroach skittered across the bar top. I thought maybe the bartender was just sullen, but he was very animated and interactive with the younger couple who came in after me. I had to flag him down for my second drink. Everything seemed like an imposition to him. The drinks were fine and well priced. But the drinks don't matter when the vibe is that bad. I got the check quickly and left.

I ordered the Cuban and the Patty Melt, both with fries. The Cuban was soooo good!! The bread is grilled and crispy, buttery and amazing. The pulled pork and ham were so flavorful and perfect with the melted cheese and pickles. I would 10/10 order this again. The patty melt was also great. They also have my favorite fries (similar to McDonalds style fries). I'm sad they will be closing at the end of the month. A wonderful dinner.
