My poor little 2014 Ford Focus couldn't outrun its famously troublesome transmission. I was quoted $9k to fix it which was more than I paid for the car 5 years ago in the first place, so decided not to move forward with the fix. That said the team here was so incredibly helpful and very kind. I especially liked that they sent me a link via text to a full written workup of everything they looked into with the car, it was even color coded to show what needed immediate attention and what I could theoretically wait to address. As someone with little to no experience with cars, they made it easy for me to understand what was wrong, and for me to share what they found with the people in my life who know more about cars than I do thanks to that digital documentation. I'm searching for a "new" used car now, and will definitely be bringing any potential cars to Ulmer's Loveland for a pre-purchase inspection. They have really earned my trust!

I needed someone who had the integrity and equipment and training to work on vehicles that I could no longer handle due to all the electronics. Jacobs was recommended to me and after a couple of visits I learned that I was getting thorough reviews and then some extra tips about what to watch out for in coming months. I have never been overcharged, I have always been treated fair, when problems came back (infrequent) they were handled without question (except helping to diagnose the issue at hand). When I need to get my car in for a repair I can always write a letter about what I need done, call the current owner Tom who maintains the integrity of Jacobs operation, and drop my cars off and the keys in the drop box. I could not be happier with their service they are a hidden treasure on the east side. I almost hate to put this in for fear of block myself out of service time. But Tom and his guys deserve all the credit. :)

Made appointment for a Wednesday morning. Dropped my car off the night before. Blower motor not…read moreworking, top radiator hose/connector was broke and oil change. Told them i think it might me a short somewhere in the wiring. Received excuses for 3 days, why they couldnt get started on my car. That friday, told them i needed my car, or i would need to take it elsewhere, as i had to work on Monday. Ended up getting a rental car/additional $200. Charged $1000 for so called repairs. 2 fuses replaced, radiator connection replaced, oil change complete. Brand new blower motor shorted out. Quoted additional $350 to replace blower motor. Didnt have money. Replaced it myself. 2 Days later, blower motor went out again. Called them, was told all wiring was checked. IT WAS NOT. Bring it back in. No thank you. Took it to Steves Car Care, by Buckwheat road. Wiring harness was bad, shorting out the resistor and new blower motor. Jocobs DID NOT offer anything to fix THEIR mistake. Cost me an additional $740.00. I do NOT recommend this place.

Wish I could leave zero stars…read more.. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. What should have been a routine oil change turned into a complete nightmare. Valvoline damaged my brother's car during a standard oil change, leaving him without transportation right before he needed to leave for an internship. We made it known from the beginning that he needed his car for transportation, and they assured us they would make it right. While they did provide a rental car initially, they are now demanding it be returned even though the entire situation was caused by their mistake. My brother is currently in Minnesota for his internship, and instead of making things right, Valvoline has refused to either ship his repaired vehicle to him or extend the rental until he has access to his car. They're expecting him to deal with the consequences of a problem they created! A simple oil change should never result in a damaged vehicle, weeks of inconvenience, and a customer being stranded hundreds of miles from home. The lack of accountability and customer service throughout this process has been incredibly frustrating. Please save yourself the headache and take your vehicle somewhere else!

BEWARE!!!! Just went to get our oil change and what a nightmare! First I am not one to complain…read moreor do a bad review as a business owner myself I know the importance of customer satisfaction and business reputation After taking the oil out of vehicle we sat for approximately 20 minutes while they tried to take the oil filter off. After numerous attempts they couldn't remove filter. The manager came and said they were going to refund us our oil change because they had already charged us. I said that's fine but I explained I noticed they extracted the oil and didn't see them refill. He assured me they did and he yelled for them to close it up and open bay. A tech came over checked the oil dip stick twice and then proceeded to put the oil stick in and close the hood for me to leave. It felt wrong. I honked and asked him to show me the stick. He proceeded to open the hood take the stick out 3 times then lay it on the truck and call for a manager. By this time I am out of my truck because I still hadn't see the stick. Manager came over and I explained. I was getting ready to be waved out of the bay and go on my merry way with NO oil. He got combative and argumentative claiming that they were not letting us leave that is why the hood was up. I tried explaining the reason the hood was up was because I asked the tech to show me the dipstick. After he closed the hood for me to leave. Accidents happen and that was a huge one l! The discombobulation came from the manager NOT listening to the customer, I could see his hostility in his eyes and his aggression and his attitude is what was wrong place wrong time. The other two techs apologized and were quick to admit the wrong. The leader however was the opposite. He never listened and walked away.
