I chose the restaurant because it's located in the Gallerie Vivienne. The server broke a glass and the cacio e pepe was not made with linguine. I don't know what this was supposed to be but it was not cacio e pepe. It also listed linguine on the menu. This is not linguine. Furthermore, our server broke two glasses (one after the other). It was not a good sign. Mama mia! After the meal, I walked to the restroom and saw the bread station crew cutting loaves of bread without gloves. The kitchen is an open kitchen near the pathway by bathrooms. On my way back towards the table, I saw a line cook eating from the pizza prep area while preparing dough. I'm pretty sure this must happen in some restaurant's kitchens that are out of sight. But, since Darko cooking area is set up for customers to see all, these actions are noteworthy to share. Overall, this experience was interesting for sure.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences that I've ever had while traveling. We walked from the beautiful, lit-up Louvre to this neighborhood, looking for Daroco, which was recommended to us by a foodie friend who frequents Paris. We arrived (without a reservation) and walked into a magical space. They have a second level that dangles from the ceiling, beautiful lighting, and a thick velvet curtain that you pull aside to reveal it all. The host ushered us to the only empty table in the space and we noticed that everyone around us was speaking French. We started with a bruschetta appetizer that was insanely good, followed by two of the best pizzas we've ever had. The dough was handmade and absolutely incredible. We savored every single bite. I still think about that pizza and now tell everyone visiting Paris to stop in here. I just found out that they're also opening a location in London soon, which is exciting. Don't miss it and maybe go at night... it's so glowy when lit up!

This was the first place I went to in Paris and it definitely set my trip off to a good start! We had a reservation and were seated in the main dining area, which is gorgeous. We loved the mirrored ceiling and the bright atmosphere. We split a bottle of wine which was great, and had the focaccia, a pizza, and a pasta to share. The focaccia was not great, it was basically a garlic bread pizza (thin) and not nearly as fluffy and thick as I had hoped it'd be. The pizza and pasta were both great. The crust on the pizza was *chefs kiss* and the pasta was cooked and flavored perfectly. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and we had an amazing meal; highly recommend this restaurant!

Location and Ambience was very nice. Place seemed upscale and classy. There was a line that formed and was there by the time they open. Get a reservation. Only open at 7PM. The Pasta with Rage was great, and the pizzas very enjoyable. Place is small and cozy feel. Chocolate Mousse was to die for. Make sure and get it.

Didn't realize the bar and restaurant are two different names until after ordering our food- wasn't impressed with any of the food here. We ordered pizza, pasta, and mixed vegetables for the salad. Flavors just didn't go well together for us. After our meal we made a stop at the bar in the back- it was gorgeous and my friend really enjoyed her drinks. Only downfall was that it was stuffy and had no ventilation! Was a little tough to manage for a hot summer night.

I can't tell you enough to come here and enjoy this place. The food was amazing. The service was impeccable. The ambience was gorgeous and relaxing. This is for sure one of the reasons I'll be back to Paris!! I ordered the shrimp boccatini I think it was called and everyone was staring at my plate. I think the two people next to me ordered the same thing especially after I raved about it! And the tiramisu????!!!!! I wasn't even hungry anymore but had to try it and I ate every last bit. It melts in your mouth and every bite is like the first one lol. So good! Almost licked the plate, Hehe. And don't forget to try the bar in the back afterwords.

This is a very hip restaurant and the food is good. However, and this was the only time I experienced this dining in restaurants for almost every meal over the course of 8 days in France: when the waiter handed us the point of sale machine when paying, it gave us the tip option: 10%, 15%, etc. and a "no merci". Endless to say, with him standing there waiting for us, we felt obligated to tip but given that tips are not expected in France as they are in the US, it did make us feel as if we were asked because we are American. (And we were a party of three, so not a large party to manage.) If gratuity expectations in France have changed, please do comment - I'm not against tipping whatsoever (particularly in the US where it's critical to supplement staff wages) but based on immediate and past experiences in France, this was was very awkward.

This location opened up two weeks ago and was highly recommended by some local friends. The beer is cold and the pizza is awesome. We had the opportunity to sit on the second level overlooking the first floor and the entrance. Great people watching! It doesn't appear to be a tourist spot with all the locals stopping by for lunch. We did arrive around 11:5am and bet the crowds. It's definitely worth a try from one foodie to another. Enjoy!

