I typically love Darling Nails for pedicures. I drive from the NE to this salon. My complaint today is that my pedicures started from $21 to $29 to $31 and now to my surprise $35 without notice. Got there first thing on a Saturday morning. I was the 2nd person there and there was only 1 nail technician. I had to wait 15-20 minutes for the 2nd nail technician to arrive. They were friendly and nice. Prices are not bad, but service isn't the greater either. You get what you pay for. read more

Came in on a Sunday as a Walk in. It was very busy but they were able to get me to a manicurist within 5 minutes. I asked for long, coffin pink & white ombré and that's exactly what I got! I went to another nail salon (I wont mention names) and my nails came out horrible. I drove to darling nails right after and i believe she is the owner fixed the shape the thickness and redid the color within I want to say 35 minutes. This place is awesome. Nail places seem to be the same where ever you go, but the ladies here are really sweet and they do such a good and careful job. Impressed again!! I haven't been in a while but Don did a wonderful job on my nails and was more than happy to do the design I showed him off of my phone. He was friendly and very precise in his work. He asked me to double check his work and let him know if anything needed fixing before he painted my nails (I got a fresh full set). Usually I go to a place down the street for pedicures but their quality seemed to be going downhill so after reading the reviews I thought I would try this place. I walked in and the manicurist in the front asked what I wanted barely looking up from the customer. After saying I just needed a pedicure, she told me they were too busy and to come back later. Very disappointed! Never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. Me and my friend who lives in Bakersfield went here because it was close to her house and even though she didn't have the greatest experience before we thought we would give them another shot... Bad idea! We walk in get seated right away. Then the lady starts doing my nails (full set) she is going insanely fast. There was no one waiting at the moment yet she was speeding through it. I hadn't picked my color yet and when it came time she was rushing me and then upset I didn't want gel nails and laughed and mocked me to her co-worker in English. Saying wow she is isn't getting gels then she said I needed to pay before hand. She said it was because my nails would be wet.. Okay take my card and wait to charge it until the end. She didn't do This to anyone else and I was forced to add the tip before the service was over which was ridiculous. I do have to say she got much nicer when I left a 5 buck tip. Then she goes to paint and when she adds the top coat to on of my nails she completely misses a part and I ask her to fix it and she said you need to be more careful. Excuse me! I didn't even move you missed it. The she doesn't even paint my whole nail and by this point I'm just so annoyed I don't even want to argue with her. My friend was still finishing as she got pedi and mani and more people come in and oh no then they just rush her through. This was not relaxing at all and my nails looked horrible. The edges looked like I had already had them on a week. The only saving grace is I loved the color I chose. I don't understand how this place has any good reviews as were were treated so Rudely and out nails looked like crap. Never will either of us return here. I ended up going back to a nail salon here in Valencia to get them fixed and they couldn't believe I just got them done two days ago. read more

I really admire this place. Their facility is clean and their service is very enjoyable. They women are good at what they do and surprisingly the men are to. The ladies I had tonight did an amazing job tackling my less than ideal cuticles. I went in and had a full set with gelish polish put on my hands and a spa pedicure with artwork. Both came out amazing! While I was there I asked to get my eyebrows waxed and she really took the time to figure out what shape would be flattering on me. There was NO pressure to up sale on anything and they were very kind. We sat and talked about my upcoming wedding and they helped me find shades of polish that would fit the occasion. I've had bad experiences with the Model Nails, but I tried coming in here again after the new owner changed the business name to Darling Nails. I don't regret it! Everyone is very considerate and friendly. I could tell that the girl doing my toes didn't speak English well, but I still appreciate that she attempted to make convo with me. I went in for the first time today and it was pretty good ! I was serviced by the guy that works there (didn't catch his name) and after every thing he did he checked in with me to see if I liked it so far. My mother is a retired nail tech so everything he did was correct. He was very careful with being clean to the point where if he had to cough he'd walk all the way to the back and cough there just to go the extra mile and make sure he didn't get me sick too which I appreciated :). He got out new equipment for me and all the basics, but he did my stilettos with scissors which I've never seen that done before but it worked so I'm not complaining. He inspected my nails for mistakes after every new thing he did. If he made a mistake he would immediately fix it. The only con i see with this place is that he didn't talk much but I didn't mind because I'm shy. But when we did converse he was very polite and complimented me which is always nice :). I only see it bothering people that like to talk to their nail techs. A lot of people were serviced right away which was nice to see, and they all acknowledged a new customer when they came in. All very nice. I want to bring my mom here :) read more
