Difficult to see what he was doing when we were at the other end of the counter. Better if the items were out of the way.

The experience was overall fun because of our group and not because of the chef. It was a great place to experience with a group of friends. The confections were creative and definitely fun to eat. The flavors were developed conceptually but some lacked in execution. For example, there was a dish that was strawberries and mint, but it wasn't bursting with those flavors. Everything is a bit subtle. The liquid nitrogen seemed to be the number one gimmick, and it was loads of fun. The Cheeto was especially cool, pun intended, and even though we were instructed to take little bites, which I definitely did, it still burned my tongue a bit. Several other people in the group experienced the same thing. There were no issues with any of the other frozen treats. We also had fun in the black light room with the cotton candy. There was a lot of laughter throughout the evening. The presentation overall was a bit lackluster. I felt like he was just reading off of slides and the energy was tired and irritable. I felt like he didn't really want to present or be there--like he'd done this 1000 times and hates it. Maybe needs more of people person for presentation, plus it was hard for all of us to see what was happening because parts of the presentation took place at the end of a long counter. The last bit that knocked it down a star or two for me was all the dust. The place was super cool with artwork and displays, but it was so dusty. Even the water pitchers were near a grimy wall. And there was a very loud event going on next door but he kept the door open to the event so it was hard to hear the presentation at times due to the connected hallway. If it was cleaned up a bit, and the view for the presentation was better for all, if the chef wasn't so grumpy, I'd say it would be a 4 star place.

My son and his glowing cotton candy!!!

What an amazing event. Well worth the money. We had an amazing time. I would go and take others again. Also I messed up the date of my ticket and they were kind enough to squeeze us in on a full house. Giving my son and nephew a truly great experience. Make sure you book ahead it's well worth it.

This place is awesome. It is a unique hole in the wall candy shop that is not very big. It has an eclectic decoration style. They have a sore in Dubai as well. There is free parking in a garage just past it and there is also street parking available. Reservations are required to take the tour here, which lasts about 30 minutes, with about 10 minutes of shopping at the end. My tour was ran by the Chef Ian Kleinman. The tour is called Sugar Science and Chef Ian demonstrated making ice cream and other treats with liquid nitrogen. Some of the treats that I got to experience were glow in the dark cotton candy, freeze dried Jolly Ranchers, dipn dots ice cream, cracker jack space foam, and you choice of one of him imaginative sundaes. The tour starts off with a liquid nitrogen presentation and in addition to making Willy Wonka inspired treats, he provides a bit of a history lesson. I found the Tesla (the inventor, not the car) story very interesting. Chef Ian was very nice, welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. I really enjoyed the tour. I wish that my kids would have been able to see it. This tour is fun for all ages though. I am glad that I made it here. I like it so much that I purchased some of the imaginative candy to take home with me including freeze dried honeycomb and freeze dried Jolly Ranchers. Chef Ian knew that I was flying and packaged may candy up very securely for the road. I highly, highly recommend checking this place out and would love to see more. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

We just finished at this place and wow! We absolutely had a blast! The owner is super fun and entertaining and also extremely efficient! We loved the different tastings and ice cream at the end! We ended up buying edible wall paper that tastes like the different fruits! The prices are really affordable and we will definitely be back! The decor is super cute and fun to look at as well!

Very cool and whimsical experience trying some unique treats! Our favorite dessert sampled was the dippin dots! The cotton candy we got to sample was also very good. Bought a few lollipops and the smores marshmallow at the end to support the business, weren't huge fans of either but still a 5/5 time!

What a fun and tasty experience. Loved the science as well as the yummy treats we got to sample. The treats were planned so there was a lot of Colorado connections which I thought was a nice idea. Nicole was an excellent chef. Actually we did try several items. Started with Colorado beet sugar caramel popcorn covered in sugar beet syrup. Other treats were the root beer float space foam, donut bread pudding, jolly rancher flavored dipping dots, peach marshmallow. Oh I can't forget to mention the cosmic cotton candy! It was really fun. We went into a glow room and were given glow in the dark cotton candy. So fun. We finished with our choice of 3 different sundaes made with ice cream - made with liquid nitrogen of course! None of the treats were especially large but given that we were trying several items that is a good thing. I highly recommend this event.

Really cool dessert experience! Highly recommend signing up for their emails and buying tickets to the Sugar Science experience! We loved the "Mexican" and the "Banana" ice creams at the end. Super interesting place as they made the edible paper for Willy Wonka! I will say though it did seem very very rushed and just like normal treats but dipped in liquid nitrogen nothing too fancy. We thought there would be more to it honestly.

    Yum!

Surprise dessert while visiting Denver. What a cool experience combining science and sugar!!! Need to bring the grandkids for sure! Entertaining and tasty!

