We were welcomed as soon as we entered and seated. Drink order placed and those came quickly. Food order was taken quickly and we had our food around 15 or 20 minutes from ordering. Not bad at all. I had the Deli Ciabatta - it had a lot of flavor and the homemade chips that came with it were very tasty! The other people in my party liked the Pot Roast Mac and the Sliders (minus onion) with a side of fries. The food and service were excellent. Dave & Amy's is always clean when we arrive. I don't think there has ever been a table that sit dirty there - they have a quick turnaround once a customer leaves. The website needs to be updated. The prices are not the same on the website as they are at the restaurant - everything is a few dollars more. Also, I went here for my free birthday meal (you have to go on your birthday). The website states I get up to $16.49 off my meal - the menu at the restaurant says $9.99. If they would update the website with correct menu, both the menu prices and birthday price would be updated and this would be a five star review! read more

I had such a great experience at Dave and Amy's! You can immediately tell it's under new ownership, the remodeling is beautiful. The space feels clean, bright, and really welcoming. The staff was super friendly, very accommodating, and made us feel welcome right away. We were there with friends and really just enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding across the board. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and everything we ordered was genuinely good. The salad bar was a standout, fresh, well-stocked, and honestly one of the best I've seen in a long time. We started with the potato skins and spinach dip, both were excellent. For entrees, the steak with blue cheese was absolutely delicious, and the hand-fried chicken was just as good. Every single dish was done really well, which doesn't always happen. Another bonus, it's a standalone building (not in a plaza), so parking is easy and convenient. You really can't beat this place. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, reliable spot with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. read more

Dave & Amy's used to be a go to spot for my husband I but not any longer with the new ownership! Where do I begin? We were greeted promptly and seated. Our waitress was bubbly however when we weren't ready to order after 60 seconds she left. Our menus were set aside and she walked by us 3 times without further acknowledgement. Finally she came back and took our orders. The experience continued downhill. We both ordered salads and after 10-15 minutes of waiting we had to call her back over to ask if we were going to get our salads. She said "oops I forgot" so 5 minutes later here comes with our salads and our meals all at the same time! The experience continues to go downhill. I ordered the famous chicken bowl. KFC serves a better bowl and for only $6.49 compared to $18.71. They made the bowl with mashed potatoes burnt from the bottom of the pan and popcorn chicken you could purchase in the frozen section at any grocery store. My husband ordered the grilled chicken tortellini. This used to be a favorite with the old owners. Instead the sloppy mess tasted like a birdseye frozen dinner meal served with thin frozen chicken. The last question was is bread served with our dinner. The answer was you have to ask and we don't have the brown bread. Quality of food and Service has gone in the toilet. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. We do not recommend. read more

A Tuesday evening and as expected it was nearly empty. Which is great...we will get our food quickly and we did! The portions were generous. Nothing exceptional just diner food. Server was pleasant but never identified herself. The place is freezing cold. Asked to move our seats to avoid the cold air blasting down on us. Server handed us wet menus. Yuck! We ordered and as I looked down at the carpet it was DIRTY with pieces of food (looked like fries). Bits of paper etc. The carpet definitely had a dirty path worn in it. They really need to give the place a good cleaning and remove all the clutter at the entrance. If the front of the house looks dirty I can't and don't want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. What a great place! Great food, great service and suggestions and enough variety to have several things sound good but still make a "perfect"choice. We'd missed lunch and arrived hungry in that lull time before dinner. Our server was nice, happy and energetic, we asked a few questions... "meatloaf looks good but maybe the rueben"... we selected: * Rueben with chips and cole slaw * Texas Hold'em burger with French fries Food arrived quickly, well cooked, fresh and hot. Extra details were fantastic- my burger had an onion ring on the burger, the bacon was extra long and the were perfect crisp not soggy. The burger was one of the best I've ever had: crisp lettuce, bbq sauce, cheese, perfect pickles and tomatoes and a fresh brioche bun. The Rueben was great - Swiss cheese, pastrami, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing on toasted rye- it is a classic sandwich- the chef got it "just right". It was a tasty well-prepared meal!! Just as we were half way, a group of 6 came in for a birthday party! They had the perfect long table for a group & and our server took great care of them as well! Wanted to thank everyone for such wonderful service. Our waiter Mark had great customer service skills. He was very helpful and friendly. It was my sister birthday and he was very helpful for information on food items. She order the ribs and they were delicious. We had fried pickles which were very tasty. Wife and I came here on 8/7 in the early afternoon. I had the salad bar, which it's pretty difficult to mess up a salad bar. It was good nonetheless; everything was cold. My wife had the Cesar salad and a bowl of what was to be loaded baked potato soup. The soup looked as if someone added water to it to make it more diluted. There were small chunks of potato and bacon, it tasted more like a bacon soup than anything. Word of advice: may want to use more thickener to your soup. When you make a house soup, you reserve a 1/4 of the potatoes for blending to help thicken it. Add some chicken stock; helps add body and flavor. And when it's put onto a spoon, it should hold itself and not drip off like water. Don't be afraid to season it. First time experience, may be the last. read more

The service was friendly and fast. The food was just OK, absolutely nothing special about it. In fact I did get a house salad with ranch and it was bottled ranch (I expected fresh), I also got the loaded baked potato soup and it tasted like clam chowder. Not to mention our salads were immediately followed by our appetizer that was immediately followed by our entrees (no time to eat anything before the next thing was on our table). we ordered the pear salad and Michigan cherry salad-- both came chicken. I noted there were other menu items where you could add chicken for an additional $4. We are vegetarians and do not eat any meat so we ordered our salads without the $4 chicken. The salads were very good. When the bill came, we were charged full price for the salads. The manager was called over to address our issue. he claimed that he could not charge for each itemized item on the salad so he could not take money off our meal. Yea, it was a total of $8, but the manager was rude and condescending about it. His argument was illogical. Nonetheless, we paid the bill and left knowing we would never return. It was very dry, and was not even warm. French onion, soup taste was OK but there was a hair in my soup. Vegetable stirfry had very scant vegetables in it and it was mostly rice. It was exceedingly salty. I could not even finish it. My friend did not enjoy her meatloaf either... she left 90% of it. To top it all off I do not feel that the restaurant was clean, which is very evident the minute you walk in because there was garbage on the floor. She even customized my drink so I could have cherry Pepsi. The food is usually excellent (although my pancakes were pretty dry - maybe not enough liquid in relation to the batter?) and came out quickly. read more

We came here for Father's Day; we're visiting my family! We thoroughly enjoyed the cherry greens salad and pear salad. Coconut shrimp appetizer was very good.
