When I had called other movers for quotes they were more interested in getting my credit card info before I could tell them what my needs were. Not Jason. It was just so simple. The day of my move. This was scheduled between 9am-10am. I had a 30 minute early arrival which was perfect. Usually you would expect some excuse of a delay. The two young gentlemen were so polite and professional. Before I knew it I had at least two large pieces of furniture on the truck. Well handled I might add. These guys were so careful! They both were so efficient, worked great as a team, and just wonderful to have taking good care of our possessions. Thank you Jason, CJ, and Ky. The movers came to my home 1 hour late from the agreed time. They came unprepared and did not bring tape to wrap up my furniture. The movers also came to my home HIGH as can be and worked in slow motion, one decided to come to my house in slippers to move heavy furniture. While disassembling some of the furniture in my home, it was communicated that one of my office desks could not be disassembled as it will take about an hour to do so. My husband and father in law took care of it in a matter of 5 minutes. This is how high the movers were. They clearly were too incompetent to take care of this. After driving the furniture to the new home, the movers realized that they left all of their tools at my old house which ended up taking me an hour total to pick up the tools from the old house and bring it to the new house. To top all of this off, the owner communicated he would reimburse an hour for this and he lied and never did. We were charged an extra hour for this inconvenience because his men couldn't do their job right. The movers ended up chipping some of the framing in the new house for one of our doors and ended up cracking the brand new tile when moving in our furniture (mind you this is a rental I'm living in). Once everything was moved into the new home, i was going to make a payment with my credit card and was told that the owner only accepts cash which he never communicated to begin with. I explained to the owner that i didn't have the cash but would give him a check and he could cash it within one week. The owner Jason started yelling and swearing at me uncontrollably on the phone and ended the call. The movers refused to leave my house until payment was made even though we only had a card to pay with. Luckily I was able to contact a family member to let me borrow the funds however I was scared for my life and my family's life. This has been by far the worst moving company EVER! I wouldn't recommend them not even to my worst enemy. Save your money and go with another moving company. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my lifetime. I am just very disgusted and disappointed with the owner and the men he hired to do the job! Responding to the owners comment: I am speaking the truth and I am sorry that you are upset by this. Between traffic and the time it takes to get to one house and then back to the other house yes it took a total of 1 hour that you never refunded. You never communicated the payment method when we initially spoke and I did in fact communicate how many bedrooms and all the furniture we had. I do have all the calls recorded for your review if you'd like along with the one where you yelled at me and swore uncontrollably. Not once did I say I wasn't going to pay so please do not lie.you were the one that ended the call because that's how upset you were so please do not get it twisted. Learn some decency and do a better job next time than to try and threaten a woman, belittle her and speak to her as if she was trash. The bonus was, after having to cancel on them for an initial request because the seller thought he found a different buyer, I was able to set another appointment with super short notice and these movers pulled through! One minor thing to be aware of: They told me during the move that they include the time it takes them to drive to the initial moving site and back to their home from the moving site in their total time. It wasn't a big deal, but I purchased the Groupon, which doesn't mention this in the fine print. That was the only little surprise. Otherwise, no hidden fees. Great punctuality and communication, and everything was handled with extreme care. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Straight Path Moving was one of the worst moving experiences I've ever had…read more When I booked the move, I was told pricing was straightforward and everything was included. Halfway through the move, after much of my furniture had already been wrapped, I was suddenly informed that I would be charged $20 for every moving blanket used because the destination was a storage unit. This was never disclosed during booking. At that point, I was given the choice to either pay for the blankets or have my belongings unwrapped. That's not a real choice when your move is already underway. What was most frustrating wasn't the charge itself--it was the complete lack of upfront communication. Had I been told beforehand, I could have purchased my own blankets or made a different decision. Instead, the information was withheld until it was too late to do anything about it. Things got worse when the truck broke down on the way to the storage unit, leaving my husband waiting for approximately two hours. While breakdowns happen, there was no apology, no effort to make things right, and no discount offered for the inconvenience. The only concession was that they stopped the clock during the delay. The final issue occurred at the storage unit. The crew stopped unloading in order to secure payment before completing the job. I've moved multiple times, both locally and across state lines, and I've never had a moving company refuse to finish unloading until payment was made. It escalated into an argument and only after significant back-and-forth were we able to reach a compromise so they would continue unloading our belongings. I expect moving companies to be transparent, professional, and communicative. Instead, I encountered surprise charges, poor communication, equipment failures, and payment tactics that left me feeling uncomfortable and pressured. This review is not about wanting anything for free. It's about honesty and transparency. If there are storage blanket charges, tell customers before the move. If you require payment before unloading is complete, disclose that before booking. Customers deserve to know the full terms upfront so they can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
