We picked Daruma on a whim for our last dinner in Dublin & we hit the jackpot. What an incredible spot. - Unique craft cocktails - Truly authentic Japanese food - Super fresh fish* - Delectable miso soup** - Cool, hip vibe (but not too pretentious) - Unforgettable service*** *We tried the omakase (chef's choice) sashimi plate & were not disappointed. It's a treat to have the task of decision making taken away from you. We thoroughly enjoyed every piece of fish. **I ordered it once, finished it, then ordered it again. So good. ***We had so much fun with Souto. We exchanged stories, laughed a lot, & told him he's always welcome to visit us in America. He also taught us quite a bit about sake, & we were convinced to try a bottle. Loved it! What a great meal made even better by a great human connection. 5/5 - Will go down as one of my favorite meals out, ever!

Amazing sushi and small plates near Temple Bar. The sashimi and nigiri were excellent, especially the wagyu. Great selection of sake and cocktails, and the service was prompt and courteous. We stopped in for a light lunch and were very satisfied with several small plates and some sushi. Would love to return for dinner!

Absolutely amazing! In the US we're used to different sushi with lots of sauces and such. This was just the basics and delicious. Our favorite was the A5 Hida Wagyu and Salmon Hosomaki. Our server was the best. I would suggest this place to anyone wanting a great sushi experience in Dublin.

The staff happily took out their awning to block the sun so we could enjoy the shade. Ordered the chicken teriyaki bento and fried octopus. I was nervous to try the eggplant but it turned out to be the most DELICIOUS eggplant I've ever had and I hate eggplant! The chicken was juicy and nothing was left in the bento when we left! Definitely will come back in the future!

Macho sake was kind of like a sparkling wineNe

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.

The ambiance is very nice as well, romantic but also good for a fun night out with friends. 10/10 recommend adding this to your itinerary for dinner!

My first thought was "who comes to Dublin to go to a wine bar?" but my first thought was totally wrong. I absolutely loved La Cava! It's such a cozy intimate restaurant. It gave me lots of West Village (NYC) vibes. Be careful when looking for the restaurant because you can walk right by it, It's a little place right off of Grafton St. It's also located downstairs! Such a hidden gem! We did the 3-course pre-fixe. The burrata was amazing, so fresh! The service was excellent. You were given plenty of time to enjoy your food without being rushed for the next course. The duck was perfect, and the lamb was delicious. For the dessert, the creme brulee was grand. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The prices were reasonable! I highly recommend having dinner here if you're in Dublin. Note, the restaurant is small, so you'll be sitting very close to other people. Personally, this didn't bother me, but some people might not love that. But be aware, that they don't accept AMEX!

I was by myself so I sat at the bar. Just a few seats and quite cozy. Perfect!! Had the pleasure of Jon taking care of me. Started with a sparkling rose' while looking at the menu. Decided on the 2 course Prix Fixe. Chose the mussels and then the fish duo. Of course had to have wine. I honestly can't get enough of this place. Can't wait to return!!
