What can I say? [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great spot to watch the o's game AND celebrate St. Patty's day on a Tuesday![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. The service was smooth and organized. My crew and I loved the 2 pound pretzel! And I really enjoyed trying the non-alcohol fruity-sour beer :3

Love this place so much! Great food, variety of crushes for $6! The key lime is my favorite. Food is always good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of fun especially at night, they usually have a DJ weekends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is also really great... Many bartenders and servers working together making sure you're happy :)

I've been coming to Das Bierhalle for the past four years . Hard to believe that the food and service has gotten better and better. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great neighborhood joint to stop by for a cold one and a great Sandwich or Pretzel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tell them Micah sent you

We were in Towson and decided to look for nearby places to grab a drink and some food. This spot wasn't too far so we decided to check it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty packed, especially for a Monday, but we were able to find seats at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have table seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We chose to share a chopped cheese. Servers were friendly and took good care of everyone despite the volume of people. The chopped cheese was pretty good. The meat was nicely seasoned. It was a bit messy to eat, but not unusual for a chopped cheese! Neither of us cared for the chips. I like Old Bay, but it was just way too much for my taste causing the chips to just be overly salty for our preference. Next time I'd sub in a different side. The menu had lots of yummy sounding items to try. There is a large beer selection and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd definitely come back again if in the area!

Das Bierhalle is always a good time -- an American-German bar with great food, friendly service, and Happy Hour every day! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is fun and lively, perfect for after-work drinks or weekend hangouts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They serve all the classics, but their specialty is Baltimore's favorite -- the Crush. Fresh, strong, and made just right every time. If you're looking for chill energy, great drinks, and daily deals, Das Bierhalle never disappoints.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]For starters, the decor is very authentic feeling. Reminiscent of the Hofbrau Haus locations I've visited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is minimal with only a few apparent spaces. We were seated immediately, and our server was on the spot taking our orders. Our food came out quickly, and was cooked exactly as ordered. My schnitzel was excellent, and was full of flavor. The spatzle was just the right temperature and texture. I was glad I asked for a double order. My SO got the Chesapeake schnitzel which is a non-traditional chicken schnitzel, and she was quite impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only downside is that the restaurant is VERY loud, to the point that I needed earplugs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll definitely be back for more schnitzel, sausages, and beer, as their beer selections are almost limitless.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What an awesome little beer hall we happened upon while visiting a dog friendly event in their parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]These guys had ample seating inside, but also a covered patio for those with furry friends with them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We managed to snag 2 seats and even though they were swamped our servers took good care of us and our pups. I enjoyed a nice half liter of a mango crush - worth trying for sure. The food was actually the only bit of let down. My schnitzel was kinda dry and stale, the breading on it was bland as well. The spaetzle I got as a side was also not very flavorful. I did actually enjoy my bf's veggie schnitzel and sides more ironically. I just wish the food was a little better tasting- all else was great about this place.

Still like Das Barn, but I digress. Been wanting to visit Das Bierhalle for some time and my son and I picked this one for dinner the other night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance like the local bar with Oktoberfest posters on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating is a little challenging for the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quite good. Dozens of das bier on tap. My choice was a half liter mug of Monumental Rooftop Orange Crush. Waited asked if I tried it. Haven't but I'm familiar with Monumental's craft and like it. Still the waiter brought a sample. Yum. Hints of citrus and tasty. Entrees consisted of German Style Meatloaf and the house's Chicken Chesapeake: essentially chicken schnitzel topped with crab dip in a bed of spaetzle, which is a little like Mac and cheese made with egg noodles. Very tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The house filled while we enjoyed the meals and at nine pm the house pumped up the jams and it was a little loud for conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good food, bier und service made our first time visit to Das Barnhalle a good one.

Service: 1 star Food: 2 stars [[HIGHLIGHT]]No nice decor... just a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do not recommend going for food. It appears those who are drinking may not be bothered by the food. I ordered the fruity pebbles french toast. It is not something I would ever order again. Food was barely warm, but looked very nice on the plate . Someone who was not drinking an alcoholic beverage signed up for the $20 buffet and said the food was 1 star, everything was barely warm. I was there over a hour and did not see one staff member refill the buffet. A lady was there 30min before me and stayed until I got my check. She also did not see the buffet get refilled. So that food was definitely sitting there for at least 2.5 hours or longer. I She showed me how the pancakes couldn't even be cut lol so she had to fold it and dip it in the syrup The staff is scattered everywhere and always back and forth in an unorganized kind of way. It was a challenge getting service sitting at Bar. It is a big no for me... will not return.

