When I bought the truck, I returned to SCA in Salem and told them all the issue it had after my mechanic looked at it. They agreed to go over the list and work on anything they saw that needed fixing. They ended up keeping the truck for a month. When I came to pick-up the truck and ask them, what all did you end up doing, I never got a straight answer other than my mechanic didn't know what they were talking about and the truck was fine. Since then, I had to install new breaks and the 4x4 actuator was locked up and had to be replaced. I continue to get an engine light for the Turbo, I'm sure i'll have to replace that soon. She explained all the new features of the Outback eventually leading us to take a test drive. We were now, interested in negotiating a possible deal. Allison took us to her desk and we started the dreaded process of back and forth negotiation. In my 52 years of driving and 22 car purchases later I knew what was ahead. Or not. We discussed the pricing, and after Allison consulted with the sales manager Tony, we inked a deal. I believe we countered twice before we accepted. The process, was very easy. We were taken to the office of Finance Manager John. This was another part of a purchase that is not enjoyed. John, from the beginning, had us laughing and really made the process enjoyable. He navigated us through the purchase and finance options with ease and explained every detail. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and an asset to Subaru of Albany. Of all the vehicles I've purchased (22) this was by far the easiest, most enjoyable process I've ever had. Good job! Most recently I purchased a 2017 Kia Forte in March. Two days later, the check engine light came on. It also started leaking oil shortly after that. When I took it into the shop, they found three different leaks in my oil pan and a damaged ignition coil. It cost over $1,400 in repairs. In addition, my trunk leaks water. When I saw water in the spare tire department in the trunk, I asked the salesman about it and he told me that it was leftover from detailing. Turns out, whenever it rains it fills with water again. I have yet to repair it since I'm still trying to recover from the previous expenses for this car. We will see how much it costs to repair it. The car before this one was a 2016 Kia Forte that I got from them that they marketed as having brand new tires. Turns out that when they replaced the tires, they never replaced the tire pressure sensors. Cost around $300 to replace and when I called and asked if this dealership would cover the costs, they refused. I thought it was just an honest mistake until I got this last car and it had several issues. I'm not saying that they intentionally sell damaged vehicles, but if they aren't trying to be misleading then they are unable to properly inspect their inventory for damages.

While they don't have the service department or the huge lot of vehicles, the process with them is pressure-free and friendly. Also, you don't spend a whole day at the dealership if you buy from them, they know what they're doing and don't waste time going back and forth between buyer and manager or whatever it is the larger places do to drag things along. They also won't push you to buy something you don't need. Every time we've been there, they've waited awhile before approaching us, letting us look at vehicles without feeling like you're going to be accosted by a stereotypical salesperson as soon as you park on the lot. Also, if you're looking for something really specific, they do offer to do the searching for you and will get you the car you're looking for, if you can't find it here right away. I recommend Oregon Roads all the time!
