Very nice spot on Harford Road about halfway between the Hamilton and Lauraville neighborhoods. Alexander's has a full bar with a well-considered list of local and national brews. The menu is basically pub food and a variety of selections for most any taste. The interior is spacious and noise levels didn't seem to be a problem when I visited. I sat at the bar and service was very quick and friendly. There is also an outdoor seating area in front, which I look forward to enjoying on a future visit. Note that parking can be a little tricky since the restaurant sits on busy Harford Road and abuts a residential neighborhood with somewhat narrow streets. Definitely worth checking out if you're visiting northeast Baltimore.

I stopped by Alexander's Tavern for a quick solo lunch date after finding it on Yelp. The reviews looked promising, so I decided to give it a try. I went on a Tuesday and luckily caught their daily special--half-priced tots and $10 martinis. It was also Happy Hour when I arrived, which was a nice bonus. Heads up: Yelp and Apple Maps still say they open at 11:30 AM, but they've since changed their hours and now open at 3 PM Monday through Wednesday. I wasn't aware of the update, so it was pure luck that I arrived close to 3pm and not earlier like I originally planned. The place was pretty quiet--just me and a few other patrons since they had just opened. I ordered the Maryland Crab Tots, Fried Cheese Curds, and for my entrée, the Chicken Caesar Wrap with Crispy Buffalo Chicken. I also had a Lemon Drop Martini. Everything I tried was really good--great flavors and solid portions. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars because while the food was great, the service was just okay, and the parking situation isn't ideal. There's no dedicated lot, so you'll need to find street parking or risk a nearby lot with towing signs (I took the risk and lived to tell the tale lol). Overall, I'd definitely go back. Just check their website to know the updated hours!

Super friendly staff, great food, great drinks! We come once or twice each week. We have also done carry out and everything was fresh and hot when we arrived back home. Highly recommend!

They accepted our reservations for Christmas Eve and when we arrived there was a note taped to the door stating they were closed.

I'm not sure I even know where to start. Me and my best friend rolled up (without reservations -…read moreoops) but were greeted and seated almost immediately. The area near the front window almost feels like a private table. It was definitely giving a great vibe. We checked the menu prior to picking this place and they had EXACTLY what I wanted. I had a big ole brunch of their Grand Marnier Strawberry French Toast which was a three stack of THICCCCC cut Texas bread. It was better than I hoped for! And I brought at least half of it home, because ole greedy butt over here also got the platter with the home fries (I asked for onions and got this caramelized onion topping that was almost a jam. Yummm), the bacon and the eggs your way (scrambled with cheese). My companion had this big ole omelette with a lot of veggies and shared my french toast. The sauce they served with the home fries was sooooo good - it was almost like Heinz 57 sauce but with less of a vinegary bite. The jam that came for my English Muffin was delicious and praise GOD they served butter that wasn't ice cold and unspreadable so yeah hella points for that. For the mimosas, we did the "buy the carafe and the bottle", with a carafe of cranberry juice and a bottle of Cava Prosecco. I loved that we were able to select WHICH bubbles we wanted and for two people it worked out very well price wise. The host (tall guy with a mohawk) and our server (Robyn) were absolutely fantastic. Personable and friendly and very attentive, very much able to answer any questions we had (THANK YOU ROBYN!!!). In short - this place is a gem and yall should go! Be mindful of the parking in the area, but dont let that stop you from a delicious meal in a lovely setting!!

This is easily one of my top breakfast spots--the pancakes and the blueberry French toast are insane. Like, OMG I want to go get some now! Lol. If you're looking for a fun brunch with 70's music, good vibes, and good people, this is the place. Just a heads up: the space is small and the bar isn't always open, so I highly recommend making reservations. Great food, great energy, great brunch experience.

Koco's pub came on a strong recommendation for some friends; so I was excited to check them out on…read morea Friday evening. The bar is very vibrant and full of energy and color; they definitely nailed the aesthetic of walking into a beach front bar. Outside of the color and decor, I'd consider this a pretty 'no frills' bar. Definitely not a dive - but a very casual, come as you are kind of spot. Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of crab, so I didn't try their famous crabcakes. I had a few other dishes including their fried fish platter, jerk wings, and honey old bay wings. All the food was solid, not amazing, but good. My dad and brother both really enjoyed their crabcake entrees - so that's what you should be ordering if you pay Koco's a visit. Our server was really great; she was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and fast. She even told us the story of how the bar took on the name 'Koco's'; got to love little connection moments like that. As a con, the kitchen did close at 9ish that Friday so definitely plan to get here on the earlier side if you're looking for a meal. The bar did stay open later than 9p, but most guests and the staff cleaning crew were shutting things down around then. I think it would have felt a little awkward to stay past 9ish. Overall I had a good experience; I'd gladly go back if invited but wouldn't plan a trip here myself. Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time, especially on weekends. They are well known for those crabcakes and it can get pretty crowded.
