We contacted Revise through Mass Save. Matt Gill, home energy advisor, came in for the original energy audit. Matt called us prior to his visit with expected ETA and was on time. He completed the audit and went over all of his findings thoroughly. He explained the improvements our home needed to be more energy efficient as well as programs that we might be eligible for (interest free loans, no cost updates and general tips to improve energy efficiency.) The next step was to get our attic more insulation and our bathroom exhaust. Younes and Hector arrived at our home as scheduled for the improvements (again ETA was communicated and they were precisely on time.) They were professional and respectful; Younes and Hector communicated every step they were doing while making sure that they kept their work station clean (they left without leaving a trace. We had Shawn from Revise come out and do an energy assessment. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable he is and how thorough his assessment was. He identified our energy needs and planned for a clean energy system to meet our needs. He included all the "roadblocks" that would need to take place including removing vermiculite, upgrading our electric system, installing a heat pump hybrid hot water tank, a mini-split system for heating and cooling, and new insulation. I'm happy to say all of that has been done. Revise oversaw the entire project and brought in top notch professionals to complete this project. Everyone was very knowledgeable, communicated regularly with us, and set up, cleaned up, and completed the work as designed. Eddie re-worked the mini-split system to meet Mass Save requirements sticking with it through several submits. We are very happy with all the work that was done and are thankful Mass Save approved our project! Definitely call Revise if an energy assessment hasn't been done recently, they did a great job! read more

These fraudsters tricked me into unnecessary insulation work (lied and said my attic needed blown insulation to qualify for a Mass Save mini split rebate, it actually was already fully up to spec) and then did an incredibly shoddy job leaving my house much colder than before, bare spots with no insulation that were well insulated before, and a cold and moldy bathroom ceiling that gets wet every time someone takes a bath or shower. An inspector came out and said that they had installed every single baffle and air dam completely wrong such that they actually make my house colder. read more

We worked with Revise in April 2025 to install seven mini splits and two heat pumps throughout our home. They worked with us to apply for the Mass Save rebates as well. Through the summer we only had one issue where the mini split in our room was not connected properly and did not have AC for a few days, but that was then remedied. However, since the winter started anytime it has reached below a certain temperature one of our heat pumps, that services four of our mini splits, has completely stopped working. This services half our home, and whenever we call Revise it is at least a week to have a technician come out. So we have to just figure out our heat for a whole week, which has increased our electric bills as we had to go out and purchase multiple space heaters and run them constantly just to get by. Now we are in the coldest week of the year expecting a snow storm and the hear pump has stopped working again, and no one can come out to help us. The fact that we just purchased these under a year ago and they are still under warranty and we are having all these issues is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend. read more

How Revise has a Yelp Score of 2.9 (at this time of review) is beyond me. If there was a way to leave a zero star review I would. They must see these bad reviews and then finally show up to the client to fix the problem then ask for the customer to "Revise" (wait now I see how they got their name) their reviews. Revise has a lot of issues getting crews back out to fix issues which are still under warranty. Most recently my mini split in my son's room began producing a loud banging sound and a lot of condensation; enough to ruin a lamp shade and the floor. When we called to have the problem resolved Revise, we accommodated their schedule with ours, but they never showed. No call, no show after rearranging our workday to be available. We texted with an employee (Tammy) from revise who said Randy (The Field Manager) would reach out on Monday morning to reschedule. Monday came and went at 6:56pm I emailed Tammy and Randy stating we never received any communication from Randy. Within the minute Randy responded stating he was just getting in from a "nightmare install" and would call me the following morning. I find it hard to believe that he was just getting in, when all the crews we've dealt with from revise left our home no later than 4pm (we had them do other work in the past) with or without a mess to be cleaned. Luckily Randy called me back the following morning to reschedule. His crew was supposed to be here this morning between 8-9am it is currently 9:45am and once again, zero communication on being late or missing an appointment. We have no clue how we're supposed to be the "first appointment" of the day and still no crew or communication. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH REVISE. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK. Once the money is in their hands, you're and after thought. Update: The crew was apologetic and fixed the issue. The Hvac crew was very friendly. My main issue was and still is their lack of communication between scheduling and crews on site. read more

They did a complete home assessment, replaced my thermostats, checked the shower heads and then sat down to completely explain what they had found and their recommendations. They were extremely friendly and professional; I would highly recommend this company! read more

