I have been coming to D&B since it opened. I have enjoyed playing the ticket games over the years but most of the games I have mastered are gone. I have accumulated over 52k in tickets, so probably enough to get a coffee mug and vampire teeth for all 600+ Yelptastic friends. :) My latest game is the Wizard of Oz, which is one of those coin pushing games where it always appears that 50 coins are hanging on for dear life! I have completed a few sets of the cards and have 3 more sets that are missing Dorthy and the Wicked Witch! lol The other games are fun as well: Deal or no Deal, Wheel of Fortune, pop-shot, giant Pac Man. I just remembered a crazy night after an Avalanche win spending like 40k tickets on a 6ft Tweedy Bird and putting it in the backseat of a convertible Saab. Random, I know. I think we left it at Breakfast King, which is gone now. D&B also has good food and a few different areas to catch the big game on medium sized screens to ginormous sized screens. A big bonus is that a movie theater is right next door if you still have energy. I do miss the pool tables from many years ago but if they are not profitable then C'est-la-vie! We had a date night at Dave & Busters and came to play games! We purchased a smaller gaming package and we still were able to get several games in for an hour or so of play. There were a lot of fun game options for the night and the crowd was fun. The only downfall is that several of the games were broke or malfunctioned. To begin, let's differentiate between food and the experience. We arrived on a Tuesday or Wednesday - which meant all arcades games were half off. Yay! Unfortunately, we just missed the $5 (I believe it's $5) drink specials. Drinks have to be in the system to qualify. The food was very so-so. We ordered nachos, wings, burgers, and a steak and potato situation. For drinks: Long Island Ice Tea, Margaritas, and a Henny something or other. They do offer (what some would consider top shelf liquor) but it comes at a steep premium. Service was friendly and accommodating. The building was buzzing with teens, couples, and families. We had a lot of fun here with our friends. The good was good - we got wings cedar salad with chicken and fries. And some delicious cocktails. We did the eat and play deals which is pretty cool and saves some money. We went around and played some games, and this is where my only complaint would be. There were so many games with glitches while we played, or that simply didn't work at all, or where 3 out of 4 of us could play but one would fail. Basically needs a little TLC on the overall maintenance of the game area. But the place itself is clean and the people are all very nice and hardworking. It has been years since we came to the Dave and Buster's in Denver. We came on this occasion to watch the Denver Nuggets game in what we were hoping would be a watch-party like atmosphere. After asking the staff if they would have the game with sound on, they didn't hesitate to approach management about it, which we really appreciated. We were told that they would have the game on with sound since we requested it! They don't necessarily do this until the later rounds of the playoffs, so we were very grateful. Although it ended up being only a handful of people around us that were invested in the game, we really enjoyed watching it there. The food was surprisingly good. We did a eat and play combo, which is a fantastic deal compared to just paying the listed menu prices. We opted for the all-American smashed burger with upgraded GPT fries. The burger was cooked beautifully and the fries were delicious. Then for dessert we had the funnel cake fries which were great as well, especially the caramel sauce. I didn't get any food or drinks while I was here, so I can't speak on that, but I will say I was considering doing so but the prices were higher than I would want them do be which is the main reason I didn't order anything. The employees I interacted with were kind but definitely didn't really go out of their way to provide good service, and it seemed like they were more interested in upselling us than helping us find what we're looking for. This place is huge and has all kinds of games and activities so its very fun, but it was pretty messy and it didn't seem like employees were paying much attention to cleaning up after guests throughout the night. The prizes weren't great but the games were fun, this would be a good place to go to with young kids but even adults can most definitely have a good time. Overall: Was okay. Only came here as an impromptu activity. Fun for adults - just don't buy too many credits if this is not a regular thing for you. Arcade games: LOTS of arcade games to play. However, I noticed about 10-15% of the arcade games were completely out of order and another ~5% did not function as they should (i.e. too many or too little skee balls). Was surprised they didn't have pac man. Play credits & redemption: Recommended amount was a little too many for us as adults - spent $53 for two. We were done after a little more than an hour and we had to take 40 minutes to burn the remaining credits. Then, 15 minutes to choose our ticket prize and check out. Service: Average. Friendly and professional at the front desk, ticket redemption area, and the bar. Personal note: This is a me thing since I'm used to grocery stores offering hand sanitizer. However, for a high contact place, there were no hand sanitizers to be found throughout. Yes, there are bathrooms which I used twice but it felt gross in between. Place feels like it has no air conditioning and you will be sweating pretty good after a short period of time being there. Not very comfortable for a longer stay. Manager and photographer were not the nicest. When we first came in it was smiles and hospitality then when leaving we tried to communicate some issues there was with our bill and didn't get the warmest response from the manger and same from the photographer. Both just seemed annoyed by anything we said. Women's bathroom smelled terrible, the sink water was boiling, there was poop on a seat, and 3 out of the 4 towel dispensers weren't working. A lot of games malfunctioned or were out of order. Most of the food was okay, wings came out cold. The only reason I gave a 2 star was because the person helping us with the games that keep shutting down was so nice and our waitress did her best to help us with the billing issues. This visit I have to give props to the excellent customer service that I received on this visit. One of the young boys I had brought here kept dropping his game card as he was insistent on carrying it. He finally dropped it for the last time as someone picked it up and didn't notify us. I immediately found an employee that was walking the floor and I told him my dilemma. He instantly said follow me and we'll talk to my manager. All I needed was my receipt and the cards that we had and they were able to retrieve the credit off the lost card and put it on a new card. All in all as usual we had a good time. The boys I brought ranges from age 4, 6, and 10. Unfortunately there really wasn't much for a 4 yo there though he made the most of it hanging with his brothers. read more

