I was anticipating this hidden gem since I arrived in Dublin. We finally made it and decided to sit outside on the patio. We chose the Charcuterie platter and beers instead of wine. Everything was exceptional. I will return when in Dublin.

This was the last dinner we had on our weeklong trip in Ireland and it was such a disappointment. It was very overpriced for what you get and the food lacked flavor. I was so bummed I picked this as our last dinner. The prawns dish was the best of the several things our party had, but the risotto had zero flavor, the "haddock" was really just more risotto with very little fish at all and the lamb needed seasoning pretty badly. The ambiance of the place was nice thus the 3 stars, but I would never suggest this place to someone.

Super cute place with delicious wines and tasty food! They have a crazy long wine list, with options like "daily tastes" and "weird reds." As for food, it's tapas style, with plenty of vegetarian, meat, and fish options. My favorites were the goat cheese toasts, chorizo and brie toasts, and the winter caprese salad. Between the two of us, we got 3 of the smaller plates and two bigger ones and it was enough to really fill us up. Also, the tiramisu was amazing!

My wife and I decided to give this place a try during our stay in Dublin. We headed down a bit early for dinner to beat the rush. We ended up being the only people dining here at this time. Plenty of wine to choose from on the menu, with different categories to help keep it organized. We each ordered a caprese salad to start. Absolutely delicious. The tomatoes were fresh and ripe, and accompanied by a large ball of mozzarella. The entire plate is drizzled with a delicious pesto, and it's all topped with an anchovy filet. For as simple as a caprese salad typically is, they really nailed it. For the main course we chose the steamed mussels in broth and the fresh pasta with pork ragu. Both were very fresh and delicious, and great portion sizes. Would definitely recommend this place to avoid the crowds of temple bar area, as well as having some great tasting food and wine. Also to note, some older reviews cite this as being a tapas restaurant, when it is not anymore. (In my humble opinion)

Excellent wine selection and you get a decent size glass if you order by the glass only. Pleasant staff. Really want to return to try some food.

Excellent wine selection and good value. Not what you would expect for temple bar. The food received rave reviews so worth a return visit. Nice outside seating area Ms staff were very pleasant.

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.

My first thought was "who comes to Dublin to go to a wine bar?" but my first thought was totally wrong. I absolutely loved La Cava! It's such a cozy intimate restaurant. It gave me lots of West Village (NYC) vibes. Be careful when looking for the restaurant because you can walk right by it, It's a little place right off of Grafton St. It's also located downstairs! Such a hidden gem! We did the 3-course pre-fixe. The burrata was amazing, so fresh! The service was excellent. You were given plenty of time to enjoy your food without being rushed for the next course. The duck was perfect, and the lamb was delicious. For the dessert, the creme brulee was grand. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The prices were reasonable! I highly recommend having dinner here if you're in Dublin. Note, the restaurant is small, so you'll be sitting very close to other people. Personally, this didn't bother me, but some people might not love that. But be aware, that they don't accept AMEX!

I was by myself so I sat at the bar. Just a few seats and quite cozy. Perfect!! Had the pleasure of Jon taking care of me. Started with a sparkling rose' while looking at the menu. Decided on the 2 course Prix Fixe. Chose the mussels and then the fish duo. Of course had to have wine. I honestly can't get enough of this place. Can't wait to return!!