Every time I come to Das, I wonder why I don't come more often. This has been my once a year Oktoberfest spot for the last 2 years, but the happy hour specials are so good that we definitely plan on coming more often. Their beer selection is incredible, and $10/liter on happy hour is pretty great. Nothing like drinking out of a giant stein to get you in the Oktoberfest mood!! We also had their crab pretzel and a corn dog. The pretzel was HUGE and the corn dog was standard bar fare. Their menu is extensive and has so many great looking options. I will say, service was a bit slow and I definitely recommend making a reservation if you're coming around dinner time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated at a large table that had a reservation on one half and I don't think they appreciated us sharing the table with them... but that's what the true Oktoberfest experience is all about![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prost!

It's loud and a dive in the best way. People obviously love this place, I know I do. I'm not into the loud but the food is soooo worth it and the servers are pretty cool too. Also has sports on multiple televisions. I haven't even tried enough of the sauces but one day. The nacho cheese sauce is really good with a strong kick, beer cheese is good too. The pretzel is fresh and delicious. Soft perfect bites. I didn't think I would but I loved the sauerkraut balls which were deep fried mashed potatoes and sauerkraut with a side of delicious ranch. The wings were great, my only suggestion more buffalo sauce. I will say my husband thought the Reuben was just ok. I will admit on looks alone the meat didn't look great. The chicken schnitzel Chesapeake was one of the best chicken Chesapeake renditions I have had. The fries are deceiving because they look mediocre but are really good.

This little store on Columbia Pike functions as a German specialty grocer, deli and sandwich counter. Our focus today was the sandwich counter. One important thing to know is there is no seating of any kind. You will be taking your sandwiches to go. (My suggestion: get a few slices of butter kaese at the deli counter and munch on these on the car ride home. Then enjoy your sandwiches in peace at your abode.) They do offer napkins and plastic silverware if needed. The sandwiches are freshly made to order. You take a number and a deli employee will assist you. They have numerous types of bratwurst to choose from. Additionally a number of German cold cuts. We ordered a Nurnberger bratwurst and the Tyrolean hot sandwich. The breads for both were very fresh and the sandwiches tasty. The mustard on the bratwurst was full of good horseradish! The Tyrolean was moist with a good combination of tender meat and sauce. The bread was a nice mild rye - it was a two hander sandwich! We were both full having eaten these delicious sandwiches. The deli employees were all friendly and efficient. Prices were very reasonable. We would definitely return.

Hi everyone, just wanted to leave a review of German Gourmet on Columbia Pike…read more Before I begin, I want to identify what the ingredients are for a classic Reuben. You'll need two slices of seeded or marble rye bread, about six ounces of thinly sliced corned beef or pastrami, two slices of sharp Swiss cheese, roughly a quarter cup of well-drained sauerkraut, and two tablespoons of Russian or Thousand Island dressing. A little butter for toasting the bread and optional spicy brown mustard round it out. That said, what I actually received was the absolute worst Reuben I've ever had in my entire life. They used ham instead of corned beef or pastrami, an insult to the name. The Swiss was bland and low-quality, not sharp at all. There was no mustard, barely any Thousand Island, and I couldn't even detect any sauerkraut. The bread wasn't toasted, and they still charged me $12.50 with tax. If this is what passes for a Reuben at a supposed German delicatessen, save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing.

The beverage menu is extensive with an impressive variety of beers. I selected the Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Doppleboch - a "lightly oak smoked and malty amber lager." The food selection - appetizers, salads, soups, and entrees is an authentic German selection. I choose the sauerbraten with two sides - spatzle with cheese and potato dumplings with the sauerbraten gravy. The meal came out in short order after the beer. The meal was very good. The beef was a bit tough and the gravy was a bit sweet. Overall it seemed to not have been vinegar marinated for a week, although when asked, the kitchen stated they marinate in vinegar for a week. The potatoes dumpling with Sara gravy tasted authentic. The sparkle with garlic cheese was very good - some of the best I've ever had. I ordered German chocolate cake with a cup of regular coffee. It was a quite excellent slice of cake! The restaurant is very clean throughout. I would recommend it in this neck of the woods; while if in DC, consider going to Old Europe restaurant on Wisconsin Ave as another authentic alternative.