To be honest, I had a fairly good experience up until we had a weird racist interaction from the staff. I was ordering a drink with my black friend and he did not like the way the drink tasted so he asked them to remake it. The bartender that made our drink, went up to her manager and said that he threatened to "beat her ass." We immediately denied this because he ordered a martini but they made us a cosmo. The manager approached us with another random person and mentioned to my friend what the bartender said. We immediately denied this because he did not like how the original drink tasted. So we politely ask them to remake the drink. Unfortunately, this escalated to a point where our entire group was kicked out by security staff and management. We spent over $1,500 at this establishment as a group. It was unfortunate that we experienced racism and got kicked out because of it. the bar staff was very nice and attentive, and there were hardworking game mechanics on the floor who had their work cut out for them. however, the biggest takeaway from the experience was the HEAT. the ac is evidently broken; it was hot and humid as all hell, especially considering how many people were there on a busy Saturday evening. they had some fans going, but they hardly made a difference; I swear it almost felt better stepping outside into the 95 degree day because at least there was a consistent breeze. by the time we did leave, both my bf and I were soaked in sweat--wet hair stuck to our foreheads and the backs of our necks, our shirts sticking to our chests and backs, and sweat rolling down our arms and legs the whole time we were playing games. if the HVAC system cannot keep the building at a safe temperature, I don't think the venue should be operating under these conditions. it was borderline inhabitable. if they think this is an acceptable experience for paying customers, it only makes you wonder what the poor staff is expected to put up with. I felt lightheaded and genuinely concerned that I was experiencing early signs of heat exhaustion as we were leaving after only an hour or two, which makes it concerning that staff is expected to work full shifts like this?! not to mention, charging full price for all the food, drinks, and games price despite such an uncomfortable, unpleasant, and borderline unsafe environment is certainly a choice...we definitely feel ripped off. read more

We went on Sunday and there were football games on every screen so that was great for my sports obsessed nephew. We We ordered the take it cheesy and crispy business sample boards and a side salad. I've been going to this location for over a decade and much more often recently since our son is old enough to run around. The staff almost always good, fast, and friendly. Food is normally made well though can vary on the options corporate pushes down to the menu. Whoever was in charge of the menu the last year or so opted for more health inspired food which we enjoyed and went often for. Seems the menu is trending back towards generic bar food which is a bummer. Games are still pretty fun with my kid so overall 3.3/5 since some games often broken. I got scammed and many machines broken at the area where you can get things for points had a sign that said $1= 60 credits and I gave them $10 and they only put 30 credits on it and didn't give me any more. My food was bone cold, and even though a manager did help to make it right, the food just isn't quality here. It's only worth about half of what you pay. The arcade was a disappointment too. Fun place to eat! Didn't play any games but came for happy hour (of course) before a movie. Service and food were both great and I love 1/2 price drinks! The dining area is huge and there are so many TV's for watching sports. Our server, Bryan, was excellent as was the bartender, Toni. I definitely did not experience any of the issues here that so many reviewers commented about in their reviews. Our teenager wanted to come here with a friend for his bday this weekend. We came pretty early so there wasn't a huge crowd. The lady at the reception area was super nice and friendly, very knowledgeable.. the price for the credits in the cards are definitely steep for the prizes one ultimately "wins" from the games. Kids go thru the credits fast, and the place sure does count on it. The interior was clean and there didn't seem to be any out of order games. The food was fine, we had a sampler and the kids ordered wings and Mac n cheese. Everything tasted good and came out hot n fresh. Our waiter was friendly, felt bad for him for a while as it got pretty busy and he was by himself. All in all it was a fine experience, albeit a pricey one. read more

DO NOT USE FHE KIOSKS TO LOAD CARDS!!! We went a few weeks ago and my card was skimmed using the kiosk. There used to be employees at a counter nearby to load cards but they are long gone. We let a manager know and the response was basically they try but can't always check. From now on, I will have staff load the cards. The games are pricey AF. The prizes are generally garbage. Yes, there is all this excitement and sounds like a casino but it's just hype. Now you can trade tickets for food which is good but when my kids went last Wednesday on 1/2 price game day, they were given conflicting information about how to get food. I'm surprised I was able to leave the bathroom considering the bottoms of my shoes stuck to floor with every move I took. The menu pages were stuck together with the same stickiness that was covering their bathroom floor because they haven't been wiped down since they opened. Service at the bar was a joke every bartender was rude. I would hate my life if I worked there too but blaming more of management staff for that one. I didn't have any silverware or napkins dropped off with my burger and fries but it's probably because they knew I wouldn't need it considering their food is INEDIBLE.
