Took my vehicle in for a major oil leak. Was told it was the valley pan gasket, valve cover gasket, oil cooler line, and oil pan gasket. Due to the extent of the oil leak I asked if the rear main seal was leaking. I was told no that it was the only items listed above. Approved the repairs and picked up the vehicle. Was told they had to power wash the underneath due to the amount of oil that had been leaking. So not to be alarmed if I saw some drips for awhile. Drove the vehicle less than 50 miles and the leak was just as bad as it always was had to put 2.5 quarts of oil in. Took back to Dart was then told it was the rear main seal. This was definitely misdiagnosed the first time. They then wanted another $1000 to do the rear main seal. Per the owner Dave after doing the other repairs it added more oil pressure causing the rear main seal to go out. Oil pressure was never an issue and carries the same oil pressure before and after repairs. At this point I'm not convinced they even replaced the gaskets they said they replaced. As I can't tell any difference with the oil leak. Definitely would not recommend this shop. read more

I had them do a pre purchase inspection on my daughter's first vehicle. Came back telling me I only needed the front struts replaced and a alignment. So nothing major and I went ahead and purchased the vehicle knowing I would need this done. Now 2-3 months later and maybe 1000 miles put on the vehicle since the inspection I decided to get the work done. So now I need the back struts replaced, sensors changed and the transmission is about to go bad. I'm just blown away they didn't recognize any of this and have cost me thousands. I have an old F-150 that needed a fuel pump, and I saw DART had good ratings, so I asked them to give me a quote. Sounded reasonable so I had it towed in. It was done the next day, and the quote was spot on. And they used a GOOD fuel pump (Delphi) instead of some cheap one just to get by. I normally do my own work, but changing the fuel pump is a real pain if you don't have a lift. Anyway, I would highly recommend these guys. Professional. They booked a day for me to bring it in, and it was done the next day. The quote was spot on with the final price. I know good work when I see it, and these guys do good work. read more

Better ask if they have the parts! No phone call after waiting a week to get in to say they are waiting on the part and the owner will ask you whether you want him to fix the car or no if you complain about not getting a phone call. They will call for a quote if $300 to one of $1,000! So still no answer when the part will be in and when the car will be done. Guess it's none of our business to know. I brought my car to Dart Auto to get transmission pan re-sealed to stop it leaking. Three return trips later a Better Business Bureau complaint number 17688287 a botched refund and money spent on Uber. I still have a leaking transmission pan. Where is the value here? The owner refused to let me use a loaner car for my 4th time I had to drop off my car for the same repair they did not fix the first 3 times the funny thing is they let me use a loaner the 3rd time I had to take my car back. Every time I went there had to watch the receptionist go back and forth with the owner on the phone and listen to her translate to me what the owner was saying to her. Pretty much the owner hides behind the receptionist. After several back and forth confrontations on the Better Business Bureau website over the owner refusing to let me use a loaner car for the 4th time I would need to take my car back so they could fix their botched transmission pan re-seal.I would also like to point out that the oil pan was re-sealed also on the original visit and now the oil pan is leaking again. I finally just wanted it to end it and accepted a refund for the Transmission pan re-seal. So this shows me the owner does not stand behind their work they will argue with you until you settle on a refund. Now I still have a leaking transmission pan and leaking oil pan.I really do not see why people hype this hole in the wall place. Never taking my car to Dart Auto again. My a/c compressor died in the middle of summer. I was quoted $1400 with tax to fix it by one of the major mechanic chains. I ended up buying the compressor myself (saving quite a bit of money) and asked around about who would be willing to put it in. I got a few recommendations for Dart and gave them a call. I was quoted $300. They did the work, including recharging the a/c. All in, I spent around $650 to fix my problem... less than half of the big guys! Thanks, Dart! read more

A friend told my husband and I about D.A.R.T and just had his replaced. Took it to D.A.R.T. They quoted $1,410. They now have a new customer. Very pleased! I have a newer Range Rover (out of warranty) that needed a new radiator : (. I called around most places wouldn't touch it , the dealership quoted me around 2000.00 : (. I was Reffered by a friend to Dart Automotive , not only was the person answering the phone friendly and informative Dave replaced my radiator or under half the price I was quoted from other places and the dealership. I know this wasn't a easy job to do so I wasn't expecting the fast service I received They had me scheduled within 2 days and my truck completed in a day. Dart Automotive. Meagan is the office manager and she is very organized and efficient. She keeps you informed. Her customer service is excellent. Dave installed an engine in my BMW 528i. He did an excellent job and addressed all the indicator lights on the instrument panel. His price was very reasonable and lower than all the competition. He went over and above as the car was towed in and it's difficult to get BMW's into neutral after the engine locks. They are good, they figured it out! Would I recommend him? Absolutely, my other car is already scheduled for repair. read more