First appt they never showed up. Told me they will call me back and never called me back. After doing the work. They have ruined my recess lights. Also ripped out a wood board in my attic without asking me. They told me they are going to charge me a certain amount and ended up over charing me. Can't tell a customer what you will charge and then charge way more then what ur suposed to. Told me they will call me back about a refund of the overcharge they did. And never recieved a phone call back. Overall I will not recommend this company. Better to avoid this company and use someone else. read more

Worst company in the world, horrible customer service, rude technicians and just don't care about the customer. Do not keep appointments, no communication between schedulers and technicians. Every time they came out the messed up something else. Literally on day 2 without heat and they promised us someone would be there and no one has showed. read more

We applied for the Mass Save Revise program to install mini-split systems in our 2 family home. Todd Binns from Revise co-ordinated the project, and the 3 installers did an excellent job. We are impressed with the program, and very happy with the result. Top marks all around. read more

Ian came out for assessment thru Mass Save. He was thorough and gave a fair quote. The issues all came with the install. The crew had no regard for my home. They left insulation all over the house, on floors, stuck to doors ... everywhere they had been. They blew fuses and we had no electricity in our living room or kitchen or a brand new outside porch light until a manager came out the next day and Jimmy rigged the kitchen and living room back on. He saw the mess they made and left it in the basement (I wet vacuumed after he left) They insulated over our oil fill pipe, & that had to be cut out later by them. I had just resided my home and they trampled over two beautiful new door mats and ruined them both. The manager did take the cost of them off of my amount owed after I insisted. A wooden beam was left in a bedroom leaning on boxes of expensive Lenox China. Again, zero regard for our home. They sent an electrician out almost two weeks later who again Jimmy rigged our fuse box. He said our brand new porch light was "junk" after looking at it for two minutes and couldn't fix it. Later that'd week our own electrician fixed it at an additional cost to us. On the first day after the complete mess and no electricity in two rooms I refused to sign off in the job or pay. I did pay the next day after the manager returned. Time will tell if the insulation results in lower heating & cooling bills. The aggravation of a complete mess every where, cut electrical services in places, a covered oil fill pipe, & destroyed door mats certainly makes me think I should have gone with another company that would be more mindful of messes, oil fill pipes, & electrical issues. read more

We had Revise come out to do a MassSave assessment on the 70+ year old Cape we just purchased. Found out that it had NO insulation, which explained why it was so hot when we moved in. Matt and Brennan did our energy assessment, and drafted up our quote for the work - they did a very thorough job of walking me through all our options and explaining the best choices for our house. It was supposed to be a two day job, but the guys who came out (Truck #2 - Tim, Steve, and Rich) were able to get it all done in one day, even with it being brutally hot out! They also ran a dryer vent line for me, since our previous one vented out under our addition, which is definitely not what you want when you just got new insulation there. We'll definitely be using them again to install our minisplits later this year! read more

I worked with Revise Energy through Mass Save. The consultant and Inspector, Sam, came to my home in early September. He assessed the home (circa 1900) and prepared an insulation installation program. The program was extensive and would be about $4000 with Mass Save covering the standard 75% of the costs. When the installation crew came in November (their earliest available date), the crew left after 10 minutes saying that the house was too old and fragile to handle blown in installation. This was not the only insulation work indicated by Sam, however. The crew left and completed no one thing...leaving me with the problem of not having any recourse. MASS SAVE will not allow another inspection for several years. I do not 'blame' Revise Energy as much as their inspector, Sam, who apparently is not knowledgeable or qualified...The management, though, also offered no suggestions or alternatives. Do not use this company for your Mass Save audit and program. read more

We were told of the WRONG promotion date AFTER the job was completed. After signing the contractor - I reached out to ZAK (field manager/supervisor) on what I saw on the contract. He assured TWICE our job was 100% complete covered. Only to find out this wasn't true after the installation date, and they won't honor it given it was THEIR own SUPERVISOR who assured us. Don't do business with them. They are not well trained, or well run company. **They first did our audit a year ago, and had a BAD on field supervisor. They assured this time it will be different, BUT IT WASN'T! They are a bunch of hustler. WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. read more

