I was having a sewage backup. First, these techs are not plumbers. That being said, they are fairly prompt. The tech I had checked the clean out and said it was clear to the septic tank. He suggested I call a plumber He was onsite a fairly short time and charged $125 instead of the usual $350. I did get a plumber who fixed the problem.The line the tech checked was completely clogged and the septic was full after only a year between sewage removals due to a quiet constantly running toilet. I had a clog in my bath tub. Called dash drains they came first thing in the morning. Worker was in my home maybe 5 minutes. He told me that he could not open my overflow. That the screws were stuck, likely too small and threading was screwed up. He recommended that I call a plumber and that the plumber might be able to use a drill to get the screws out. Called another company who came out a few hours later. Worker for other company took a pair of pliers and had the screws off in minutes. BEST $195 I've ever spent. It was not a fun job. My kitchen sink drain was blocked badly. It required 2 snaking machines and a wet vac, and it started smelling bad at some point during the process. I have had recurring problems with tree roots in my sewer drain. Called Dash Drains after another sewer drain clog resulted in water backing up into my basement. Carl and Mark were outstanding. I called DD at 8:03am, Got the call center, They dispatched someone to call me, By 8:19 someone called and said they would be over between 10-12. Carl got here around 11ish. Our kitchen sink suddenly clogged tight. For a week we tried fixing it ourselves to avoid paying a plumber. Plunging, chemicals, a cheap snake. Nothing helped. As my washing machine drained on Sunday afternoon, the standpipe turned into a veritable fountain with water going everywhere. My husband tried snaking it and thought he had broken up the clog. It's not fun to wake up on a beautiful Sunday and see water in the kitchen sink. I tried plunging, and then went to the basement to do laundry, where I saw water all over the floor. After researching and asking the neighbours, I called Dash Drains and Colton called back within minutes. He came out and assessed the issue, which is that the pump is not working, and he recommended a guy to fix it. Best of all, no charge for his assessment! I scheduled with Chris to clear a drain in our kitchen sink; an appointment was made for the following morning between 9-11. At 10:40 I called to check progress as I hadn't heard from anyone. Chris apologized, noting that the first appointments of the day all turned out to be difficult and all the techs were running late. He said I was next on the list as soon as a tech freed up. Okay, I get it ...these things happen. Note Chris was very sincere and I felt he was speaking to me honestly (when I asked for an estimate on timing, he regretfully said he couldn't offer one ...I appreciated him not placating me). I got a call from Holly at 11:10 noting that their technician Bob would be there "any minute." At 11:40 still no Bob, so I called back. Holly said she didn't know but would check and get back to me. She called me back 10 minutes later saying that she didn't realize Bob was coming from Boston, as was "...just now getting off 93; he'll be there any minute." I live in N. Andover, and easy 15 minutes from the highway ...so Holly's comment -- while surely intended to make me feel better -- was by definition inaccurate. In my two calls with Holly, I felt I was being talked down to and getting stock answers ("any minute"). She was pleasant enough, but the conversations felt plastic: unlike my experience with Chris, she didn't seem sincere. Bob arrived a couple minutes past noon. A very nice young man, he immediately apologized for the delay citing traffic in Boston. He listened to my brief description of the problem and gave me his diagnosis in a few simple sentences. He then went to work. As he worked, I sat at the table drafting this review. He offered occasional commentary on his progress, and even when he seemed doubtful his comments were calm and optimistic. Bob finished up his snaking at 12:40 with the simple pronouncement: "you are clear, sir!" A simple job done efficiently by a pleasant and polite technician. He took the time to clean up after himself carefully and completely. I'm happy with the results of the work, the cost ($145 for a kitchen sink drain) and the way the tech and Chris handled themselves. I highly recommend Dash Drains . I was concerned that I might have a sewer line issue due to a sinkhole that appeared in my driveway in an area that I thought was very close to drain pipe . I called 2 other companies before calling Dash . First guy was a no show (I waited all day ) and second guy couldn't get the camera down the 2 in drain . Dash Drain came out on time , had the mini cam that was needed, gave me a full and detailed explanation of what we were looking at while he was doing the video inspection , cleaned up (Windex and all ) the area when finished and charged 100.00 less that what the previous 2 guys quoted.
