Haven't been to the dentist in an embarrassing amount of time. Let's say, twenty years. Walked in terrified expecting the worst, but was quickly calmed by office staff's reassurance. Got a full exam and I needed some fillings replaced, cavities filled and a crown. Also recommended a deep clean, which I hear is very unpleasant. Let me just say, I didn't even know he gave me the numbing shot. Drilling was a breeze and deep cleaning actually felt nice! Dentist is super friendly and amazing along with his entire staff. Dr. Chu is by far the best dentist I have ever had. I have plenty of dentists to compare him to since I am 60 and have lived in several locations. I started seeing Dr. Chu in 2000 when he fixed all my teeth and fillings and crowns. I then had braces and finally had the beautiful teeth I always wanted at age 42, thanks to Dr. Chu. I moved in 2004 to Maine and then to Florida and then to San Diego but when I moved back to Orange County in 2013 the first place I went back to for dentistry was Dr Chu. I went to Dr. Chu's office to have my teeth zoomed and the whole experience was beyond great. It's been about a month and my teeth still look as white as they did when I left the office. I've had so many people give me compliments on them. I've had my teeth whitened before but never has it been this easy. I had previously done Britesmile whitening in Beverly Hills and experienced a lot of pain and discomfort. At Dr. Chu's office the staff was with me the entire time, they checked on my continuously, and best of all I had no pain. Dr. Chu's office has that now-rare perfect combination of a great dentist, excellent hygienists, AND an incredible office staff. Every one of the people in this office genuinely care about you, the patient. My kids (teens and 20s) and I all go to Dr. Chu's office. My youngest has to have dental implants, and the Good Doctor has done that work in addition to our regular dentistry. He has also expressed great interest in what my son is doing at school. He and my son both turned out to be involved in Rotary International, so Dr. Chu is not only a dentist, he's also a fellow Rotarian who is extremely involved in his community. As I said, the hygienists are all great. None of them is a nag about brushing and flossing, and they are all gentle and friendly as they work. Now for the best part -- Marla in the front office is a wonderful lady with a gentle voice that can charm the most evil insurance company rep. She obviously takes copious notes when calling insurance companies, because later when they don't quite pay what they said they would, she pulls out her notes and nails them! Next thing you know, more of your treatment is covered than you dreamed it would. (This is a godsend when you're paying for implants.) Dr. Chu's office is conveniently located in Anaheim Hills at the corner of Nohl Ranch and Canyon Rim. His office is small and not fancy, but that's fine with me. I don't want to pay high fees for a dentist's office in a high-rent building nor for a raft of video games to keep the kiddies amused. There are four chairs in the tiny waiting area, and three exam chairs in the back. It's a nice, clean little office with a small-town feel in a community where it's darned tough to find a medical professional who'll see you in the next three months IF you're lucky. You'll be very happy with your dental treatment at Dr. Chu's office. And admit it -- you know you want to be able to tell your friends that your dentist is named Dr. Chu! read more

I went to Dr Chu on the recommendation of my boyfriend. I always covered my smile because I was so embarrassed of my teeth. Together, Dr Chu and I embarked on quite a journey to correct my teeth and now I have a huge, happy smile that I haven't had in years. It's amazing!!!! The first thing that impressed me was the fact I met him for the first time in his office. Yes, there were forms to fill out and questions to be answered.