What a fun place for special occasions or just for some science, dessert and fun! You do have to reserve tickets online and quickly sell out, so don't miss out. It is quite experience with a show, fun candy, and an ice cream dessert at the end for everyone. The vibe is very Willy Wonka-esk with a mix of science. It is great for adults and children.

Such a fun experience! Brought the family here for our 3 years olds bday bc he loves sugar. Loved that we got to sample 5-6 items and make some great family memories. The ice cream sundaes and the peach marshmallows were my favorite!

I tried them last month and everything we had was straight-up outstanding. Heads up: they do sell out, so make sure to pre-order at bayouboys.com! What we tried: Hot Boiled Louisiana Crawfish - Spicy, flavorful, and seasoned until the spirits say, "dats enuff." Served with corn, potatoes, and sausage. Hot Louisiana Boudin - If you know, you know. If you don't... Google it. You won't regret it. Jambalaya - Just like their mama made it, in a pot their grandpa used while helping build the Causeway across Lake Pontchartrain. It's giving flavor and history. Best bite: Crawfish has never been my go-to, but if all crawfish tasted like this, it might be. Spicy, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. And don't get me started on the corn because I'd take a whole plate of just that. The jambalaya also hit the spot (it's my NoLa fave), and for the record... I had my first and last pickle shot. Never again. So here's your weekend plan: treat your mom to a few pounds of crawfish and thank me later.

The day of the party, after I called several times, they finally contacted us 30 minutes before the event to say they weren't coming. We were told they had simply forgotten about our event. What's most disappointing is what happened afterward: nothing. No follow-up call, no meaningful apology, and no effort to make it right after leaving us scrambling to feed 100 people with 30 minutes' notice. Mistakes happen. Forgetting a confirmed catering event is a serious one. But failing to take any responsibility afterward is what made this experience particularly unacceptable.

TLDR: Unprofessional, not very gracious with mistakes and disorganized in the proposal process…read more I reached out to TBD Foods in the last week of September 2025 for a wedding in Denver in August 2026 after working with him in 2018. I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

A seafood boil, with added clams & lobster, was the chosen hit for the birthday guy! Holly & Chef Terrence were very accommodating with special requests. (NOTE: adding lobsters -- may want to request TBD to pre-cut tails and mallet-crush claws for easier eating.) Guests mistakenly ate a special brownie-stacked birthday cake before the presentation, but Chef Terrence jumped in, salvaged, and created a 'deconstructed' cake with candles that served and entertained us well! Big thanks to Holly & Chef Terrence, owners of TBD, and event staff. You're wonderful small business purveyors who work hard and deliver a memorable culinary experience. Continued success!

Don't order the Chicken Sausage if you're picky. *** Came here on a Saturday visit to Denver around 11am for brunch. I'd recommend making a reservation. Service was spectacular. The hosts were friendly and our server was extremely helpful and made excellent recommendations. We were seated upstairs. It was 100 degrees outside so naturally we were a bit warm up there, but it wasn't unbearable. Casual vibes here - jeans, shorts, tshirts throughout. We ordered Elderflower Spritz's to start. They were absolutely delightful. Light and very refreshing. We also had their seasonal specialty Cashew Queso. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The cashew flavor wasn't overwhelming, it more so added a lovely bit of creaminess to the delicious homemade queso dip. We also shared the Carrot Cake French Toast. I truly have no words for how spectacular this dish was. I'll be fantasizing about it for the rest of my days. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft, rich, and cakey on the inside - paired with a scoop of some sort of fantastic whipped cream cheese *chefs kiss* Highly recommend getting this to share. If you're bold enough to order it as your entree, be prepared to take a nap shortly afterwards. I also ordered the "Make Your Own Breakfast" with cheddar cheese scrambled eggs and a side of avocado & home fries. It was all amazing. The portion wasn't overbearing but with the 2 appetizers we had - everyone at the table left happy. One thing to note: someone in my party ordered the Chicken Sausage and said they'd definitely get the bacon next time. So if you're picky about your sausage, try the bacon or avocado instead. Overall 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

We were seated early and the music was deafening already. Just blasting out of multiple speakers. Then as the restaurant filled up, and everyone started yelling at their tablemates, it was just too loud to enjoy the rest of the meal. Hard floors, no soundproofing and a room full of people enjoying themselves makes for a very loud atmosphere.

He and his whole staff were engaged, checking in, and even the chefs were bringing us our plates right to our table! Absolutely just one of the best experiences as we order the "Walk With Us" for 2. Walk with us: 5/5 Banchan style servings or tapas as I'm so used to... are ways of giving you the chefs vision of a story they want to paint with food. A taste so unique that I will say... only gets better as you keep going down this experience. Starters throughout the experience have so much flavor and textures that complement each other. The entrees... they get so much better.... Short rib Wagyu galbi that's so scrumptious and a Korean fried chicken that's crispy as can be with a perfectly cooked chicken through and through that's moist and just the perfect definition of a k-fried chicken!