Buyer Beware!! I took my vehicle in to this place of business to have quite a bit of work done to my vehicle. They took an exorbitant amount of time, over six weeks, and I am extremely unhappy with their service. I ended up spending over $3300 on services from this automotive shop, and this took way longer than anticipated, and after the parts were replaced that needed to be replaced I went and picked up my vehicle. I had asked them to go over the entire vehicle to let me know anything that needed to be addressed as I was willing to do so at that time. After paying my bill of over $3300 I was only able to drive the vehicle for about 25 miles when a part that was replaced previous to this shop getting the vehicle broke after their work was done. The part was an alternator which had less than 200 miles on it, so that was not an area of concern since this was an almost a brand new part. After driving the truck 25 miles that part broke. I called them to inquire about what could be done and asked for the shop owner Dave to call me back. However he had his secretary call me back twice instead of calling me back himself. I would have to incur another tow fee to get it back to their shop and they said the only thing that they could do for me would be provide some labor cost which was equal to about $15, but I would have to replace the part with my own funds. The shop owner Dave did not ever speak with me after multiple request to have him call me, after I had spent over $3300 at his location. I am a disabled veteran of the United States Marine Corps and am appalled at the fact of how I was treated and that they did not offer me any sort of resolution that would be close to acceptable, again just $15 off labor. I had also asked to inspect the exhaust system which I was told was fine however part of the back exhaust on one side fell off as well during those 25 miles. Deplorable that they are willing to treat a disabled veteran in this fashion. read more

It is hit or miss with these folks. Had some good experiences but then again had a really bad one. They do some repairs very well but my transmission work was not one of those occasions. They replaced my transmission and it failed right after the warranty ran out. The warranty is also very short period of time. read more

I have an older vehicle that needed 2 catylitic converts, serpentine belt and also a new set of plugs. I've done business with Dart quite a bit in the past and they have always done a great job. So I had no hesitation taking my vehical there. Just the nature of the repairs ; 2 catylitic converters alone made the bill high. When I went in to pick the car up it ran great . I knew the engine had a lifter that was sticking from before so I thought if I reved the engine a little at a stop light the lifter would unstick. Unforetunately when I did this the timing chain broke inside the engine! I managed to "limp" the car home and have it towed back to Dart the next day. When I called to get the prognosis from Dave the owner, the news was not good. When the timing chain broke all the valves inside the engine 24 in all were bent and the engine was done. What happened next is why I give Dave and Dart Automotive a 5 star rating. Even though the timing chain breaking was totally not his fault Dave said in his humble way of speaking " I'll take care of it". The man went way above and beyond the normal course of action and replaced the motor. Not a brand new one but a good used engine. At the time of writing this review so far so good! It's just a good feeling to know there people like Dave at Dart Automotive that still do great things like this especially when he did'nt have to. I would 100% recommend Dart to anyone! read more

Brought my vehicle in to have mis-fires fixed. After we pick up the van, it still is mis-firing. Took it to another mechanic, and he says the mis-fires were never fixed. Called the owner and instead of offering to look at it again, he got upset at us. This guy is a scammer. BBB has been notified. read more

We took our vehicle to Dart Automotive due to recommendations we had heard on 610 Radio. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we expected. After having our vehicle for two days, due to a 4-wheel drive issue, we were told it was ready for pick up. When the vehicle was picked up late Friday were were handed the keys and told there was no charge...surprising, right! There was not a charge because the vehicle had not repaired and no one at Dart said a word. When we contacted Dart on Monday to inform them the vehicle still seemed to have the 4-wheel drive issue, the Dart representative stated they had done some wiring work and the check-out individual was to give us a "paper" explaining what had been done. He provided no other explanation, did not suggest we bring the vehicle back for them to take another look or even appear to care that our vehicle was still sporadically popping in and out of 4-wheel drive. This was by far the worst customer service experience we have ever experienced. If Dart Automotive could not find the problem...fine...just be honest and communicate that fact. read more
