I have been driving my Mercedes 240D since brand new in 1980. It has 160,000 miles and runs like new. That is partly the good relationship with my skilled German mechanic. I wish I could have found him sooner as I would have saved considerable money. Just this week I had a major problem as my stick shift was locked in first gear. I got two ballpark estimates and then called Mike. He gave me his preferred tow truck company neme and number, and they delivered my 240 D to him post-haste.. He had already found the parts needed for a 37 year old 240D. It was ready the very next day. The cost was almost exactly half the cost from my two estimates..In the process he found another problem and fixed it. This person (woman?) does not deserve ( her grammar proves it) an expert as is Mike, my German mechanic. Write that in your book Judy! Whenever I had problems with my car (Volkswagen) I had to do appointments, leave the car for a few days in the shop and pay a lot of money. This time engine light was on and I searched the famous name to check this (work 10 minutes) but it is only done with appointments and lasts two hours because they have a lot of work. I searched online and found German car repair, I found Mike who checked and gave me a diagnosis. The next day I left the car in his shop and within a few hours it was repaired. Mike's reputation in the community preceded him. I was referred to him by another master mechanic when I bought a used car that needed some work done. I had heard about him for years. He operates a one man shop, and does everything himself. The owner of the business is also your mechanic, so he takes his work and reputation seriously, and explains any repair he does. He makes sure the job is done right, and won't let the car go until he's satisfied that your vehicle is back in good working order. I would like to thank Mike for his excellent work on my2007 x3 Bmw.He looked over my car after being told it was the radiator by another place turned out was only the resivor cost less than 1/2 I was told to fix. He also saw that I had been charged 95.00 by another local place when they installed my battery for something they said had to be done on computer for bmw's and it did not.He actually called them on the matter which I did not ask him to do. Mike is one of the rare Mechanics that is honest, fair, and knowledgeable. He fixed my Audi several times now. He has worked with me on payments and recommended what needs fixing now and what can wait. Anyone with a german car needs to go see Mike for any repairs. Mike is the best German car mechanic you will find without having to fly to Germany! My two Beemers had been well cared for back there, until I came back here to the States. The greedy shyster dealers have caused more problems than they fixed, charged way too much, and provided few if any real solutions.
