Loved our wedding cake! It was even more beautiful than we expected and the cake tasted great! Very easy to work with!

Incredible cake for our retirement celebration! The taste was amazing and they had the greatest flavors to choose from! Incredible family with over 40 years of experience. They made the occasion very special. Thank you for making our day the best! The VV family

Blew us out of the water this weekend with this cake and I had to share. My daughters friends mom's thought I made it, god bless them! This cake was $66 and fed a herd of kids. You will not find a better deal, a better group of people, a better cake anywhere around than Das Meyer. When I went to pick up the cake last weekend during the snow storm, they were PACKED and I was 8th in line. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know.

Huge portions, good prices, delicious treats. My dad had me make a special trip to get pastries. Friendly service. Quaint shop in Arvada. Cute little bridge to get in, gorgeous stain glass and cake samples.

Purchased a Boston Cream Chocolate cake with lettering yesterday for my mother's 89th birthday celebration. The cake was beautifully decorated; however, it was dry, stale and uneatable. Our family has always enjoyed cakes from this bakery in the past, what an absolute disappointment this was. When you make a purchase from a pricey "Fine Pastry Chalet" you should have a reasonable expectation that the product will be at least fresh if not both fresh and delicious. Sadly, this was not our experience and therefore we will no longer recommend nor patronize this bakery. Das Meyer's management should seriously review and correct their food holding practices.

I have fallen in love with Das Meyer. After going to a couple of, for lack of a better word, intense wedding cake tastings, Das Meyer was a breath of fresh air. Their cake tasting process is so easy, you ask for a slot in a Saturday tasting, show up with $20 and taste away. They make it as minimally overwhelming as possible by bringing you a few flavors at a time and not making you taste every single flavor they offer, just the ones you're interested in. This brings me to the cake. It's fabulous. The wedding cake flavor was something we weren't finding at other bakeries but Das Meyer NAILED it. The other flavors are also divine. We ended up getting almond silk (wedding cake flavor), chocolate Carmel, and cookies and cream for our wedding cake. They decorated our cake to perfection, exactly like the photos I showed them. And what I was really impressed by was that when we came to taste and talk about our cake, they gave us an accurate quote right down to the penny including tax and delivery fee and every single thing we were going to be charged for. So straight forward, I love it! You can tell they really know what they're doing, they have beautiful wedding cakes, plus thank you notes with pictures of cakes all over the bakery. The ambiance is also perfect. You feel like you're walking back in time when you step through the door, in the best way. We have made a habit of visiting for a delicious (and very nicely priced) breakfast pastry from time to time because I love going there so much! Forgive the gushing but after going to a couple different places, Das Meyer made me feel like Goldie Locks and I had found the wedding cake bakery that was just right for me, it's so nice when wedding vendors click that easily. Thank you so much, Das Meyer, you've got yourselves a new regular!

My toddler decided five days before her birthday party that she wanted a "rainbow cake," and of course, Das Meyer came through big-time!

You are literally surrounded by wedding cakes!

The DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Mt Lookout Chapter celebrated with another tea held at Das Meyer on Saturday, March 22, 2024. It is the perfect place to gather and have tea and pastry. The staff will go out of their way to make every visit memorable whether to sit down in the bright tearoom with the pink lace curtains enjoying a special time with a friend or coming in to order a cake, petit fours, or beautiful cookies...the menu goes on & on! There are many people who come regularly to buy their favorite items for their families and friends. Go and enjoy making sure you find out all the items they offer! The buildings are located on a beautiful lot with flowers and trees abounding!

Ordered a cake for my husband's 40th birthday. It was ready on time and a huge hit. It was delicious and looked fabulous. Highly recommend!! The cake tasted super fresh and adults and kids loved it.

Das Meyers did a fabulous job on my granddaughter's cake! Taylor Swift cake was a winner! It was the best! A chocolate cake with layers of chocolate mousse. Everyone mentioned that it was the best cake they ever had. Thank you Dad Meyers!!

Das Meyer is just AMAZING ! They have done probably over 50 cakes for me and they never disappoint. The fact that they decorate beautifully and taste amazing is the best part. I love they are family owned . You guys are truly the best. The cake they did for my grandson today was over the top !

I've used Das Meyer to provide me with my niece's 1st and 2nd birthday cakes and let me tell you, they do not disappoint. They are absolutely stunning! I mean these pictures do not do then justice! Also, the pastries and goodies that they have are incredible. Don't know what to get? Try the raspberry cheesecake bar and the ham, cheese, and mushroom stuffed croissant pocket.

