I was extremely distraught after totaling my car, and he did his best to make me feel better about the whole situation. May 12th after driving 3 days across country his older brother who acted as a father to him attempted to claim the twisted metal that had been his bike. This towing company advised him that to retrieve the bike it would take $4,000.00. They later reduced it to $3,200.00. From what I can find the maximum storage per day is $50.00 for anything weighing less than a van. $50.00 × 8 days =400.00. ($400.00-$500.00 per day???? Really?) Even adding labor would not add up to $3,200.00. These people took extreme advantage of a severely grieving family. Knowing that coming from 1/2 way across the continent he had no choice but to pay it if he wanted to save this last link with his brother. This is a disgusting example of how far people will go when greed is involved. I truly hope and pray that this is not a true example of the type of people we have become.