This restaurant has a very dark exterior and you can easily miss it if you don't know what you're looking for. Everything was chicly decorated and we wondered if we were under dressed. They seated our group at the back of the first floor, near the kitchen. The privacy was nice yet we felt secluded from the other guests. Amongst us we shared one gnocchi, 5 pizzas and 2 desserts - hungry some? The pizzas were outstanding! The crusts were like fluffy bread. The chocolate mousse was amazing too. Overall, spot on meal

Was incredibly impressed. I had been craving pizza and I happened to stumble across this restaurant on a blog. We came on a Monday night at 9. It was very fashion week. Lots of very young, hip people with fur coats and YSL bags. Make sure you dress a little nicer. We both ordered a pizza. I got a margarita (11€) and my boyfriend got a prosciutto (17€) and we ended up getting four glasses of aglianico (6€/glass). The wine was really great and both of our pizzas were heaven! I have a hard time finding phenomenal pizza in Paris...but this is the best I think I've had, ever. The crust was slightly crisp and the mozzarella was in little balls instead of coating my entire pizza. All in all the total was 52€ which is a very good deal. The interior of this place is gorgeous, it reminded me of New York. Very tall ceiling with a mirror on top to add light. Velvet booths and curtains and two stories. Very different than the typical Parisian style. Really loved this place. Will definitely be back!

So we wandered across the street and found this nice little spot with outside seating and a variety of appealing menu items. We were seated outside quickly and after a little time our waitress came to take our order. As mentioned in my other reviews we have small appetites, so we decided to split the Pizza Salsiccia based on its other reviews. When reading reviews, keep in mind that there are two locations for this restaurant. As I perused the reviews, it appeared that the other location, has more of the five star reviews. Despite that we decided to give it a try. The pizza was flavorful. I am a bit of a pizza aficionado, so my standards are very high. I would give the pizza a 3 star rating because it was very wet in the middle. The type where the topping pull off when pull a slice out. The coffee we had after was very good. Overall I think I can recommend this place with the caveat that I do not recommend the pizza, unless you like that type of dough.

We settled on Ober Mamma, which had wonderful reviews. We got there, there was a line and it was raining. the chances of having a sit-down meal at this packed place were grilled, until they gave us the opportunity to sit outside. We immediately jumped not he opportunity, and immediately ordered. Franchesco came out with his wide happy smile and took our order. He a delight to have wait on us. We ordered the mortadella with pieces of parmigiano, a Smoking Hot pizza, and La Fameus Pate a la Truffe. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine from Sicily, Franchesco's homeland. The pizza and the pasta came out first, and we started eating right away. The pizza had the right amount of heat, and the pasta was not overwhelmed with truffles. Then came the mortadella which was delicious. We would have preferred the mortadella first, but we happy ate it. Inside, the place is huge, and loud. The ambiance is modern and feels upscale. As with all places in Europe, the temperature inside was hot- so we were actually happy to be sitting outside. Luckily we were not getting wet under the awning, but it was cold. Luckily, this place also provides blankets for your legs which we happily used. At the end of our meal, Franchesco brought us some Lomoncello and hung out with us telling us about Italy & France. We had an amazing evening, great food, and even better company. Give this place a try. You will not be sorry.

The story goes that I and the rest of my Nintendo of America colleagues had just finished up a very exciting business conference with our friends over at Nintendo of Europe. After wrap up, we decided to take a small tour around the lovely city of Paris. I, of course, took note of all of the similarities between the real Paris and the version seen in the Mario Kart Tour mobile game. I have to say, Nintendo hits it out of the park once again. We then decided to stop inside the Gemini, since that seemed to be the only restaurant name that I could pronounce. I decided to order the Truffle Pizza, and since I am from New York, I love a good pizza. The first bite and it was already heaven on earth! Truly authentic French food being served at this wonderful establishment. I am also very glad that the waiters entertained my shenanigans when asking them what they thought about Mother 3. I had a good laugh after they didn't even know what I was talking about. Excellent service, great food, and an overall fantstic time for any Nintendo fan wanting to stop in and admire the beautiful jungles of France. Also, don't forget to check out Pikmin 4, which lands in stores July 21st. Thank you for reading this highly anticipated Reggie Review, and I will see you all another time, Switch fans!

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.