Let me just say that the actual work they do is very good when they actually arrive at your house. HOWEVER they will trash your house with no regard that you actually live there. You have to remind them to put down tarps, close doors even if the rain is coming into the house and water pooling on your wood floors, the spray sealant was dripped on everything and they didn't place tarps over items in our basement and left clumps of insulation everywhere. This is where the story begins. We have an older house we are slowly rehabbing. We scheduled an appointment with the sales guy. He stated it will be left cleaner when they are done (so not true) and if you done want any of the services just call me. Well they rescheduled us 7 times. I called to state we didn't want one of the services and our sale guy dropped the ball which left us with on-site negotiations with the crew. The basement was trashed with drippings of spray insulation all over the walls, doors and shelving and floors. I directed them to come in2 specific doors but they decided to walk through the house which insulation and black boot marks on the floors and stairs we have to scrub off. This was out of the 7 contractors in the past 6 weeks THE WORST experience. I would not recommend this business. read more

Geoff came out to do our energy audit through Mass saves. He was professional, and explained everything thoroughly. We were quoted a price for blown in insulation in our first floor, sealing the basement with foam and batting, and putting foam board up in the ceiling of our cape cod style home. This was covered at 75% off by the Mass Saves program. We did not have to pay this extra cost and get reimbursed, Revise took care of everything! When Norman and his team arrived, they were very professional, taking care not to damage any items, and were cautious of the flooring and tracking of snow inside the house. The team found some more issues with the ceiling not originally visible during the inspection, and added those services at no additional cost. These extra services took more time, but the team worked to come back the next day to finish the job. My house already feels tighter and less drafty, and I look forward to a cooler summer and a warmer winter! Thanks guys! read more

Got a reference to Revise at Home Depot and Marvin Lozada came out to the house for the evaluation. Guys who did the work were fine and it was a good deal overall because the state covers 75%, but here are the problems we experienced. Number 1....Marvin said we needed to hire a contractor to perform a knob and tube inspection, but that we would be reimbursed for this cost. It cost $125 and though we did everything Marvin asked, such as submit the contactor's invoice and the inspection form, and though I followed up on this point with Marvin after the job was complete and he assured us the cost was going to be reimbursed, we never received any reimbursement for this additional cost and it is now about 4 months after the job was complete. Number 2....Marvin said we would also be reimbursed for part of the cost of removal/re-installation of flooring. I also followed up on this point with Marvin with the same result as above. Once the job is done, Marvin is done too. He's very polite and nice to talk to but I will let you come to your own conclusion about whether he is honest. Number 3.....Marvin measured the attic as needing 352 square feet of insulation. When the guys arrived to do the work, they were quite surprised by this figure; the attic actually needed 731 square feet of insulation, which added to the cost of the job for us compared to the original quote and led to a delay in the work. If I receive any reimbursement mentioned above, I'll revise this review. read more

I recently had a Mass Save energy audit conducted by Revise Energy. I previously used the Mass Save energy rebate to insulate my home 2 years ago. This visit was for an update to make sure there were not any additional areas where savings could be found. I was extremely impressed by the Home Energy Consultant, Kyle Sousa, who came to my home. He did a very thorough review of my home from top to bottom and explained everything along the way. He found some minor issues that should have been taken care of 2 years ago, but nothing major. I found Kyle to be a true professional who was very knowledgable about home construction in general. His feedback and recommendations for improved energy savings was much appreciated. I wish this company had been around 2 years ago when I first used Mass Save as I was not that impressed with the contractor I used at that time, who had to come back after not passing the Mass Save post-inspection. I would highly recommend using Revise through the rebate program based on my recent experience with Kyle and the staff at the main office who were also very courteous and helpful in setting this up. If I move to a different house in the future, I will definitely be calling Revise! read more

I signed up to have Revise Energy out to my home because my friend had it done and told me it was a no-brainer. It sounded almost too good to be true, but then I learned that I have been paying for this program all along, on my utility bills. Lizzie came out to the house, checked that our boiler was running safely, replaced all our inefficient light bulbs to LEDs, then looked at the overall efficiency of the home and gave us a customized report of recommendations. She was very pleasant, professional and clearly explained everything. She proposed over $2,300 dollars worth of insulation and air sealing work for my house, through the program. My out of pocket was just under $500. The crew that came out to do the work was stellar, and treated my home with respect and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. My house feels so much warmer. I've since recommended Revise to several friend. This program is amazing. read more
