Dave's Chimney Service (April 2026) This past winter the outside of our Chimney took a beating, bricks had split, mortar was cracking/ falling out, and the flashing was lifting. We looked around for services available, and Dave's Chimney was one of those. We scheduled a review and a no cost estimate. Dave (the owner) and a member of his crew came out and performed an extensive inspection top to bottom, taking pictures and testing for any potential leaks and areas of weakness. When they had finished Dave sat down with my wife and I and went over the entire review with us. He showed us all the pictures they had taken, test they performed and why. They addressed the areas of concern and what should be repaired to ensure we would have no issues going forward. We were quite impressed and the cost estimate (if we moved forward) was reasonable. We decided that day to move forward. Later that day we received a call from their office setting up a repair date and how to prepare to ensure they could start as soon as possible. The office staff were very professional and helpful. The day came and a three-member crew led by "Diego" showed up at the schedule time. Diego explained in detail what they would be doing from start to finish and if we had any questions along the way that we should not hesitate to ask. They were very professional, and you could tell they ensured their work area was a safe place. They provided updates along the way and kept the area clean. When they had finished the entire area was spotless and you could see a difference in the Chimney. Diego had also taken pictures as they performed their work and used them to show us what they had done, we had a before and after view. I contacted the Service because I had not used my fireplace in some time, and I knew there was a problem with the damper. We made an appointment, and 2 days before, Dave called to reschedule since they were behind because of the weather. I thought he meant to a different day, but it was only till afternoon of the same day. When the staff arrived, they were pleasant, professional and respectful. They went to work immediately and provided an estimate. When I said that I wanted the work done that day, they did it right away, when they were finished they thoroughly cleaned up. On all accounts they were just wonderful and I would not hesitate to use them again. I had priced a chimney cap before with a different company and the cost, I thought, was prohibitive. 12/6/2024: Dave's Chimney Service repaired and installed a chimney liner due to a failed inspection of our existing chimney, it was declared a fire hazard. His workers conducted the job. with utmost professionalism. I can't say enough how happy we are with his service. All of his workers are extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and hard working, Thank you Diego for explaining daily the job that was being conducted in the cold weather. We hired Dave's Chimney Service to fix a variety of exterior issues with our brick chimney (crown rebuild, new custom cap, repointing missing/loose mortar, waterproofing, etc.). Dave was very thorough and informative in discussing repair options and costs with us for the estimate. The four-person crew were very polite and made the extra effort to prevent damage to our new roof, new gutters, and plantings during the repairs. Both Dave and his crew were safety minded which we appreciated and wore protective safety gear and took other safety measures both for the estimate and repair work.
