I was told MAYBE 45 days to complete the job of boring the block and installing cam bearings. I thought that was a bit long of a time frame, but since I didn't need it overnight, I went with it. Now it's over 3 months later (90 days plus) and I have received not one call back. I called THEM once, first part of January, and was told PROBABLY by the end of January, because they were busy, funny, when I dropped my block off it didn't look busy, but lo and behold, crickets, nothing but crickets. I'll give them one more week (because of my work schedule) and I'm going to get my stuff and take it to a machine shop that will give updates and a true timeline. A little update here and there works wonders. I certainly hope this isn't the norm for them. My motorhome broke down 700 miles from home on a 2,200 mile trip in Twin Falls Idaho.I had engine…read moreoil all over the engine compartment. Neil adviced me that it was likely the front main seal of the motor(Toyota 22RE).Neil gave me a cost breakdown of the parts/labor and a brief destription of the procedure required.His day was completley booked so I elected to change out all the parts myself on the side of a parts store parking lot. I was unable to torque the crank bolt down to the required 160 ft lbs as the vehicle is an automatic. I drove back to Palmer's Auto and asked if he could help me torque the bolt down. He paused his work and helped me out with no hint of iritation over me basically wasting his time/money. Upon leaving I asked him for a card so I could leave this review.
