I've been going here for years....But no more!! Too many times I've gone in there and she's asked me to come back because they are busy and don't have enough technicians. Which is fine. I'm more than happy to do this. But the last few times when I've gone back, I still wait too long. Today she asked me to come back at 3p because they were busy. I made sure she knew it was 2 pedicures at 3p and she said yes. When I came back at 3, they were still busy with new people in chairs. She said appointment at 4? I said no, you said 3. She didn't say much and then I said are you going to be able to get us in? She said can you go somewhere and come back? I said no. That's ridiculous! If you tell someone to come back at a certain time, you don't send them away AGAIN!!! I won't be back! Went down the street to Peace Nails on Rosedale Hwy. They took great care of us!! read more

I was in Bakersfield for a Yelp Elite Event and NEEDED a gel mani. Now, if you've never had a gel mani, maybe you don't understand how embarrassing it would be to go to a Yelp Elite Event with the badly chipped one I was sporting at the time. But, trust me, there was a great NEED. Luckily, I spotted Luxury Nails and Spa across the street from where I was lunching, and gave them a call. The woman on the phone was so friendly, she said to come right over and so that is just what I did. It was a Monday afternoon and I was the only person in the place. This is a bit shocking for me, because in my area it feels like the nail salons are literally ALWAYS busy. In fact, it turned out I was the only person in there for my entire visit! I was greeted warmly by the woman who (I think) had answered my call; soon a nail tech, Tracy, was seated in front of me removing the old and applying the new. But first, she gave me one of the BEST and most thorough manicures I've ever had. She took exquisite care and attention with my nails and cuticles before applying my chosen blush pink color. My only regret is that this place is 800 miles from home. But if and when I'm in Bakersfield again, I'll definitely stop by. read more

I needed a full set of acrylics with a basic solid gel polish color. They were able to seat me and get started as soon as I walked in. Which was surprising since it was a Friday afternoon. When I saw how fast and how Perfect she applied the acrylic I knew this set was going to be a 10/10. She hand filed most of the time which I prefer (she didn't even need to file the acrylic was set perfect! She finished within 1 hour she was fast did amazing work and very sweet. She also used an air filter while using the drill which is extremely clean convenient to not inhale so much chemicals. They offer about 700 colors/dips/gels just show a picture and she will match the color. It was $45 for a full set with gel polish. It was the best nails I have had in years! read more

the first time I ever came her the lady who helped me was so sweet and did amazing on my nails. I went Yesterday for the second time and the man who did my manicure unfortunately did a horrible job. He cut a chunk of skin off while doing my cuticle and when I noticed he sat there and laughed. Multiple times at that. It bled the rest of the appointment and he would take a look at the cut and look back up at me and laugh. My finger nails have been so sore the past couple of days because he cut and filed them so short that my skin became red and irritated. even on the sides of my fingernails. I never complain and I always try to be understanding but I just know I wouldn't want anyone to go through this experience/pain whatsoever ever. read more

My girlfriend scheduled us 2 pedicures for 5:30pm. We both showed up early. Around 5:30 we were sat in the pedicure chairs, my friend's water was way too hot, mine was luke warm. The girl never asked how it was & walked away. About 35 minutes later she comes to start my friend's pedicure... I'm still soaking...we asked about how much longer for mint to start, they just started talking in their language & never really gave an answer. 30 minutes later .. still soaking...15 more minutes (about to walk out), finally someone comes to me (Jenny, owner) & at this point I say that I'm going to pass & go back to my normal salon (Model Nails, Rosedale). My friend was just starting gel portion of hers so the lady says I'll work really fast & get your pedicure done... so I agreed... She rushed through the basic pedicure, barely got off all the previous gel (lot's left behind). For a place that is only taking scheduled appointments, I feel this was way unacceptable! She never asked me what type of pedicure I wanted & completed my whole pedicure by the time my friend finished the full pedicure that started 30 minutes before mine... So the icing on the cake of this whole review is that after I waited over an hour almost to start the pedicure that finished within the same amount of time to my girlfriend finished her pedicure that started over a 1/2 an hour before me, she didn't give me any kind of discount. Then she charged me for the happy pedicure which is actually more than the basic telling me that she gave me whatever that was but its supposed include a 5 minute massage that I did not get. Needless to say I will never be back here again!!! read more

It was my first time here and I was happy with the way my nails came out. I got a manicure and pedicure. I got a gel full set. Jenny is super nice. Highly recommend going to see her! The pedicure was a little painful due to having an ingrown. I didn't get the name of the girl that did my pedicure. The second time I came was for a fill. I didn't make an appointment, I just walked in so I do recommend if you do plan on walking in, go early. read more

