You walk in and face a bookshelf full of some actually interesting reads in all honesty, behind which lies an incredible space. Great slightly upscale ambiance, cozy and more classical without being stuffy. The seating was very comfortable, interior was well curated and quite clean, even the bathroom was quite nice lol. Was great to sit around, have some drinks and great convo with friends, and even just play some games together. The drinks were amongst the best I've had. Whether it was a classic cocktail, one of their twists, or even the bartenders choice (with your input on preferences). Though they are a bit pricey, they are also strong and imo quite worth it. Still fabulous! Each seasonal cocktail menu has something new and wonderful to try and yet it is so hard to not order the Jane Eyre. Love the space and the vibe. I so appreciate the reservation system so I can book the type of seating that works best for my party on any night and know the space will be available. It is an intimate space so while they are gracious enough to accept walk-ins, their policy on reservations first takes priority. Book in advance or otherwise be prepared to move/go with the flow. The owners and bartenders show skill, professionalism, and humor and sitting at the bar to watch them talk, work, test is essentially a free cocktail class. There were a few other interactions that were also negative when we were "standing in the aisle". After ordering a last drink, it took 30 mins and two requests to get it. Tucked inside an unassuming building on Constitution Street, the journey begins with a wall of historic books and a hidden doorbell. It's a perfect introduction to the atmosphere of discovery inside! We were warmly greeted by Seth, whose creativity is written all over the menu. He immediately treated us to two off-menu cocktails which set the tone for what would become an unforgettable evening. But it was Rusty who completely redefined our expectations. He curated a tasting of Campari and amaro unlike anything I've experienced. From the familiar Fernet to the Appalachian Eda Rhyne, even dabbling in some dessert liqueurs, he guided us through each pour with encyclopedic knowledge and infectious enthusiasm. Our curiosity about Cynar (an artichoke-based amaro) sparked a tasting that grew into a whole evening of exploration. Watching these alchemists at work was pure joy!
