I met with 5 orthodontists when I was ready due to an issue with my bite. 3 said I must have jaw surgery. One that they could help. Dr. Brian said- I love this challenge! He shared that he can absolutely help and even better, with Invisalign which I didn't think was possible. He guaranteed a success rate of maybe 50-70% better than it currently is. That was more than I ever expected. In my opinion, his success rate was greater! Probably 85% better than it was and I just love my bite today. Love my smile. I have referred many to them since. Dr Lee is amazing himself, and the back office staff are amazing HOWEVER the front desk receptionist is terrible!!!! I wouldn't recommend this place just due to the front desk receptionist lack of knowledge and how RUDE she was to me. I came back for retainers TWO years after my Invisalign and somehow she said i owed more money but on my statement balance said 0$ and she couldn't give me a clear answer why i owed money and just kept saying i owed it and needed more proof and continuously saying "i don't know" she was horrible and so rude and wouldn't let me talk to the drs about this issue.. she was snarky and laughed when i made a statement. I have two kids and braces at the same time because the discounts for $1000 off made it economical to have both kids at the same time. The doctors go out of their way to accommodate each child to keep their schedule of the braces timing. I recommend this to any family. We shopped around and they're so friendly. I got my metal braces on today and when they applied the braces it was honestly not painful at all! I was seriously amazed with how gentle Dr.Lee and Robin were with putting them on! I've had braces in the past with a different orthodontist and I just remember being in sooo much pain throughout the whole process of it. My son can't stop smiling!! For my son, getting braces was not just a cosmetic decision but necessary to align his teeth to keep them from eventually wearing down, thus comprising the integrity of his teeth. The result is a beautiful smile that will also protect his teeth for the rest of his life. I had no idea is wasn't just a cosmetic decision until we did a consultation with Dr. Brian. Dr Brian showed us the before images and thoughtfully and patiently explained how the misaligned teeth would eventually cause dental challenges down the road as my sons back teeth were sitting directly on top of each other. We could see how his front teeth were misaligned, but it's what you couldn't see (until we looked at the imaging) that solidified our decision to get started right away with the clear ceramic braces. The staff is top-notch. Kristen in the front office is always friendly and helpful and worked with our insurance (even helping to navigate our change of insurance). Robin, the orthodontist technician, is the real deal. She is always professional, so knowledgeable and very thorough, and friendly. And Dr Brian is the ultimate reason we chose to come to The Hills Smile Lab. He will put you at ease with his kind and friendly demeanor. He always made my son feel comfortable. (I should also mention Dr Andrew Lee is awesome too, we only had the chance to meet him a couple of time throughout the treatment since almost all of our appointments were scheduled on Fridays. We are About nine months into our braces treatment, and weve had such a wonderful experience the whole way. Even with Covid limitations on appts in March and April Dr. Andrew has been able to keep my daughters braces on track and she might even be done sooner than anticipated! They are very patient, thorough and explain everything they do. Robin is awesome at connecting with the kids and Taking care of their needs. As a sidenote they do have one customer that tends to walk in every time we are there for braces adjustments, and she gives the staff such a hard time unnecessarily. I really hope she doesn't rate their services, because I watch how patient they are with her and she has extreme issues with things that that does not even apply to their office. I highly recommend all of the staff at this office and would put total confidence in any of my children having braces or any work done by their team! read more

We started our braces journey when my daughter was a freshman in high school in late 2018. She is now half way done with her senior year. When she got her braces put on, insurance covered their portion and we made payment arrangements for our portion. It initially was an 18 month agreement where we paid $200 a month. It got modified a few months in and became a 24 month agreement, but our payments became just $100 per month. We paid every month until our portion of the agreement was complete. Our portion was complete in August of 2021. During my daughter's last visit the ortho told her, "BTW, before you can get your braces off your parents need to pay another or so". Evidently, there was a portion that the insurance didn't pay for whatever reason. I'm really not sure and this was the FIRST we heard of it............and we'd been connected to this place for about 37-38 months. The receptionist said that they tried to get the money from the the insurance company (evidently it's a quarterly thing) on 3 occasions (1 time quarterly). So, they knew that the insurance may not cover a portion for some reason for 9 months. However, this is the first I've heard of it. Frankly, we have 4 daughters, two of which have December birthdays.......and then Christmas. Being told at the last minute that she can't get her braces off unless we fork over $750 right now is pretty in-opportune at this moment. The lady at the front desk said that "that's why we recommend you keep your insurance for the next two years". Well, we initiated this agreement on November 17, 2018. PLUS we made our last payment to them in the first week of August 2021. They've had plenty of time to inform us. Shoot, if they were diligent and informed us we could have just continued to pay $100 a month for another 7 months. Instead, they tell us on her 2nd to the last visit. My daughter and I both got our braces on during covid and they've been so great at making everyone feel safe while still being efficient with time. When we decided to get our daughter braces we researched a lot of orthodontist in Orange County. We went to 3-4 different orthodontist offices. When we walked in the office of The Hills Smile lab we knew it was our place. The office is clean, and nicely decorated. Kristin at the front desk scheduled our free consultation and Dr. Brian Luong evaluated my daughter's teeth. Dr. Luong was professional and friendly and Kristin helped us choose the right braces type. The day my daughter got her braces on she was nervous but Dr. Lee and the rest of the staff made her feel comfortable.The digital impressions they offer were very helpful for us to see the future end results. The process of getting my daughter's braces was smooth and painless and at the end of the procedure my daughter was given a very cool gift that she was so excited about. What a classy gesture! They also had her name on the front with a congratulations sign which was very nice. They make you feel like family. A couple week later my daughter had a loose bracket and it was in the evening but I was worried so texted Dr. Lee directly and he was very helpful and he even scheduled our next appointment so we can get the bracket fixed. This is the best ortho office. I had braces as a kid but like most people stopped wearing retainers and my teeth shifted. As an adult, I went to several orthodontists to improve my teeth and tried getting new retainers made. It was super annoying and didn't improve my teeth much. I finally went to Dr. Luong for Invisalign and wish I did it much earlier. My teeth are now perfect and it was faster and less cumbersome than retainers. Dr. Luong himself is top-notch. He went to Harvard dental and did his residency at a top program in Nebraska. Dr. Luong is super personable and will make you feel comfortable. He's good with adults and goods.
