This has been a new favorite spot! We recently moved to the area, and we stopped in on a whim. We sat outside, which was great with a 4 year old. We've since sat inside, as well, and love the dining experience with a child! I want to highlight how kid-friendly the menu is. It makes a difference! They have images for each part of the kids meal: entree, side, and drink. My son could order for himself because he knew exactly what was on the menu. It was also an opportunity for coloring and games! I've had the fish tacos for taco Tuesday (the sauce is incredible!), and I've tried the hummus appetizer, pizza, and salad. Everything we have had has been excellent. Really good pizza spot if that's your jam! Service has always been friendly, too. They go above and beyond, in my opinion. In a world of ever diminishing breweries, Kickstand has continuously held up its end providing great beer, delicious cocktails and an exceptional menu. One of the reasons I'm sure I've never ever seen it not busy. While I've always only sat at the bar, I can honestly say the service has always been top notch. This visit was our first time here. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety on the menu and quickly decided to get the fish tacos. My husband decided to get the sliders in pretzel buns. His sliders were good - he liked how the burger was not really thin like some sliders are at some places. The grilled onions were a great add for ver other sliders. The fish tacos had huge pieces of fish and topped with a cilantro chili sauce (didn't taste much cilantro and if you look at the picture I posted, it didn't really look like cilantro was even in the sauce - but it was very good). Bit of a mixed dining experience for me. My hamburger, which was well made, was a tad on the pedestrian side for me and really lacked the flavor pop I was looking for, possibly due to lack of seasoning on the burger. The fries on the other hand were well made with a crunchy texture and were very flavorful, just the way I like them. My drink which was a house Margarita was quite tasty in its own right but I thought a tad light on the tequila in my opinion. Staff was super friendly with good follow up and I enjoyed watching the Men's March Madness games at the bar which has an wrap around Overhead TV set up which offers a cool viewing site line and definately screams sports bar! Located in a very large stripmall. Inside is a dining area and large U bar in a slightly dim room. Staff is great, all the beers I had (in a tasting flight) were great. Really high quality. It does get a little loud because of the nature of the room, in particular there were two guys who were excited about repairing trucks, and loading them, and were also vulgar. Update to my review, The restaurant did have salmon sliders. It was part of the [chalkboard] special they had at one time. Maybe it's because it was a two back, but this was definitely something they had. I wasn't a fan of them. I went and tried their (beef) sliders and wasn't a fan either. Food: 4/5 (for one dish only) We got the margarita pizza and the chili lime steak tacos. Pizza was AMAZING. Totally worth the price! Fresh toppings and overall delicious! The crust has a nice flavor on it too, not your standard bland crust other places give you. My issue was the tacos. They came out cold, as did the rice. Obviously they sat waiting for our pizza to come out.. Flavors were okay. The chili-lime sauce on them was good and the steak was cooked nicely. The charred corn pico was good but didn't have as strong a flavor as I was expecting. The basmati rice was bland. Needs some sort of seasoning or sauce with it. The artisan lettuce was crisp and good. I personally won't be getting the tacos again but it's not like they were bad! Came in her for a couple drinks after the rain chased us out of the cider mill nearby. We ended up getting some food too (they had a great selection of "bar food" on the menu so we couldn't resist. We got some chicken tenders with some really tasty BBQ sauce. It was a bit spicy but still good. Since we're in the midst of fall at the time of me writing this, so many of us at the table got the pumpkin ale and other fall beers. They all tasted really good and had great fall-like flavors in brewed in them. The inside looked pretty roomy for large groups or just coming in for a drink or two. My go-to meal is a margarita and the Michigan Salad, as it's a no-fail choice in my book! They use an assorted mix of artisan lettuces, pickled red onion, dried cherries, Granny Smith apples, walnuts, cider vinaigrette, and blue cheese crumbles, which I always swap out for chèvre. It's the perfect size and we never have to take home leftovers! My husband usually opts for a wrap or sandwich, like the Chicken Caesar Naan. The warm puffy pita-like wrap with the addition of bacon takes the Caesar salad filling to a whole 'nother level! He LOVES it! In a strip mall which allowed for ample parking in well lit safe environment. Had some nice outdoor patio seating and inside nice bar and seating for large and small parties. Great place to watch sporting events with TVs everywhere to ensure you don't miss anything from multiple games. Service was great. The food and beer were better. Had the village pizza which has a basalmic glaze to provide just enough sweet to go with the savory meats on it. Mahi Mahi tacos were def the star of there menu though.
