Everyone should know about DASHA and the good people there. They can help you! I have been a patient of Dr. Pollack and Dr. Curtis for several months. I came to them because I was suffering pain due to herniated discs in my cervical spine. These discs pinched a nerve in my neck and the pain was so debilitating, I was out of work for two months. After seeing other chiropractors and physical therapists, a friend recommended DASHA to me and I'm very glad that I scheduled a consultation. Upon my first visit, I immediately noted that the office and treatment rooms were clean, well maintained and welcoming. Front desk staff was friendly and attentive and I did not have to wait at all before I was called in. The doctor listened carefully to me about my condition and asked questions about my pain and my range of motion. He assured me that he and his staff would do everything they could to make my neck and upper back stronger and more flexible. Since that visit I have been going to treatments at DASHA once or twice a week for almost 6 months. My job is very physically demanding which makes the healing process slower, but, since I've been attending regular treatments, I am back at work and able to do my job with no limitations. I've kept attending in order to maintain the progress that I've made, continue to heal and get stronger, and to prevent any regression. During a typical visit, I receive heat and electrical stimulation for about 10 minutes, followed by soft tissue massage and a chiropractic session. Drs. Pollack and Curtis are both familiar with my case and have a wide range of techniques and strategies that they use to treat my issues, such as graston, active muscle release, spinal adjustments, etc. They always explain how these treatments work and why they would be beneficial. They always ask questions and follow up with you about the effectiveness of the last visit's treatment and are more than willing to tailor each appointment to what you feel is working best for you. After chiro, I do 30 min of physical therapy. Conveniently, there is a gym and exercise equipment on site. I have gotten a lot of positive results from my PT sessions. Eric, my physical therapist, always listens carefully to me about what I am experiencing and how I am responding to treatment. When I first came to him, I was so inflamed that we spent most of the time doing stretches and hands on manipulation. As I have progressed, PT sessions have become more intense, incorporating more active strengthening and stability exercises. Eric has also set me up with several routines that I can do at home to promote healing and strengthening between office visits. I've even emailed him with questions and updates regarding what's working and what isn't. He's always gotten back to me promptly. The attentiveness, professionalism, and willingness to listen that he and the doctors demonstrate are valuable to me and are truly appreciated. Regarding billing, DASHA is out of my insurance network. Initially, I thought that I would have to go for treatment elsewhere, but Dr. Pollack and the billing department worked with me and set me up with a plan that is VERY affordable given the amount of treatment you get in a session. Considering that my last PT appointment at a different office cost me $150 out of pocket for 30min, I am very pleased with what I pay now. Dr. Pollack and his staff are honest, true professionals that are focused on you, the patient, and on helping you heal and return to a peaceful, pain-free life. Hands down they are the best. I've been going there for the past 2 years and have helped me in so many ways. I'm an olympic power lifter and have had issues with my knees, shoulders, neck and lower back, and everywhere else in between. Dr Pollack truly understands my pain and the style of how I train. He's all about improving my form and technique as well as terminating my pain. He always takes his time to address all of my issues whether they are existing chronic ones or new ones that just popped up. The BEST muscle rehab and wellness facility in Midtown.. I went to Dasha a year ago to resolve lower back pain after my second pregnancy. They were so flexible with my schedule and set me up with Pilates, PT and chiropractic services. Each session is basically customized one on one treatment that is built especially to treat my specific ailments. Within weeks, my lower back pain disappeared and I felt stronger, straighter and less tense. I look like a Sports Illustrated model without all the gym fees!! These guys are all a team, they are experts in their field and are professional and friendly. I needed a lot of help and I feel so much better. I've been suffering from a serious bsck issue for years. I do crossfit on a regular basis for 4 years now. A buddy recommended I go see his chiropractor Dr P. Prior to going to him, I was afraid he would tell me to stop training because It would make my condition worse. It turns out he's an avid crossfit tee himself. He immediately started a process on figuring out what my issue was. While my treatments started he wanted me to stick with my training. I first came to DASHA with terrible back pain due to my desk job. Within a couple of weeks, I was feeling better and able to get back into my normal routine. Dr. Ryan is extremely pleasant and informative. He put me on a treatment plan based upon my injury as well as one that worked well for me. Being a little apprehensive about chiropractic care, I was quickly put at ease by the nature of the staff. I wish I could give 5 stars, however the time I requested on my lunch break was not available which was kind of annoying since I had to rearrange my schedule to get there.