Pleasantly pleased with the quality and flavor of the cake a family member ordered from here!! Also they did a superb job on decoration for a small baby shower we were hosting. We had the strawberry champagne and it was so moist and the sponge was light. I am having a slice for breakfast now.

The cake was the perfect level of sweetness and packed with flavor from carrots, walnuts, raisins, and spices (and I'm sure much more). Usually I am not a big fan of layer cakes because of all of the icing but it was just enough, a great consistency, and completely complimented the flavor of the cake. I also loved the simple decorations on the top! A friend of mine picked up the cake and he and my boyfriend said that from start to finish Mark was great to work with. I should note that my boyfriend lives in Austin, TX so it means even more to me that the process went so smoothly. Thanks Meraki! I should also mention that after transportation to a few different locations and 3 days of sitting in my fridge, the cake is still sooo delicious! I took the inside cake picture after all of that too.

I love the concept of building your own cupcake cup essentially. Have never heard of this idea so had to try it. They have SO many topping choices that it took us a minute to decide. And lots of good cake flavors. I ended up getting a medium (which I would've been okay to have a mini). I got Funfetti cake (it was delicious). Creative Cakes I…read morefound Tasty Cakes on yelp while searching for a bakery to make my sons birthday cake. I was impressed with the work that was presented online and wanted to patronize her business. The communication between us was fairly good with the exception of a blip when there was a family emergency. Kellie was pretty nice throughout the entire process but I did feel a little like I was bothering her with questions. I figured since I paid her $115 for a 8 inch round cake, that it was okay to make sure it was being made the way I envisioned. At some point, I went to the baking section at Michael's and looked at an 8 inch pan and thought it was super tiny. I inquired about how much it would be to make it 12 inches. I've read that she charges by the slice but I was hoping that she could cut me a deal but it didn't happen. She just said that it added 'x' amount of slices and will be an additional $55. No worries, it's a business and I completely understand. My total tab on this cake was $170. We threw a few ideas around but I gave her complete freedom to do as she wished. I'm usually hands on with everything but thought it would be nice to just let an expert do their jig. When my babies big day came, the cake was nice. It was detailed and a lot of work was definitely put into it. It was just not my personal cup of tea. Nonetheless, it was a good center piece. I ordered a bubblegum cake and I wish I didn't. When I first discusses flavors I asked about bubblegum and Kellie said that kids like it. I wanted something different so I thought it was a good choice. I only cut 20% of the cake and not one person ate a complete slice. I threw a majority of the thing away the next day. I was a little disappointed. One kid asked me what flavor it was & I said, "bubblegum." In which he replied, "Oh yeah, it tastes like bubblegum...with puke in it." I'm not blaming Kellie for my flavor choice but I would have appreciated some honesty. I suggest sticking to a normal flavor. Besides the taste, the cake wasn't very moist. I believe she started to bake on Thursday for my Saturday night party since she emailed me on a Wednesday stating that she was going to get started the next day. I know the giant (Jack the Giant Slayer theme) on top of the cake was made later because the color was more vibrant and the texture was a lot better than the main cake. This is a "cottage food" business and I really wanted to love it with all my heart. I just feel that it was a little pricey for the overall experience I had. Given the type of home based business it is, I wish she could have worked out a deal with me for a bigger sized cake. I guess I just have a chip on my shoulder because I could have ordered an amazing half sheet of scrumptious Haupia or Hawaiian Paradise cake from the notorious Kings Hawaiian bakery for under $50 if I were still in California. Tasty Cakes Cakery is a great local choice if you have the money to drop on a custom cake. Kellie does great work. If I were to do it differently, I would choose a better flavor, draw out exactly how I wanted the cake to look & ask if she could bake the cake the day before. I would have loved to meet her in person but we did everything through email, postal service to send payment, and text. She also asked if it were possible to change my drop off time because her husband was playing a game someplace and wanted to watch it, which was okay with me. I was just in school at that time, so my husband was there to receive the cake without me. Anyway, sorry for the novel. I just wanted to share my experience with my yelp community. Check her out and decide for yourself :) Solid 2.5 Stars rounded up to 3 for an A-OK experience.

We finally decided to check out the shopping and dining district. Rheinlander was our final (and best!) stop. The bakery dates back to 1963 and is now on the third generation of ownership. The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available. There's nice outside seating if you can't wait to take your goodies home. It's a long drive for us, but we were really impressed and we'll find a reason to visit Arvada so we can stop back soon. Yum.
