He screamed at me (19 year old girl, college student) due to me being quoted $250 MAX for the pick up of the vehicle by his employee when I questioned why the price was $585. I then get yelled at being called a liar, and also got yelled at for "calling his employee a liar." My 20yr old female friend was also screamed at to the point she was crying in the office. He decides to even it out with $350, after claiming it was impounded, yelling at me, calling me a liar, and "making his time wasted.". The other employees in the office were amazing, helpful, and explained the situation while their boss was screaming at a teenager. Afterwards we had left the office to go retrieve the car. While switching vehicles we see said man, owner, manager person, leave the office and start walking towards us which is across the street. At this point we're are scared and trying to leave as soon as possible because we felt unsafe and scared of this man. After charging me $115 for a simple…read morediagnosis of a failed A/C compressor, they proceeded to tell me that in order for the warranty to be valid on a new compressor, they would also have to replace the condenser and a bunch of other parts which were not broken, all for a total of over $1900. I never heard of such a requirement for a "warranty". I asked them for other choices, such as replacing the compressor only and forget the warranty, or install a second-hand compressor. I also asked if the $115 diagnostic charge would be applied as a credit on the final bill. I don't think that was well received. The attendant said she would have to ask the mechanic and get back to me. She never called me back. I guess they figured I was not going to be a pushover customer, so they decided to run with my $115. Meanwhile I got a dealer quote to replace the compressor with an EOM part and warranty for $1300. A mechanic friend of mine advised that I go with the dealer, since private shops often use overpriced after market parts anyway. I never found an auto repair shop that charges more than a dealer, but this is it. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS.

Absolutely the worst tow company I've ever encountered. My father needed his car towed due to…read moremedical emergency and was impounded under 24 hours (6:00pm to noon). They charged him for two days claiming if the vehicle is impounded after midnight it's considered a day even though it technically is not. (State of Maine caps impounds $15-$50 per day) however since this is a private company they can charge as much as 75$ a day clearly monopolizing and taking advantage of people due to the rural area and lack of other towing businesses. Additionally they do not work with insurance companies. My father's insurance company provided letter of guarantee and they still demanded upfront payment which I had to fork over even though this is acceptable for most tow companies. Disgustingly greedy business dynamic.
