Dave and his crew are masters of their craft, and I highly recommend their services. I brought in two cars for detailing: The first one was a VW Beetle that was around 8 years old. It was glimmering, beaming, and looked even better than brand new when I picked it up. The second one was a 25-year-old ranch truck that was in BAD shape. It was caked with sticky ranch mud, cow dung, dog hair, rat nests, and the floorboards were stained with dirt and god knows what else. And it reeked awful!! The guys worked tirelessly and transformed that grubby truck into a work of art. I mean, they could almost put that truck in a museum at this point. They performed nothing less than alchemy. Dave's is a small shop that does one thing and does it well. They clearly like what they do, and I was happy with the detailing they did on a 2-year-old car for me. A couple things to keep in mind so you're not surprised. First, it's a cash only operation, including deposit, so bring a walletful. Second, if he finishes the job mid afternoon, he's going to want to go home, and so be ready to pick the car up when he calls. Good stuff in general though. read more

Had a very pleasant experience with Dave at his new location on N. Bell road. Had a Porsche that was in need of a thorough interior and exterior detail after the recent snow, rain and random weather we've been having. His quote was reasonable compared to others, and I dropped the car off for a few hours. I was pleasantly surprised when I came back to see his attention to detail. Every nook and cranny of the car was thoroughly cleaned, including jambs and other areas detailers tend to overlook. Coupled with a nice Carnauba hand wax it looked showroom ready. He also used dry dressing as opposed to the oily, shiny alternatives for leather which was a huge plus. Dave was super friendly and I had a great experience overall. My car looks like it just rolled off the lot, which is what I expect with an extensive detail. Will use his services again in the future, no question. read more

Dave and his team did a fantastic job transforming the Fiesta my daughter brought home from college to a car I'm willing to drive. Outside and inside of this car looked like a tornado hit it followed by a train wreck. What I got back from Dave was beautiful cleaned like new vehicle. The pictures show the end product, with the last picture showing half of the stuff left in the car. I was trying to find before and after pictures to show the difference, but couldn't find any before pictures. I'm bringing in my Tundra next. read more

I've had trouble finding a detailing spot that I love since moving to Austin, and so I finally gave up and let my Forester get filthy for two years. I finally decided that enough was enough and I had to whip my car back into shape somehow. I found Dave through reviews online, decided to give him a try, and am so happy I did. Dave did an amazing job! After talking on the phone he was able to give me a rough estimate and get me in the next day for a better look at my car. I wish I had taken some before pictures because it was a disaster. After two cross country trips in the past two years, someone throwing up in my car and a glitter explosion, it was not looking good. However Dave was meticulous and got every single piece of glitter and vomit out of the tiny holes in my leather seat. The car looked brand new on the inside when it was done! And smelled amazing. Dave himself led me on for 4 days saying he could do the job. He told me to give him call before I come in. On the day I scheduled with him I sat down calling him at 5 minute intervals to pickup (because he specifically asked me to call in). After 30 minutes of him not picking up he finally did and told me he wouldn't do the job. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO IT THEN TELL ME UP FRONT. This was an utter waste of my time and one of least respectful "respectful declines" I've ever gotten and I won't certainly be going back. read more

I had an issue where a building near my office was being painted and some of the overspray got on my truck. The painting company sent me to Dave to have it taken care of. He did a great job, using clay bar to remove the overspray then sealing and waxing the whole truck (it's a big truck - a 2500 Crew Cab Z-71 Silverado 4x4). There were no swirls nor un-removed wax anywhere and from what I can tell, he got into every nook and cranny with the polish because the paint feels nice and smooth. Dave provided excellent service, actually lending me his own truck to drive while mine was in his shop. I dropped it off at closing time on a Thursday evening and he had it ready for me about midday Friday. I would definitely recommend his detail service. He takes pride in his work and has been in the business for 30 years. read more

Dave is a hero!! I had a paint spill emergency on a late Saturday afternoon and he was available to help me within a half hour. He worked tirelessly for 2-3 hours getting primer out of my passenger side carpet and the speakers on the door. I am absolutely astonished how well he got my car looking back to normal, especially taking an emergency appointment on the weekend. He was super enthusiastic & friendly. MAGIC! (Where does this guy keep his wand?) My wife and I took our cars to Dave's Mobile Auto Detail this week and we could not be happier with the results. People often throw around the phrase "like new," but there's no other way to describe what our cars looked like after spending a day with Dave. I've had detail jobs done in the past, but they always missed something. Dave and his team didn't miss a thing, and they even cleaned things I would never have thought to clean (e.g., behind the rubber seals around the doors). I was also really impressed with Dave's ability to clean and restore leather upholstery. This review is based mostly on Dave's scheduling and professionalism. After Hurricane Harvey, my sunroof leaked, and mold quickly grew inside. I called Dave and asked him about mold removal in a vehicle. He said that he could do the work, but I'd need to bring the vehicle into his shop. That said, he asked that I come in on Tuesday morning at 9:00, because Monday was a holiday. That was it. That's how we scheduled the appointment. Considering all the 5-star reviews, I thought it would be a very informal process, which was completely fine at the time. When I arrived Tuesday morning, I didn't see anybody at the shop. There were cars that looked like they were being worked on, but nobody was there. I waited a bit, in case he had to run a quick errand or something, and then called his phone. He answered, saying that he was driving up to Dallas to help a friend after the hurricane. I understood and we agreed that I should come back the next morning. The next morning, after learning a lesson the day before, I called first and he said that I should bring it up another day, because he was in the middle of a big project on some other vehicle. I thought about giving up, but then waited a few days and called back again to check his availability. After some communication issues between us, I decided to not go with his services. It's unfortunate, because I'm sure he would've done a good job, but based on the scheduling and professionalism, I'm giving Dave's Mobile Auto Detail only 2 stars. read more

Rude. Made me feel like an asshole for "making" them finish my car on a certain day. I wasn't pushy at all, just asked his prices and when he told me he couldn't fit me in, I told him I'd have to check elsewhere since I only had the 1 day available to get it done. He got all huffy and did it anyway. Next time just tell me you can't schedule me that day, don't bite my head off after agreeing to do the job. 1 star cust. service. Maybe a 3-4 star detail job. No "miracles" were performed, all the old stains remained. I can't fault them too much for that, since you can only do so much with old stains on tan carpet. Quite a bit of debris remained in stuff like door handles etc. For $250 I'd have expected just a bit more. read more

I knew Dave was going to be the guy to detail my van when I went by for a quote and once my automatic doors opened up his eyes totally lit up and he said, "I would love to work on this van!" My van is 10 years old and the leather seats that used to be bright gray had a brown tinge to them that I thought was fading. That must have been grime because now the leather looks fantastic, bright gray again! The leather even feels back to it's own soft self! Inside and out, everything looks amazing, so much so that my teenage daughter got in and said, "Really mom, why couldn't you have taken the van to get detailed like two years ago? I've hated this van for the past two years because it was so gross inside." I think she agrees that Dave did an amazing job not only on the seats but on everything. It really looks like it did when I bought it in 2005. Totally worth the money we spent. Highly recommend! :) read more