Came here for the first time and it did not disappoint. Jenny was able to replicate a design I had showed her on my phone. I liked that throughout the process she kept asking if I was happy and even in the end she reassured me that if I wasn't happy to let her know. Very attentive, very kind, and welcoming service. Wonderful experience! I'll be coming back. First off, they put a liner in the tub which makes you feel much better. The lady who did my toenails (unsure of her name) was so nice! She really paid attention to detail. She got ever bit of previous polish and cuticle off. It was about an hour experience and it was so worth it. They didn't have a lot of nail polish colors to choose from and some did look a little gunky, but other than that, I enjoyed the experience. Soft music played and they had a TV on. Plexi glass if you were getting a manicure. They got my number and I got theirs so I could text them to see if they were open, make reservations, etc. read more

Hi ladies, I have went to this place, because I really like a clients nails and she recommended it. I made a appointment with a lady, but she let this guy do them, I had ask for something specifically, he recommended something else. I didn't like it so I ask him to shape them square. I believe that's what upset him. He was annoyed and I just ask him how much for the service and he said $45 I said ok. I was getting the money and gave him $40 and he yelled at me said $45, said yes, I'm looking for a $5 . I never said I'm not paying, I never said anything but when he said $45 he yelled and I said your rude. Mind you I'm not yelling at him I just said your rude. At this point the lady came and said what happened I just told her he was rude, and he was yelling. I had already paid. I just wanted to leave. The lady was trying to make it right and I told her it's not you. It's him, and he still yelling at me. I said I paid you why are you still yelling. I left in tears. Maybe the ladies are great, but this guy was so rude. read more

The reviews are great for a reason! The younger woman who did my pedi was awesome and gentle. I noticed she was having issues with the polish I chose but she didn't just let it be and leave it runny. We went in and were handed a menu, we picked a service for a pedicure off the menu which was 39$ , when we checked out they charged us each 54$! That's a big jump from 39$ , they said it was on account of Covid . But why hand us menus with old prices... And if its on account of Covid why a price increase of 15$?? Very misleading. My girlfriend went last week and got the guy and he did such a horrible job! The nails aren't the shape she wanted or the color because he refused to abide by what she was asking for. He kept telling her "no I like this better" when it's not his choice whatsoever. The women are always nice and do a great job, but the ladies husband is very bad and makes the mood of the place go down! They should fire him because every review that's on here that's less than 3 stars is because he's a terrible nail technician. If you go I do NOT recommend getting the guy he's terrible. He also always has an attitude. read more

Got a pedicure and when one of the ladies was doing my cuticles she RIPPED the side of cuticle my off TOP from BOTTOM!!! SHE DID NOT CUT SHE TORE IT OFF! I pulled away and yelled owwww that really hurt and she brushed it and then did it TO THE OTHER TOE. I now have an INFECTION in my toe from it!! Had to go to doctors to get antibiotics and pain medicine please be-careful of who does your nails and toes not everyone if trained! read more

There was no customers in the Nail shop when I arrived. Could be a good thing and could be a bad thing I thought to myself. The owner Joan took me and my grandmother in quickly. No joke this was the fastest manicure I have ever had in my life, which made me feel like it could have been a bit longer. The shop was clean. The shop was quiet. It felt welcoming. Price of $25 for a gel manicure seemed great. I believe the manicure trim could have been cleaner as I had some areas with cuticle skin still visible. I needed a good clean and I can't say I 100% got that. The price was perfect, but I'm not sure I will be back. I suppose it's a good spot if you just need a quick polish. read more

I went to this nail shop to get a full set done around 11 a.m., thinking it would be empty, but it…read morewas completely packed. As I waited, I started getting worried because I had to head back to work something I normally wouldn't try to squeeze in during my workday, but I had no other availability this week. I asked how much longer the wait might be since other clients were being helped (which I understand may have been appointments), and I wanted to know if I had enough time to stay or if I needed to leave. They were very kind and let me know I was next. Lily ended up helping me, and she was amazing. She was so attentive and apologetic about the wait, even though it was really my own time crunch. She took her time and paid so much attention to detail with my nails. In the 20+ years I've been getting my nails done, this is honestly one of the few times I can truly say they came out perfect from the shape to the polish to the design. I absolutely loved my nails and will definitely be booking with Lily again in the future. She was so sweet and genuinely such a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you, Lyn

The lady who was doing my toes did a decent job but…read morewas very harsh and gave me dirty looks. the guy who did my acrylic was nice but kept leaving product all over my fingers. when it came time to do the design, it took three different people to attempt to draw a f-ing flower. they kept asking me if there was a different type of flower i liked and they tried a different one and they still struggled. i ended up just doing a cheeta print instead because they were already closing and i just wanted to go home. once she had finished my nails she started filing my nails and ended up taking the polish off with the file leaving me more mad because some one couldn't get it right the first time. i'm definitely NOT going back!!
