After returning home from these repairs, I noticed grease splatter and leaking from the cv axles. This was taken care of on an additional visit at no cost to me. Then in Jan '25, I returned to have the A/C looked at again (for the original issue) and some new clunking noises that had surfaced from front end work. This time I'm told there is no visible issues with the A/C and the clunking noises could be anything. With the mis-diagnoses of the A/C, clunking issues, and leaking of the axle, I've decided that I can no longer trust the "guessing and wanting to throw parts at it", that Stephen made reference to. I will no longer need servicing at Rennen Imports.

The mobile mechanic came out and gave me recommendations what to fix, after reviewing the estimate I noticed it was higher than dealer pricing so I called around a few shops local to me and spoke to Mike from German Auto Service. Mike from German Auto Service was very friendly on the phone and told me to bring my car in the same day, he would do an inspection, even though I told him I have an estimate already, he said he wanted to confirm himself. Sure enough, I showed up and Mike was able to tell me what the real problem was and what needed to be fixed, there was other things listed that were not the real problem so I told Mike to complete the work. Mike and his team was able to get the parts and labor done on my car and even did an oil change all for a very reasonable price, compared to if I brought it in the dealer I know I would of paid an arm and leg more. The work was done in a timely fashion on a business Friday, speaking with Mike more when picking up my car, I learned that he is very knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical work with German cars, he's a native German and been doing this for many years so right away I knew this was the right person who should be working on my Car. I just moved here from California and Mike will be my go to mechanic from now on living in Tampa.
